The memories flashed back as if it was punishment...
For what you might ask?
Well that could be told in many ways... in a different perspective each time.
He smiled, he was reminded by the vulgar words his classmates scream that he was alone.
He pictured a particular memory of him and his squad roaming the park... drinking hot chocolate and talking about the "cold" weather. Katsuki was sensitive to the cold and was often made fun of by his squad but that always provided him warmth... they then happily walked back to their dorms.. laughter filled teens as they walked. To when they stumbled into Katsuki's dorm.. not staying long after a horror movie was played... one about ghosts in particular causing Katsuki to be terrified. He believed the room was haunted and demanded to be saved, his squad to the rescue as the Kaminari and Kirishima grabbed the snacks while Mina grabbed the blankets and Serk saved Katsuki... all running and laughing to the mighty Sero's dorm. To where he was told by his squad ghost stories all because they wanted to cuddle.
They got what they wanted as a terrified Katsuki cuddled and hugged as many as he could.. to be protected from the scary world around him.
They could have just asked instead of scaring him but the memory was one of his favorites.. even if he needed to be saved from nightmares days after.
They were always there for him...
Was it selfish to want to be held by the same comforting arms that had blood on them?
They had saved him from his demise...
His break point.
Was it selfish to feel safe in villians arms while feeling scared of who is supposed to be a hero?

Katsuki felt as if he was in danger with the supposed villians now no longer with him.
The memories flowed in his head every time he closed his eyes...
No longer able to sleep in his cold dorm, which may or may not be haunted.. he may never know after the loss of his squad now weakens him.
He sighed and grabbed Kirishima's favorite blanket he always shared with the group, an old hoodie of Mina's as Kaminari's Lightning bolt stuffed toy...
As he slid into the hoodie with ease and wrapped the blanket he held tightly onto the toy and began to walk to the dorm that always was the kingdom that saved him from his haunted dorm.
Mighty Sero's room.
The only place he feels safe.. but saddened as it is empty now.
No more smiles and laughter.
No comfort.
He was alone.
With tears falling his eyes he laid down in the bed he used to feel loved in. Where cuddles were free and comfort was always welcomed.
He cried himself to sleep...
He knew he wasn't supposed to be in the dorm... but he craved comfort.. even if it wasn't the same... It was good enough for the broken boy.
.
.
.
"Aww look at him!"
"Do you think he'll forgive us?"
"He seems pretty distraught after recent events."
"Spell distraught."
"Fuck off."
"Well good thing we are gonna make it up to him!"
"Yup!"
"If he'll forgive us."
"No need to be a negative bitch."
"Why are you guys arguing! He's sad! So shut up!"
"There definitely was a better way to go at this."
.
.
.
Katsuki woke up, his eyes hurt from falling asleep while crying..
He wiped them gently, realizing that he was no longer in the bed he fell asleep in.. but still felt as if was close to the ones who he had missed.

Probably would have to do with the objects he had on him... right?
Katsuki couldn't care less where he was.. he just wanted to know why the hell he couldn't notice that he was being moved.
After the first kidnapping you would think he would be more alert... but no.
He had become so numb he could barely even notice anything.
His eyes soon widened, just.. where was he?
He wasn't tied down... so maybe he wasn't in any type of trouble?
Katsuki sat up, holding his stuff close...
He heard loud voices, they felt familiar... but he didn't know.
Then walked in and Katsuki felt his heart stop.
The voices stopped and they just stared at each other.
Katsuki felt his eyes swell...
"Hey Katsubabe..." Mina mumbled softly, her smile so comforting almost made Katsuki forget the rage he felt.
"We missed ya, buddy." Kaminari said softly, his smile also tempting.
"You left me... you left me all alone." Katsuki muttered softly.
"We know and we're sorry.." Kirishima spoke.
"You left me! All alone! You left me?! Villians! You helped me get past my kidnapping and get past my family issues and then you add into this bullshit I call life?! How dare you pretend to be my friend?! How dare you make me happy to leave?! How fuckin dare you! I hate you! I hate all of you!" Katsuki cried and he held himself and his items close to him... he throat raw from yelling.
Sero, who happened to not say anything yet made the first step.
He brought Katsuki Into his arms, "We are sorry bubs... what we did was wrong and we should have told you before all of this shit happened. We were so wrong for what we did and trust me... we are sorry... we are stupid and hope you can forgive us. We do care for you.. more than anything... we promised to protect you for the first day we met you.. and did we screw up? Yes... but mistakes happen and hopefully we can grow from them. Please forgive us.. and hopefully you'll stay with us? Go back to how things were before except now not heroes in training.. you can even get revenge on the other dudes. Not that we haven't already got on their cases." Sero's speech always seemed to calm Katsuki.
Sero always seemed to have the right words for when it came to calming Katsuki down.
Soon the rest of his squad came hugging Katsuki as well.
Katsuki just cried... and continued to cry.. he just cried and held them close.. he just kept babbling about how he missed them and never wants to be apart from them again.
His group just smiled, it was nice having their ash blonde friends back in their arms once again.
. . .
"Don't worry Katsu' we will never leave you again."

As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. Want this story in smaller bites? Click here! The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. Core Defect
In the 264 years since the Great Singularity Wars, the world has been irrevocably changed. Technologies like nanobots and rogue artificial intelligences have caused the planet's wildlife to evolve in dangerous and powerful ways, pushing humanity to the verge of extinction. However, the remaining survivors are not without ways to fight back. Nanotech can enhance humans just as well as beasts, but perhaps most surprisingly, humanity has found an unexpected ally: a group of human-neutral AIs called Daemons. Val is a 22-year old woman striving to become a User: a nano-empowered human paired with a Daemon that serves as society's final and most powerful line of defense. When a critical issue in her nanosystem's core seemingly leaves her unable to serve as a User, she's given a difficult choice: give up on her dreams or accept a potentially unstable AI, Noir, as her Daemon partner. Val and Noir are stronger together than they are apart, but can they survive long enough to unlock their potential? Can they find a place among the other pairings like them, shunned by society but essential to civilization's survival? If Users are humanity's last line of defense, welcome to the sacrificial first line: the Defects. Updates are currently once a week, aiming for the weekend. Chapters usually 2k-3k in length.
