Doctor Jonathan Crane was no fool.

He knew that Blake Belladonna woman was suspicious of him. She wouldn't have tracked him to his home if she wasn't suspicious of him. If he didn't cut these deals, she was going to expose him. Which was why he had come to Torchwick that day.

"No more favors," Crane said to him. "Someone is sniffing around."

"Hey, I scratch your back, you scratch mine, Doc," Torchwick said with a smile. "I'm bringing in the shipments."

"We are paying you for that."

"Maybe money isn't as interesting to me as favors."

Crane shook his head. "I am more than aware that you are not intimidated by me, Mr. Torchwick. But you know who I'm working for, and when she gets here--"

Roman immediately tensed up at that. "Wait. She's coming to Vale?"

"Yes, she is," Crane nodded. "And when she gets here, she's not going to wanna hear that you've endangered our operation just to get your thugs out of jail time."

Torchwick nodded. "Who's bothering you?"

"There's a girl from Beacon Academy," Crane said. "Her name is Blake Belladonna."

"We'll buy her off," Torchwick said.

"Not this one."

Roman chuckled. "Idealist, huh? Well, there's an answer to that too."

"I don't want to know."

"Yes, you do . . ."
