Izuku had waited his whole life for this moment...
To see the results...
To be the number one....
To show everyone who has ever doubted him that he could do it..
To be a hero...
Hero's were strong.. they didn't give up...
That would make you weak.. and not a hero.. Izuku stayed in his path..
Izuku believed he was strong for standing up to his past... for not being held back.. for not giving up...
Going against his torment and dark thoughts..
He was a hero.
What's a hero you ask?
Well I'm Izuku's eyes he was a perfect example... never giving up... to be kind... to grow...
Yet he was beautiful... a very beautiful lie..
One that many villains can understand...
Yet Izuku worried not... for he was a hero with no flaw... and did no wrong to any who crossed his path.. helped the wounded...
The physically wounded...
No hero noticed pain that wasn't true.
The fallen hero who lived the story of the broken and ugly truth.. was forgotten as the count down tickled slowly...
Izuku watched in fear... though he wouldn't tell he was nervous by no means is any hero ever frightened.
The list goes on slowly... each second passing.. name after name.. status after status...
For he was a hero...
No hero has fallen... heroes do not fall into villain standards do they?
Second by second.. faster and faster...
Click...
Click....
Click...
The station slowed.. and as if to show the top five...
Not him...
Not him...

Not him...
. . .
Number two holding the spot of a person who's name he's forgotten... small memories he chooses to leave... and his hero life has no more room for anyone who has doubted the hero world.
And then the result... was his hard work to pay off?
Was he to prove to all those people who had doubted him that he was truly the best person.
The tears in his eyes as he saw name...
His picture looks much better than anything he's ever seen...
He held up a hand...
He thanked All Might who's passed now..
He was number one..
He was a true hero...
Who'll never fall or fail as he has the upper hand...
Life wasn't handed out to him.. he fought for it...
And he keeps doing so.. as.. that's what true hero's do.. innit?
.
.
.
Izuku smiled as he spent his time looking through all kinds of messages from his friends....
It's only been an hour. It's like each minute passed he revived a new nice message.
That until he received one from a name he thought he had forgotten...
It stood out from the rest...
It was sent half an hour ago.. how could he not see?
It was an unpleasant message...
With anger he texted back... nasty words and insults he would have never said years ago...
He sent it with a smirk...
He was the number one hero...
He proved to the wrong in this world that he truly was extraordinary.
.
.
.
To awaken with a more kind message he couldn't help but want to check from the hateful messages from the night before... regret almost.. filled Izuku with slight guilt as he reread them.. but standing his ground with what he sent.
As he was a hero... and regret was for villian who did something wrong.. and he has done no such..

His bold words and bravery may have kept the blonde quiet..
As a true hero does... right?
Block out the force that holds you back...? Shut out the evil.. correct?
To be the hero that everyone needs.
.
.
.
Days went by and still didn't receive a message from the forgotten...
Izuku didn't notice the lack of messages...
Izuku sat down to watch the news.. enjoying his break from the chaotic life he had since he began his journey as number one.
He looked at the caption and saw that a pro hero had died... Izuku knew it wasn't any of his friends.. they had all texted him... so who was it?
. . .
Izuku looked shocked to see Pro hero Dynamite.. found dead underneath a local bridge where the blonde lived.
Izuku was at a loss of words...
"It would have seen... Pro hero Dynamite.. known by friends Bakugou Katsuki was found dead underneath Eshima Ohashi Grand Bridge.. the death a tragic as he took his own life days ago. We would like to support the family and friends of this fallen hero by a memorial for the strong male."
Izuku stopped listening... he thought nasty words he sent.. the last words he had gotten from the blonde...
At first Izuku was bitter.. he believed the blonde killed himself because he wasn't the number one hero...
He learned that he was far from correct with that statement..
As he was given a journal with tons and tons of writing and notes.. drawing and stickers from blonde that dated back to years ago and to now.
It was told that Katsuki wanted to give him this before he passed.
Reading was a pain like no other...
To know everything he had ever known to be incorrect...
He confessed.. he told... he knew... he saw.
Katsuki did his best to explain to Izuku why and what had happened while they grew up.
.
.
.
Izuku stood at the speaking post of the dead man's memorial.
"To the fallen hero.. the one who was unnoticed when it came to pain.. the one I'll forever love... Bakugou Katsuki... he was hurt by adults that were supposed to be trusted and unnoticed by friends that were supposed to stay by his side... I am not here to make those people who have wronged him feel bad though.. if I were.. I would be guilty just like most.. I am here to let people remember this remarkable individual... I am here for people to realize that not everyone is as they seem.. I am here because people know that confidence and smiles aren't happiness... I am no longer the number one hero.. for now that permanent number one hero shall always be pro hero Dynamite... for he is the reason while I am who I am.. and I am... I am the reason he is where he is... I am here for him to be remembered... for the justice for him and other kids mistreated by parents and peers... for now I am second... cause a true hero is now to be remembered.. to finish.. and then we can light the candles.. for the hero who has fallen.. for a loved one lost by suicide... for a child whose been hurt by adults and parents... remember his name... Bakugou Katsuki.. the love I lost.. due to a story I couldn't read til the best hero to live had fallen."
After Izuku spoke he lit his candle... everyone else doing the same.. flowers and pictures.. gifts and tears...
To the hero whose fallen.. may he finally be at peace.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
