Masaru was Katsuki's father. Katsuki was very close with his father. Even before his mother left he always stayed with his father.
Masaru was kind, had a gentle loving heart and never raised his voice. Masaru didn't quite like loud sounds, like yelling. Unless it was his son of course. He enjoyed hearing his son's excitement and yelling. It was a sign that Katsuki was happy.. and Masaru enjoyed seeing his son happy. He deserved to be happy.
That's why the Bakusquad loved Masaru as well! Masaru was the group's favorite parent. He brought them snacks, drinks, brought them movies and tons of other shit. With or without them asking.
Damn, Masaru even gave them an allowance.
They wanted to know why Katsuki's dad was so kind and so giving.

.
"Hey Bakubabe!" Mina yelled as she and the rest of the squad made their way into Katsuki's dorm unannounced.
Katsuki looked up, rather annoyed by the intrusion. He sighed, "Hm? What do you want. I'm trying to study." Katsuki had been reading the same one for the past thirty minutes. But quite understanding even if he had read the page more than five times.
Kaminari laughed, "No need to get snappy with us. We mean no harm."
Katsuki rolled his eyes, "Like I was worried."
Katsuki pushed away from his desk and looked at his group, an eyebrow raised as he awaited their question.
"Well?" Katsuki asked and he pushed his reading glasses up slightly.
"Oh yeah!" Sero mumbled, rubbing his neck sheepishly. He almost forgot what they were doing there in the first place.
"We want to know why the hell your dad is so nice to us. The fuck we did? We have destroyed his house multiple times." Mina said as she tried to hold back her laughter, remembering the time they trashed the house.

"Yeah! Like I would hate us if I were him." Kirishima said sheepishly.
"Cause he's nice. He has always been nice. Duh." Katsuki muttered, why were they having this conversation? It was dumb.
"Yeah but it's very nice. Too nice. He literally destroyed his house and all he did was laugh."
"My whole childhood that man has never raised his voice. I could break a thousand dollar lamp and he wouldn't even be concerned. He just always was like that. Complete opposite of my mother. Maybe that's why he's like that." Katsuki explained as he looked back down at his homework.
"I feel like we are taking advantage of this man's kindness." Sero said and he made himself comfortable on Katsuki's bed.
Mina nodded, "Yeah! I agree!" Mina sighed as she jumped into the bed. She felt guilty.
"Aww.. I never thought about it like that." Kirishima said softly as he joined his friends on the bed.
Kaminari groaned and threw himself onto the bed, "Damn. Now I feel bad."
"You shouldn't. He is just very nice." Katsuki muttered, frustrated by the words in his paper.
"Well we do." Mina complained.
"If you shut up I'll bring you idiots over later to let y'all give him your stupid sob stories." Katsuki said as he forced himself to keep his eyes open.
"Deal. If you take a nap first cause somebody seems tired." Mina said as she noticed Katsuki struggle to keep his eyes open.
"Fuck you." Katsuki conolaied as he felt Sero pick him up and toss Katsuki into bed.
"Group nap!" Kaminari yelled happily.
A bunch of idiots.
.
.
.
"Old man? I'm here with the idiots!" Katsuki yelled as he walked into his home, friends following.

"Ah! 'Suki! How are you bubs?" Masaru said and he brought his son into a hug.
"Better after his nap! Your son has been skipping sleep." Kaminari said with a smirk.
"For studies!" Katsuki portested.
"Son.. you know you shouldn't skip out of sleep. Studying isn't as important as your health." Masaru said with his signature smile.
Katsuki looked down with a sheepish smile, "Yeah, yeah. Sorry old man."
Masaru ruffled his son's hair, "No need to apologize! Now I just made some cookies! Who wants some?"
The group of friends cheered as every teen ran towards the kitchens to get the sweet treats. Another good thing about Masaru. He baked the best sweets in the world.
Each teen now had a plate of cookies and their choice of milk.
"Hey? Mr. Bakugou?" Mina said as she stuffed cookies into her mouth.
"Hm?" Masaru hummed.
"Why are you so nice to us idiots." Kaminari spoke up as he shoved a cookie into his mouth.
Masaru gasped, "You guys aren't idiots! Each one of you is intelligent."
"See! Too nice!" Mina yelled, another cookie put in her mouth.
"A little kindness can go a long way.. share a smile.. and be there for everyone. That's what I like to do." Masaru said softly with his usual kind smile.
"I told you. He had always just been kind. No witchcraft shit." Katsuki muttered with a half hearted smile.
Masaru smiled and let the group of teens continue their hang out.
Masaru spoke truth to what he said earlier.. but he was also extra kind because he promised that Katsuki would never get hurt again after what Mitsuki had done. No one will go through what Katsuki did.
Masaru will make sure of that.
