"You? Have friends?" Mitsuki laughed, holding her stomach as if Katsuki had told the funniest joke in the world.
Only thing was all he told her was, he enjoyed how much his squad made him feel. A bit on the sappy side but he couldn't help it. He's been so much happier with them. And she found it funny.. not the sappy part but the part that he said he had friends.
Was it so hard to believe he had friends? Was he so unloved by his mother that she couldn't believe that someone could actually enjoy her own son's company? Was he really that bad? Is that why it took him so long to get some decent friends? Ones who care? Or do they pity him?
Katsuki held back his tears, nodding his head to his mom's laughter.
Katsuki's father, obviously annoyed by his mother's comment, just looked away, sulking in the corner knowing if he said something things would only get worse.
Katsuki wiped his tears and his mother laughed. "You kids these days are so soft. No wonder you got kidnapped," Mitsuki groaned as she watched her son wipe tears from his eyes. "Pathetic." She scoffed and walked off.
Katsuki stood there, trying to wipe every tear that formed.
"You're not pathetic." Masaru said softly as he walked to his son.
Katsuki smiled and hugged his father, tears still falling. "Thanks Dad." Katsuki mumbled and began to sob into his father's shirt.
Masaru smiled sadly and accepted the fact his shirt would be soaked. "I love you... you are more than what she says." Masaru said softly, whispering to his sobbing son and he hugged him tightly.
"I love you too..." Katsuki spoke in between broken sobs.
Masaru let his own tears fall from his eyes, "Come on... let's grab you some dinner... and maybe a treat for my brave boy? Then we can get you back to school. I would love to meet your friends."

Katsuki smiled, his crimson eyes shunned with tears and a giggle broke through his sobs. "Spicy food and ice cream and you have yourself a dear old man." Katsuki said softly and he held onto his father tighter.
Masaru smiled and ruffled his son's hair, "Always."
"Thanks Pops." Katsuki said softly as he hid his face into his father's shirt.
"Anything for you Katsuki." Masaru smiled and hugged his son one more time before getting ready to take his son away from that terrible place they call home.
Anything.

Katsuki had cheered up slightly during the car ride. With his choice of music and the freedom to speak whether he wanted always cheered Katsuki up. Mitsuki had a hold on him... had a hold on both of them... it wasn't always nice in car rides or the house.
Next was spicy food, which could always cheer up Katsuki... but he still seemed off from what his mother had said. Normally something spicy gets him hyper and happy.. but it was understandable Mitsuki hadn't been the nicest lately. If only Masaru could do something instead of also being screamed at, if only he wasn't so scared.
After the spicy food, Katsuki got his favorite treat! Basic but a favorite; icecream. Yet even though he had a smile on his face, his bright eyes were dull. You could tell that he was still bothered by what his mother had said... something still causing him to no longer see the joy in ice cream at the moment.
Masaru sighed softly with his usual nervous but sweet smile. Katsuki returned it as he ate his ice cream... that smile was Masaru's favorite... but it looked so much better when he actually was happy. When his son had something good to look forward to then his shitty house with both of his shitty parents.
It is sad when your kids look forward to going to school more than home. And Masaru knew that.

The drive to school was nice. It was always nice when it was just them two... Katsuki still was happy to share stories, his eyes sparkling anytime he mentioned his friends. Masaru knew Katsuki would rather be with his friends than him and he was okay with that. Anything for his little hero to be happy.
Seeing Katsuki's eyes shine when he saw the school come into view will be one of Masaru's saddest yet happiest memories.
"Alright little hero. Here we are! Now do you want me to just drop you off? Or do you want me to walk you to your dorm and show me your friends?" Masaru said sweetly, knowing it could be embarrassing to have your parents around at the school.
"Come to my dorm! I want you to meet them!" Katsuki said excitedly as he stepped out of the vehicle.
Masaru smiled and nodded, making his way out of the vehicle as well.
Katsuki excitedly dragged Masaru to the dorms, Masaru holding onto the few items Katsuki brought home with him nervously. Scared to drop them during the exciting adventure they were undergoing.
Soon they stopped at Katsuki's dorm door, Katsuki couldn't stop shaking from excitement.
"Okay Papa! They are in my dorm so don't be surprised when you see them!" Katsuki said with a smile, the brightest one Masaru's seen in ages.
Masaru looked confused as to why they would all be in Katsuki's dorm while he was gone but Masaru didn't question it. Masaru knew how lonely it could get, he understood.
"I'm back guys!" Katsuki said happily as he opened the door to reveal a group of even happier students.
Multiple nicknames fell through each of their mouths and they tackled Katsuki into a group hug.
"Guys! I wanted you to meet my dad, not try to kill me!" Katsuki whined through his laughter as he accepted each hug.
Masaru smiled sheepishly, enjoying seeing his son thrive.
"Hi Mr. Bakugou!"
"Whaddup Big B!"
"Hello the maker of Katsubabe!"
"Nice to meet ya, sir!"
Masaru was overwhelmed by the large amounts of joy that came from each friend of Katsuki's. They were so bright and happy... and they made Katsuki so bright and happy.
"H-hello?" Said sheepishly, his kind smile on his usual nervous face.
"Old man, this is Kami," Katsuki said, pointing to a bouncing yellow haired boy. "And this is Mina," he said, pointing to a happy pink haired girl. "Kiri," Katsuki said and he looked at a smiling redhead with sharp teeth. "And lastly this is Sero!" Katsuki said happily looking at the very tall sero.
"Nice to meet all of you! But you can just call me Masaru instead of the formal stuff." Masaru said softly, tilting his head to the left slightly.
The group nodded and got straight into a conversation. Talking about their adventures, telling Masaru their classes and stories. Katsuki and his friends told Masaru more stories in the few hours he stayed there than his whole life being with his little hero.
Soon Katsuki was tired, the crying and excitement must have knocked him out. He was asleep along with Mina on the bed.
Masaru was about ready to leave when decided to speak up.
"Thank you for being there for Katsuki. I really appreciate it." Masaru mumbled softly, an appreciative smile sent to the group of friends.
Sero smiled, "It's not a problem!"
"Yeah! He is the best!" Kirishima said, agreeing with Sero.
Kaminari giggled, "He's like our little hero!"
Masaru smiled and said his goodbyes.
"He's my little hero too..." Masaru said softly as he made his way back to the car... on his own adventure alone back home.
