《SS Arshi:The bet》part 1

In fact, as she was about to enter the locker room of the cricket team, she decided arriving late was a good thing. The guys would not be expecting her at all and with their guards down she'll get her story.
As she entered the room, it wasn't their guards that fell, it was hers.
Surrounded by half-naked men, in various states of undress khushii's eyes went wide. She had never seen so many gorgeous men in one room, with their rippling muscles and exposed backsides exposed by gaping towels it was every women's dream.
She should have been prepared for this. As she stood there thinking about it – all those grown men were staring at her as the noise had dropped to a deafening silence.
Suddenly, her bravado was disappearing from moments before. She felt that her beautiful figure hugging suite was too revealing.
"Hi" she waved nervously to the team making sure not to look below the waist of any of these players so to speak.
"I am the new sports reporter for theTimes of India." She was met with smiles and a few hellos. Some of the players turned away their curiosity satisfied but some continued to stare at her.
Mustering all her courage and sass, "Great game guys"khushi said smiling "Who wants to be the first one to appear on my column?"
"You got to be kidding yourself. This is my team so you better butt out" khushi looked at the guy who was standing a few feet away. He was not one of the players. Who was this jerk she thought.
With all the boredom she could show on her face, she asked "And who could you be?"
"Shyam jha" he said with a glout to his tone.
Everybody knew him. He was one of the best sports writers in this area. He had previously wrote the column that she had been offered. Even though his confidence was justified, She felt that he should not have been nasty.

"your name sounds familiar" she said with mock concentration. "Wait! I recognize you now. At the paper today morning they were playing darts and you know what! they were playing it on your photo" she said her eyes going wide. "That means they do hate you to that extent! Amazing!"
A roar of laughter drew her attention to the player who was leaning against his locker. He had a handsome face. He'd had an amazing career as a star batsman and his eyes were laughing at her.
He was her father's favorite player. He was a downright hottie. She needn't even get closer to him to realize that he was far better looking in person than on a picture.
"Hey Sweetheart, come out with me after hours and I will give you an exclusive!" he said suggestively
"Mr.arnav singh raizada!" she said exasperatedly
It just can't be Mr.raizada. It's not going to happen" khushi said in a serious tone.
He pulled her closer as another team member walked by. Though it was an innocent act her heartbeat went into overdrive. The scent of freshly showered male was intoxicating her senses.
"So, about the interview…" khushi lost her train of thought as arnav slightly adjusted the towel. She followed the action. She had to swallow and force her eyes upwards to stop starring at him and the barely there towel.
His lips twitched with mischief as he said, "I trust you to shut your eyes if it falls off"
That made her laugh. Mr arnav singh raizada without the towel! Well if that was the case no way in hell was she shutting her eyes ever!!
"What's so funny?"
"You are being bad and you know it. Cut some slack with this new reporter"
"Now, where is the fun in that?"

"Hey Lady!" some other player called out to her.
She did not recognize the voice but before she turned around to make the rounds, she looked at arnav and said in a very low voice "Put some ice on that wrist"
His eyes showed surprise. Surprised that she had guessed what others had not noticed yet.
"I am fine"
"O.k. But Ice the wrist arnav. This is completely off the record, I will not report it. Your secret is safe with me. I promise." saying that khushi walked out.
After an hour he went to the after hours party for celebrating their victory. That damn reporter was sexy with long wavy black hair and those sultry curves she occupied prime space in his head but she occupied his head for another reason, she knew his secret.
His buddies were playing pool. He joined in. One of the kids in the team, who was always behind arnav said,
"I saw you trying to score with that reporter; looks like she din't give you the time of day"
"You don't know what you are talking about kid; if I want her I can have her"
"She is a lady and I think she will not have you"
"Sure yuva, she will want you, a green nosed kid who does not know anything. Keep on dreaming"
"Say, what you want? You will not get her"
Akash walked in at that very moment and said, "Want to bet on this"
"No, I am not going to" arnav said
"Scared are you" yuva replied gloating at him.
Arnav wanted to teach Yuva a lesson so he said "you got yourself a bet kid! Let's see who comes out the victor"
The bet was committed; khushi will be in his arms and in his bed soon. Keeping this beautiful reporter occupied will be a good idea, if it will give her something else to think about other than his wrist!

No More Respawns
Synopsis: The first time Allen died, he was forced back into a living hell where death is temporary, and power is all that matters. With evil and depravity as the rule, tragedy becomes comedy and life becomes an act. Only a deal with a shady god can get him back to his old life, but what happens if there’s nothing left to save? Maybe hell isn’t so bad if you have infinite lives… until you don’t. Needless to say, it’s all fun and games until there’s no more respawns. Foreword: This story is meant primarily as an action adventure and secondarily as a dark and nihilistic comedy. It may not be readily apparent in the beginning, but that's what I have planned (I feel the need to emphasize the dark; don’t rage at me if it gets too ‘traumatizing’ or something). I’m going to take my time with this, so it won’t immediately inundate you with doom and gloom. This is also a comedy, remember? On that note, if for some cursed reason you just can't handle either the references or the jokes, I am willing to battle in the comments. Anyway, I still put a significant amount of effort into the system, so I hope you enjoy that part. It is a little bulky, I'll admit to that, but I wanted to try something new and its more fun when there's more depth to it. Regardless, I still have a lot of fun doing math in the middle of writing a fictional story (/s). I also want to see if I can keep from messing up the pacing. Many times, I end up going too fast because I'm afraid of the story getting boring, which tends to ironically have the opposite effect. I'm still learning I suppose; we'll see how things go. Lastly, please leave reviews and comments, they really mean a lot to me and (usually) help me improve considerably. I'll be asking for feedback in the polls and I do still check the old ones from time to time. Notes: The story takes a bit of time to develop; give it time if you're here for drama, grimdark, or antihero. The system is all blue boxes and I'm not half-assing the numbers. Chapters will be between 1k and 2k words usually. I always use the oxford coma, fight me. Might drop if rating falls below 4 stars, idk. It depends on how my life is going. Cover drawn by yours truly in MS paint. (I have skill, I know)
