The group ran away as Deuce looked behind them. "Shoot! They're chasing us!"
"eh?!" Yuuna yelped in shock.
"Hey, couldja stop, friends? Just for a second? We just wanna chat!" Floyd shouts towards the group, running next to Jade.
"As if we'd wait for you to catch up!" Y/n spoke, running ahead of everyone, having a plan. "Decidedly, no! Full retreat!" Riddle shouted.
"Y/m?! Why are you-" Yuuna spoke as everyone gasped at the sight of Y/n shapeshifting into a pure white majestic dragon with phoenix feathers and wings, her horns and tail were still the same, but instead of a normal dragon head, it was more phoenix-like, kinda like Estella's dragon form, grabbing the group in her claws. "Hold on, everyone!" Y/n spoke, her phoenix beak slightly opened. "Wha! A dragon-Phoenix?!" Cater exclaimed in shock as he saw the ground get smaller when he was being held in Y/n front claws, with Ace and Deuce hanging on for dear life on the wrist.
Riddle and Yuuna, with Grim in her arms, were in Y/n's other hand. Yuuna looked down to see Floyd and Jade looking toward them.
"Awww...they flew away" Floyd pouts. "Heh heh. I do so enjoy a brisk midday job. I never thought I see a dragon-phoenix hybrid in all of its glory." Jade spoke, looking up towards Y/n's form high in the sky, flying away with the group in her hands.
He let out a sigh. "Alas, we'll have to pick this up another time. Come. We need to prepare for the lounge for tonight"
"Bummer. But all right. Can't wait to tell Azul about his little crush's dragon-phoenix form!~" Floyd chuckled.
"ah, yes indeed" Jade chuckled as well, imagining Azul's reaction.
Y/n had decided to land in Main street, ignoring all the students who were looking at her in awe from their classroom windows. After all, they decided to do their little investigations during class time, since they can't waste any more time.
Y/n landed on her back legs with her pearly wings still stretched out, carefully lowering everyone towards the ground. After all, she shifted back to her human form.
As soon as Yuuna was on the ground, Grim jumped out of her arms, happy he was on the floor again, panting. "That was Terrifying! What is the deal with those guys?!" he shouts.
Everyone took a breather since flying without a broom was far different than being carried by a huge bird.
Y/n winced a bit, regretting using her left wing. "Jeez, that was a mistake, we should've run..." she mumbled curses, grabbing her left wing gently, and using magic to heal her wing faster with an icy breeze.
"I'm not the one to ask. Those two have baffled me since we were freshmen together" Riddle huffed in annoyance.
"Messing with them seems like a reeeeal bad idea" Cater added/
"If I were the culprit, I know I'D steer clear" Ace says, shivering at the thought of being chased again.

"Then it's off to the next name on my list! It's getting late, so let's make this the last one for today, 'kay?" Cater spoke, as everyone nodded. "The name is Jack Howl, a freshman from Savanaclaw Dorm." Cater continued.
"Classes are over, so he should be at his dorm," Deuce said.
"Oh, is it 5:00 already? Rule 346 says that I should head back to Heartslabyul and make sure that no one is breaking the rules in my absence" Riddle said, checking the time from his phone.
Grim crossed his arms, scoffing a bit. "Tch. I thought you'd rounded out some, but nope, you're as square as ever" he grumbled.
Riddle looked down at Grim, "Th-that's not true! I assure you that I've become much more lenient about enforcing the rules" he spoke, narrowing his eyes in response.
Cater nodded and smiled. "He really has. He's way nicer than before. And we all appreciate that Riddle diligence. So go do what you gotta do, Boss!" Cater spoke, agreeing with Riddle.
Y/n smiled, crossing his arms. "I can agree with Cater. He has been doing a good job"
Riddle blushed and smiled.
"Then I guess the rest of us are heading to Savanaclaw House" Ace spoke, as everyone went to the Hall of Mirrors.
At the Hall of Mirrors, Riddle turned to Y/n, taking her hand and planting a kiss on the back. "This is where we part. See you later, my rose"
Y/n smiled. "Have a good evening, my strawberry" she spoke, ruffling Riddle's hair. They bid their goodbyes, turning away from each other, walking in different mirrors, with Riddle going to his dorm and the others going to Savanaclaw.
"Huh...so this is Savanaclaw" Deuce mumbled as the first years looked around in awe, admiring the place.
"Ugh...this place is too warm for my liking. Talk about extremely dry" Y/n mumbled, using her magic to create a snow cloud above her to keep her cool. She was not happy about the weather in the dorm.
"Whoa! Did they carve this place into a mountain? And check out these huge bones! I wouldn't wanna meet whatever animal they're from" Grim said.
"Couldn't be less like Heartslabyul. This place is the complete opposite of Amaryllis." Ace mentioned.
"No kidding. Even the air here feels so...primal. It's like we've left the bounds of civilization." Cater added.
"I already hate it here" Y/n huffed, making her snow cloud a bit bigger to cover her whole body.
Yuuna chuckled at her friend's behavior, as she couldn't help but take a picture of Y/n.
She posted on Magicam with the caption saying, '[nickname] is not happy being a dry environment
The posts got a lot of views, mostly from the girl's Seven soulmates.
"So what's this Jack guy look like?" asked Ace.
"Apparently he's got wolf ears, silver hair, and a big, bushy tail too" Cater describe. "My fluff is better" Y/n mumbled.

"Hmm, now that I think about it. Was he the wolf we saw on our first day?" Yuuna asked.
"Indeed, little Yuu-chan" Cater said, pinching both her cheeks, causing her to let out a squeak in surprise.
"A big, bushy tail..." Grim stopped to look around the outside, noticing a student that matches the description Cater gave them. "You mean like that guy runnin' laps over there?" Grim pointed out.
"Whoa, good eye! There's no way that's not our boy" Cater said.
Ace grumbled. "And I thought those twins were big! This guy's HUGE"
"No wonder all the scouts are after him" Cater chuckled.
"He reminds me of the Imperial Frostbite knights" Y/n mumbled.
"With that build, he's an asset on any team" Deuce commented.
Yuuna looked to where Grim was pointing at. "He's kind of intimidating" Yuu stuttered a bit. She was nervous.
"Don't worry, hun! Cay-Cay's got your back. I won't let the big bad wolf bite you." he said, wrapping an arm around Yuuna.
Y/n had a visible anime vein on the side of her forehead as she separated Cater from Yuuna, whacking him with a Chancla. "Stop getting all touchy-touchy with the other female student. Since she is a member of MY dorm, it's my responsibility to make sure she is safe from your horny asses" Y/n said, poking Cater multiple times on the shoulder, like how Yushiro did to Tanjiro in Demon Slayer.
Cater groaned from the pain, chuckling nervously a bit. "Okay, okay, I get it"
"Hey, you! Mr. Scowls-a-lot 2.0!" a voice made everyone freeze. Jack turned to the source of the voice, seeing the raccoon walking towards him with the group not far behind.
"...huh?"
"Just wanted to let ya know somebody's probably gonna try and hurt you. But don't worry- Grim the Great will protect you!" Grim spoke with pride, causing Cater to just awkwardly laugh
"What? Look, don't bother me when I'm training" Jack scoffed, already having a bad first impression on Grim.
Ace let out a sigh, as Y/n whacked Grim with her chancla. "DON'T GO MAKING MOVES WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING!" the Levia-fae shouted, obviously irritated. It might be the weather.
Cater grabbed Grim. "THAT'S your approach, Grim? I can't even count all the ways on how terrible that was" he spoke, covering Grim's mouth as he whimpered in pain from the deadly chancla. "If you were on Magicam, I'd totally unsubscribe from your feed"
"Mmmmmmph!"
"Sooo sorry about that, Jack. Listen, king, could we have just a minute of your time?" Cater asked. Jack had a sour look on his face as he spoke, "What's all this about? You said you wanna protect me from something?"
"A lot of Spelldrive tournament hopefuls have been hurt in 'accidents' on campus lately" Deuce answered. "And we're trying o figure out who's behind it" Ace added.
"Or a possible victim" Y/n said, crossing her arms, not feeling any ounce of guilt from whacking two males.
"Go on..."
"To put it bluntly, our plan is to stake out some of the criminal's prospective targets. What do you say? Will you give us a hand in catching this guy?" Cater asked.
Jack was silent for a bit, until he spoke, "No. I can take care of myself. I don't need your protection" he said, crossing his arms.
"B-but, being alone right now...could be dangerous," Yuuna said, trying to reason with the wolf.
"Yeah. If something happened, you might want backup" Y/n added.
"...I told you, I don't need your help. And besides, I doubt I'm gonna be a target. Seeya." Jack turned away and walked away from the group.
"Aaaaaand he's gone" Cater let out a sigh. Yuuna and Y/n stared at the retreating figure, eye's slightly glowing. Yuu moved closed to Y/n and whispered, "You see that too, right? It's not just me, right?" she asked.
Y/n nodded. "Indeed. Due to the shape and color of his aura, he must know something" she whispered back to Yuu, only for her to hear.
"Well, can't say I didn't warn him." Grim huffed, jumping into Yuuna's arms who quickly caught him. "Yeah well, you might want to reconsider your approach there, bud" Ace said.
Grim grumbled, clearly annoyed. "Hrmph! You humans are so finicky about every little thing!" he shouts.
"Hey, what are you lot doing here?" everyone flinched at the sound of a new voice.
'shit-'
"You're a long way from Heartslabyul House" another voice sneered.
"Heh heh. Probaly lackeys sent by Mr. Red Baby!" the third voice laughed.
"B-baby?!" Y/n's demeanor darken. Oh he did not just insult her soon-to-be husband number 2.
"Y-Y/n..." Yuuna grabbed a hold of Y/n arm, having fear in her eyes.
"You think you can just barge onto our turf and walk away without payin' the price?" Savanaclaw student A who got their attention asked.
"Wow, anyone else having deja vu....?" Deuce asked. "yep. I'm feeling it too" Y/n deadpanned.
"Fine, we're leaving. Sorry to bother you" Ace said, gesturing for the group to turn away. But before they could, Savanaclaw student B called out to them.
"Aww, don't be like that. Play with us first!"
"Let's play Predator and Prey! Guess who gets to be the prey?"
Yuuna's flinched, a chill running down her spine. "Tch. Idiotic mortals" Y/n mumbled, as Ace and Deuce stood in front of Yuuna, getting into position to defend Yuu, along with Cater in front, ready to fight. While Y/n stood next to Cater, having her wings in front of the group to protect them, getting ready to shield her friends, growling at the Savanaclaw students.
"Cut it out, you three" a voice said, putting a stop to the Savanaclaw students. It was the Housewarden, Leona Kingscholar.

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
