Aizawa isn't afraid of anything.. he doesn't care for anything which
helps him not be afraid.
That was until one day.
One day that turned his heart of stone... and turned it to glass.
Aizawa worked as a UA teacher as well as a pro hero... not that he cared. He still was fairly new, he had been there for a while but not too long.
He would walk home, miserable... for he saw no reason..
While he was walking his same route he had found a very young child.. one who was severely injured.
The child seemed like they had been through a lot.. shaking by the touch...
Before anything Aizawa went to make sure the child was okay. Cleaning him up, and checking for further ouchies.
Turns out the child had been neglected and abused... he had ran once he saw his father be brutally murder by his mother.
Aizawa didn't care for anything.. but that day.. that child... he promised to be a good parent and try to fill the missing place of the parent role. He of course had delt with the abuser/murder.. he had to bring justice for the kid.
Aizawa has never cared for anything.. but when he saw the tears and blood that covered the small child's face... he finally noticed the world around him.
Crime was rising... parents were not being the supportive people that were supposed to be... and the negativity in the world has expanded.
Aizawa gave the child a home that he didn't have to be scared of.
They had both taught each other...
Aizawa learned to feel again...
The child learned that he could be safe...
That Aizawa could keep him safe.
Well.. at least one of the teachings is true at least...
.
.
.
Aizawa raised the child fairly, taught him things.. was kind.. they were a small family.
A father and son.
They had family photos, they celebrated birthdays and holidays.
It was their family and nothing could ruin it...
Aizawa was a happy teacher who helped out his students.. he no longer frowned.. or seemed tired...

The child was happy, he no longer thought about what had happened unless it was the nightmares that kept him awake.. he loved his new father.. and was glad it was Aizawa who found him.
The child didn't think about his old parents... well he did mourn his biological father but he tried not to think about it.. his Mother still scared him.. she was alive and well... in the prison walls. She would send him letters.. not that he read them.. he was too scared.. Aizawa didn't make him read them.. Aizawa didn't force him to do anything he was uncomfortable with.
He was safe.
...Finally...
.
.
.
Aizawa sat at his desk... he smiled and he watched his students enjoy themselves while they worked.
He looked around at his desk.. it had a small picture of his son and him.. he smiled. He fixed the frame slightly before setting it back down.
He waved off the students when it was time to go.. they all wished him a good day.. he had done the same..
Aizawa was getting ready to grab his stuff to go pick up his son from school.
But before he could walk out the door he had gotten a call.
He looked at the unfamiliar number and answered it reluctantly.
"Excuse me? Is this Mr. Aizawa? Are you the father of /-|з/-\///- |
"Indeed I am."
"I'm sorry to tell you this.. but your son.. he has passed."
. . .
The phone had fallen from Aizawa's hand.. he fell to his knees and cried..
He should have ran.. he should have been there for his son even if he had already taken his last breath... but he couldn't help but cry.
He had lost his son, his world.. the boy he had promised to protect so many years ago.
. . .
That day and that day forward... his glass heart had shattered... he had given up... he no longer smiled.. he didn't let his guard down... he no longer trusted or cared.. he continued his miserable life as a teacher.. hoping life would take him away soon.
. . .
Soon a couple of years had passed, his desk now had more Photos of his son.. but nobody dared to ask him about it.. nobody asked what caused his sudden shift in mood.

His new group of students would be the age of his son... if he was alive of course... if Aizawa was there to make sure he was safe...
This would be his son's class.. his classmates... the boy had so much life left in him... so much potential.. he deserved a good life.. and it was taken away from him.
He sighed as the students yelled and laughed, one student complaining they were disrespectful to the building, one crying, one being kicked in the balls..
If his son was still here, this class definitely would act better... His son couldn't handle loud noises or people who told him what to do... his ears were sensitive and he always had a good reason for what he was doing...
Aizawa sighed and rubbed his face gently... it may have been a couple years but he couldn't get over it.. that was his son...
A certain shark tooth student had noticed their gloomy teacher was stemmed even more sad than usual.
"Hey, teach? Are you okay? You seem down." As the shark tooth male, Kiri, they called him.
"He always is down." Said the grape looking boy, the one who was kicked in the balls.
"Shut up grape boy! Nobody asked you!" Yelled a pink haired student, she was called Mina.
"Yeah dude! You seem sadder than usual! Are you okay?" Said another, Sero was who he was called.
Aizawa ignored them.
"Who is that kid in the picture?" Asked a kid with a lightning bolt in his hair, they called him Kami.
"Dude!" Yelled Kirishima.
"What?! I always wanted to ask.. but I was too scared.." Kaminari yelled sheepishly.
Aizawa took his face from his hands.. he grabbed one of the many photos and held it tightly.
Nobody ever asked him who it was...
"It's none of our business bro." Sero muttered softly to his friend.
Aizawa would have agreed but.. that day was the day his child was taken away from him... and he didn't want to be a cruel man on the day something cruel happened.
Aizawa sighed softly, "He is my son."
Everyone was shocked by this response.
"Your son? He sure is adorable! How old is he?" Mina said, excited that their teacher seemed interested in talking to them for once.
"He would have been 16 this year. Though he is about 7 in that photo." Aizawa explained.
"He would have... oh wait.. shit." Kirishima mumbled, realizing what he meant.
"Huh? What does that mean-? Ack! What was that for!" Kaminari went to ask but was hit in the back of the head by Mina.
Mina rolled her eyes, "Shh! Idiot!"
Aizawa let a small laugh slip through his thin pale lips.. the fist laugh he had done since his son had passed.
"No need to hit him.. it is okay.. he doesn't understand... My son passed away a few years ago.. Uh 5 years to this day actually.." Aizawa explained to his students softly, as he held a picture of his son closely.
"I'm sorry I brought it up..." Kaminari mumbled with a guilty look on his face.
"No-no.. it's okay.. it was nice to talk about him again... I'm sorry for being such a grump. Hasn't been the same since.. ya know.." Aizawa apologized, he felt bad for how he had been acting.. but he just missed his son so much.
Suddenly multiple arms were around him in a group hug.
"It's okay Mr. Aizawa! We are sure he misses you too... we will try not to be in pain for ya.." a bunch of them mumbled.
Aizawa thought he would be mad at the questions.. but now he had a bunch of children to take care of..
He was a teacher... he had a responsibility...
He wasn't going to make the same mistake..
They were just kids after all.
Though he had not forgotten about Katsuki...
Katsuki will always be his number one...
To always be missed.. but never forgotten.

Exponential Mana Regeneration
When the Change occurred, humanity suddenly found itself with superhuman constitutions and the ability to use mana. All the government leaders had known about it beforehand and had made an announcement, so there was little strife and instead excitement to loot the dungeons that the Change had created. Kyle Anders was incredibly excited when he saw his starting skill, called Exponential Mana Regeneration, but his excitement quickly waned when he realized it was almost useless with his starting mana pool of twenty. He had nearly given up hope on being a mage when his family got him a new skill for his 18th birthday. Suddenly, with his mana pool expanded because of the skill, Kyle’s mana regeneration shot through the roof. But while humanity worked hard to loot dungeons and increase their skills and stats, Change was coming, and peace cannot last forever. The story is currently on haitus. (This story is a work in progress. As the first story that I have ever written, the beginning, especially the first ten chapters or so, needs heavy editing. I have decided to continue writing the story instead of going back and editing the beginning. I hope that despite all its flaws you will still find my story enjoyable.)
