《Winter Wonderland》A Beautiful Tyrant: part 27

Three days later...
"I've been seeing a lotta dude rehearsing the audition number in the gym over lunch break." Ace said, noting that the gym was full os students from different dorms practicing for the audition.
"Those chumps better not be after the prize." Grim crossed her arms angrily. "Nobody takes my tuna!"
"I suspect more of them are after a potential pro debut than prize money. Fufufu" Y/n said, chuckling.
"Now that you mention it, they do all seem like they're in their element." Deuce said, placing a hand under his chin.
"Don't let them intimidate you" Jamil advised. "You've also made great strides with your singing ability. It's a far cry from when you started out sounding like a panicked elephant.
"Indeed. You've also gotten better at holding a note. Vocal training can be brutal for newbies" Y/n grinned.
"You all deserve a pat on the back!" Kalim smiled. "Now, let's get back to it. Today we'll focus on doing the whole song from start to finish!"
"Yes, sir!"
"But before that" Kalim haulted a bit. "Y/n, can you show us a live demonstration of the audition piece?" he asked.
"Oh?" Y/n perked an eyebrow. "Alright then."
"Ooh! I can't wait to see Y/n's version of the dance!" Deuce happily exclaimed.
"Cue the music, Yuu!" Ace grinned as well, pretty excited to watch Y/n dance and sing to them.

"kikoeru darou

Y/n began singing, also doing the dance as well.

"Wow, she sure does know how to live up to her reputation" Deuce awed at her dancing.
"Myehehe!" Grim laughed. "Just wait until the Great Grim reaches up to her level!"

Come along Wonderland!"
The music ended as it was everyone else's turn.
"Heh. Let's see how far you've come" Y/n smirked.
"Try to follow me and Kalim as much as you can" Jamil advised.
"Don't you dare mess up today, Deucey-boy" Ace added.
"I know." Deuce rolled his eyes. "I'll show them everything I've learned!"
"There you go getting all serious again." Kalim chuckled. "You gotta lose up and have fun!"
"Wow!" Kalim beamed. "You guys have really improved. Nice! Hey, I know. Why not try adding in something like this, too?" he asked, doing a complicated dance move.
"Whoa!" Deuce cheered. "How did you do that?!"
"You just the floor with your hand like 'bam!' and raise your feet up. Easy!" Kalim explained.
"Uh, I think we're gonna need something a little more concrete than that." Ace sweatdropped.
"You're going great!" Yuuna cheered.
"Woohoo! We got the final pose down pat!" Grim exclaimed.
"How did we do, Y/n?" asked Deuce.
"Pretty well. You kept up with the music." Y/n stated. "You've down well in such a short amount of time"
"I agree. Congratulations." Jamil added.
"Yeah, you can do it when you put your minds to it! Great job!" Kalim said.
"Yes!" Deuce pumped his fist in the air. "I pulled off the whole dance without missing a step! And I didn't blank out on any song lyrics, either."
"Myah ha! Same." Grim exclaimed. "I didn't step on my own tail once."

"Fufufu, good job, Grim" Y/n clapped.
"I have to hand it to you guys, Y/n, and Jamil." Ace grinned. "It's not small feat to teach guys with such awful memories how to boogie. And in such a short time frame!"
"What he said!" Kalim priased as well. "Jamil makes everything super easy to understand. It's helped me a ton over the years. Y/n teaching is just as great!"
"Ahem!" Jamil coughed. "Let's not make this about me. You've got all the basics under the belt now. From here on out, you're on your own. Keep practicing for the audition."
"Guess we'll be rivals on audition day, huh?" Kalim says. "I'll still keep my fingers crossed for you guys!"
"Naturally, I don't plan to lose either" Jamil smirked.
"Cocky much?" Ace said. "Then again, I've got the same idea."
"My dulcet tones and smooth moves are gonna leave the Y/n and the other judges spellbound!" Grim bragged.
"Jamil, Kalim, Y/n, thank you both for your generous help!" Deuce bowed in thanks.
"Oh, yes- have you applied for the audition yet?" asked Jamil.
"Wait, what?" questioned Grim.
"Good grief..." Jamil sighed. "I had a feeling. You're not exactly fastidious. I'm glad I double-checked."
"Aha ha! You're always on top of this stuff, Jamil." Kalim priased.
Y/n facepalmed, deadpanning at how the boys forgot about signing up while Yuuna sweatdropped.
"Yes, well, some habits are ingrained in me from dealing with a certain someone on a regular basis." Jamil said, giving Kalim a sharp look.
"Ara...You need to apply in advance to tka epart in the SDC audition." Y/n sighed, crossing her arms. "Rook Hunt in Class 3-A is handling applications."
"Oh yeah, I remember reading that on the poster." Ace remembered.
"The deadline to apply is the day before the audition" Y/n reminded. "Don't forget to take care of that in time."
"Yes, ma'am! Thank you, Ma'am!" Deuce said, like he was part of the Imperial knights or something.
"Rook's easy to identify by his hat and blond bob" Jamil added. "But I'm sure you'll know him when you see him."
"Fufufu" Y/n chuckled.
The Heartslabyul duo and the Amaryllis trio stopped by at class 3-A to apply for the SDC.
"So this is 3-A..Hunt's haunt, as it were," Deuce said, opening the door, and stepping inside. "It's kind of intimidating going into one of the upperclassmen's classrooms."
"We barely ever interact with upperclassmen from other dorms as it is" Ace sighed. "Maybe we should flag down one of the Heartslabyul juniors for this?"
"No need. I got a idea on who can help" Y/n grinned, turning to a familiar lion. "Kitty kitty!" she called out.
"...Huh?" Leona turned his head to the person who called him such an embarrassing nickname only to see that it was Y/n and her mini group.
"Gah! Y/n!" Ace yelped, taking a step back "Why'd you have to call out to HIM?!"
"Why not?" asked Y/n.
"He's the Savanaclaw Housewarden!" Deuce added.
"He was the only person I recognize?" Y/n perked a brow, looking at the scardy-cats.
"Same with me," Grim said.
"I can feel everyone in the room staring at us..." Yuuna mumbled, hiding behind Deuce.
Leona smirked at Y/n in a teasing manner. "You've got nerve trying to order me around, Lioness. If you want something, YOU come to ME"
Y/n rolled her eyes playfully.
"We ain't even ten meters apart!" Grim shouts. "Geez, some people."
"You know, sometimes, Y/n leaves me awestruck," Deuce mumbled.
"Same..." Ace agreed.
Leona walked over to Y/n, wrapping his arms around her before turning to the others. "So, what do you want, Herbivores?" he asked. "This had better be good."
"We're lookin' for a guy named Rook Hunt." Yuuna said. "Could you introduce us?"
"Why?" Leona's expression turned sour. "What do you want with THAT weirdo?"
"We wanna apply for the Song & Dance Championship!" Grim answered.
"C'est vrai?!" a voice spoke from behind them. "Magnifique! I welcome all new challengers with open arms!"
"WHOA!" the boys yelped, falling back a bit.
"Ara ara~ You sure know how to make a fabulous entrance, Rook Hunt~"

That Scottish Play
This is a very silly and cringey parody of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play format will be kept consistent throughout. Unless you enjoy cringing so hard you experience physical pain, I'd suggest avoiding this work. However, as the level of cringe is only slightly less than that of the office, any fans of that show may enjoy this work. (I believe, as a parody, this work is protected from copyright by fair use, additionally, Shakespeare is in the public domain so it doesn't fall under copyright in the first place. If I'm wrong please let me know)
