《Winter Wonderland》The Merchant from the Depths: part 21

Yuuna opened her eyes, gasping for air. She had another strange dream. She looked around to see that she was back in her room in the beautiful ice palace. "Was I dreaming of the sea...?" she mumbled, questioning herself.
"Mrrrghrow....The trick to tests...is if there's two choices it's a trick question..." Gim snored. Is he studying, in his sleep?
"Coming off an all-night cram session?" Yuuna asked before flinching in surprise when Y/n burst through the door. "Rise and Shine, my lovely dormmates!~" she sang. Recently, she began singing to jumpscare people who are either dozing off or vulnerable.
Grim also flinched in surprise as well. "MYAH?! Don't surprise me like that! You'll make me forget everything I memorized!" he shouts at Y/n who only responded with a giggle.
"You guys need to get ready. After all, today is the big day!" Y/n said before closing the door to give Yuuna privacy to change.
Grim then turned to Yuuna. "Today's the last day of final exams, y'know" he reminded. "You and I are still technically one student put together, so you better not tank my grades, Yuuna"
"Time to get dressed and hit those exams!" Yuuna cheered before getting ready for school.
As soon as the members of Amaryllis sat down, they were greeted by Ace and Deuce, rooting for each other and wishing them good luck. After all, they're gonna need it.
The boys were confident that they'll ace the exams, while Yuuna was a bit nervous, but trust herself to do well. After all, she was tutored by Y/n, who was insanely intelligent.
Y/n advised Yuuna to double-check her answers to make sure that she was confident.
"The test is over whelps. Put your pens away and hand over your answer sheets like good little dogs. And with that, I do believe exa,s have come to a close." Professor Crewel concluded.
"YEAH!" everyone cheered except for Yuuna and Y/n who only stared at the boys like they were idiots or something. Crewel then hit his teacher pointer against that table to have everyone be quiet.
"Down! SIT! Don't start celebrating yet. Any bad boys who fare poorly in their exams...will be given mandatory remedial lessons over the winter holidays. Consider yourself warned. Class dismissed." Crewel said.

As soon as everyone turned in their papers, many students left the classroom.
"Whew, FINALLY. It's over!" Ace said, stretching his arms up.
"I have it my absolute best." Deuce hummed. "All that's left is to wait for our scores to come back."
"Myah hah hah! No lousy test is a match for my brilliant mind." Grim laughed, doing a little happy dance on Yuuna's test, making the girl chuckle.
"Really? You guys usually look like your lives just flashed before your eyes after the written exams. Now you're changing your tune?" Ace questioned.
"Heh heh," Grim chuckled evilly. "You bet your bottom mora I am. Today marks the dawn of a new and improved me!" he announced. "You better be ready, 'cause soon you'll all be callin' me 'Galaxy Brain Grim' and beggin' for scraps of my knowledge"
Deuce shook his head. "That's a bold calm, but I'm pretty confident in my performance this time myself. No offense, but I'm definitely gonna outscore you." the spade boy grinned smugly.
"Says the guy who's perpetually biting his lip and barely staying above a failing grade." Ace huffed. "Of course, this test was a piece of cake for me, so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna come out on top"
Yuuna chuckled a bit. "You must have all studied hard"
"Pretty much, yup! This's baby-tier stuff" Ace grinned.
'I know for sure Ace is just being cocky...but the tests given to me were harder stuff that wasn't even in the study guides...that damn crow. He probably wanted me to do something far harder but it's fine. After all, the test was way too easy..' Y/n thought in her head, sighing in exhaustion. 'It's almost time for that day...man, at least Malleus is gonna have more help'
"Anway, exams are gone and dusted. I'm gonna hit up the track club" Deuce said, picking up his special school bag, putting it over his shoulder. Y/n has recently given the unique school bag to Leona, which he was delighted to have since his future wife gave it to him.
"Y'know, I could stand to get in some exercise at the Basketball Club myself. Let's break this huddle for today, guys" Ace said, walking out of the classroom with the others.

"Let's head back to the dorm, Yuuna and Y/n. I'm dead on my feet after that all-nighter" Grim whined, jumping into Yuuna's arms to sleep.
"Alright. Sleep tight, Grim" Yuuna smiled towards the raccoon while Y/n had a motherly smile on her face.
"Why did you ignore my summons yesterday?" Azul asked. "You clearly don't understand the position you're in." he looked down at the shivering Octavinelle student.
"L-look, I was just dealing with some, uh, stomach problems..." the student said. It was quite obvious that he was just making a petty excuse.
"Excuses, excuses..." the shadow murmured.
"Is that true? Because lying would not do you any favors, I assure you" Azul spoke in a dark tone.
"Yes, it's true! I was sick to my stomach" the Octavinelle spoke, looking up at his Housewarden.
"Jade, why don't you help motivate our friend here to speak a bit more honestly?" Azul asked, motioning for the gentlemen-like twin to come forth.
"As you wish." Jade said, making the student flinch when the eel stepped closer. "Now, now, there's no need to flinch. This won't hurt one bit." Jade spoke with a smile. "If you could look my way? Yes, just like that. " he activated his unique magic.
"Hrk! Wh-what was that?!" the student yelped.
"Now, let's try this again. Why didn't you respond to Azul's summons yesterday?" Jade asked.
"Because I was sick..." the student started off. "...sick of running myself ragged doing the dirty work of a low-down, black-hearted cheater like Azul, this is!" he yelled angrily. "Of course, I wasn't actually sick to my stomach. That's just an excuse!"
Then the student realized what has happened and what he has said. "Grk! What in the world?! My mouth started moving faster than my brain, and...oh crud!" and it was that moment that he knew, he fucked up.
"There we have it- your true feelings on the matter" Jade spoke.
"Oh, dear...Goodness gracious me. Why I'm positively wounded" Azul wiped away a fake tear. "Here I granted you a wish out of benevolence rivaling that our venerable Sea Witch herself...and you would turn around and call me- what was that again? " Azul sighed in a sarcastic manner.
"I-I'm sorry!" the Octavinelle student panicked. "This is all a misunderstanding, I swear!"
For some reason, this scene sounded oddly familiar...
"Please spear me! I-it was just a misunderstanding...! Blanche was the one who seduced me f-first!" a corrupted count spoke in fear as Azul felt his body moving in the illusion. It was his past self, Mika. After all, Azul was the 4th soul piece of Mika.
Mika kneeled down, harshly grabbing onto the count, smiling wickedly. "I know what I saw. And my beloved Blanche would never betray me~ It isn't fair how you accuse innocent women of committing such fox-like acts, so I shall steal everything you hold dear. Starting with ruining your face"
Suddenly the count screamed in pain when Mika used his magic to splash poison on the count's face, making Mika to let out a dark chuckle, causing Azul's sight to go back to normal.
"hmph. Spare me your sniveling." Azul spoke angerily. "Floyd, you're up" he spoke to the bipolar twin.
"You finally done? Can I squeeze him now?" Floyd asked, looking down at Azul. After all, Jade and Floyd are like giants.
"Be my guest. Wring him out with all your heart" Azul let out a sly smile.
"Can do~" Floyd smiled before walking towards the Octavinelle student, causing him to flinch. "W-wait! Give me just one more chance! I promise I'll- GYAAGH!" the student yelped in pain when Floyd squeeze the daylights outta him.
"Hmph. These deadbeats just love skimping on their payments, don't they?" Azul huffed in annoyance. "When you buy something, you pay for it. When you incur a debt, you pay it back. That's just common sense"
"I couldn't agree more, sir" Jade agreed, letting out a grin.
"I can only hope this year provides me with better clients than the last..." Azul mumbled.
"Heh heh. I look forward to seeing those final exam scores come in" Jade chuckled.
'I also can't wait to lure you into my grove...my precious angelfish. I can tell that we were made for each-other, I can't wait to make more lovely memories with you...' Azul thought.
