They Bakusquad were just chilling in Katsuki's dorm... not really doing anything.. just laying around. Mina was bored and feeling excited.. So.. why not mess with Katsuki then?
"What is love? How do you define love Bakubabe?" Mina asked randomly.
"I don't believe in love." Katsuki answered back simply...
Mina looked surprised, "You don't? Why don't you?"
Katsuki sighed, "Not really... but I guess I do wonder what if I had? I guess I just find it hard to understand how it happens..."
"Can you try to define it?" Mina asked.
Katsuki looked down, "I can try.."
This got the whole squad's attention.. They all wanted to listen to Katsuki's wise words.
"Well.. love is difficult for me to understand.. and I guess I could tell you why... my parents weren't the best.. They didn't tell or show me what love was.. well my father did his best but he was emotionally exhausted.. dealing with my mother wasn't easy. So love wasn't easy either... Deku showed me love when we were younger. I guess that's why I was so mean... I didn't understand his kindness and he reminded me of my father and I didn't want him to be hurt and taken advantage of like my father. Sorry... I was getting off of topic.. but trust me.. I believe this plays an important part in the story. Every good story has a backstory... stories explaining stories. Anyway... my interpretation of love is a good feeling... a feeling where everyone may experience but not understand.. love is a journey that isn't easy but sometimes that rough patch can turn to something beautiful... love may not always work out... hence mother and father. Love can bend and be manipulated... yet can't completely be destroyed. Love... is special to each person... It feels different to me than it does to you... love is different with family and friends then to love another... like a spouse of some sort.. this is a special kind of love, that most people can't understand... most people destroy this type of love., most people shit on it and treat it like it's a toy... those people make me sick.,, those people like my mother deserve to burn hell... playing with love isn't a good thing... having it is... until it breaks and then someone doesn't want to be in love anymore... you lose that feeling of being whole... and then you're broken... it is dreadful indeed.. but don't worry. If you ever experience pain with a loved one... just know I'll always be there to help you out..."

Katsuki's words brought the squad to tears.. yet they refused to let them fall.. how could someone so act rough and angry and be so gentle and kind?
"If you don't enjoy the concept of love... how do you seem to understand so well?" Sero asked.
"I don't understand why. Though I do understand what it means..." Katsuki explained.
Kirishima spoke up, "Hey Bakubro?"
Katsuki looked up, "What shit hair?"
"What do you want to help us with if we have an issue with love if you hate the idea of love?"
"I never said hate for one... and for two.. is because you guys are my friends.. and I'll do anything for my friends. I enjoy listening to people's problems.. I like hearing the questions they don't understand... I like it because I know what it used to feel like not knowing what this feeling was... being scared of the unknown and I want people with the same issues as me."
This let fall from the Squads eyes... causing the group to all cuddle Katsuki into a big group hug.
"Eh? What the fuck man?!" Katsuki helped as he was tackled down with hugs by his friends.
"Bakubro... you are so manly bro.." Kirishima mumbled into the hug.
The Bakusquad nodded as they agreed with the head haired wannabe shark.
Katsuki rolled his eyes playfully, "And y'all are going to replace heros one day. Pathetic."
The squad laughed... enjoying the cuddle session.
"I'm stuck between all of you, fuckin idiots." Katsuki complied and his friends held him down.
"You aren't leaving this cuddle session." Kaminari explained as he held tighter.
Katsuki rolled his eyes once more... maybe it wasn't so bad to stay between friends.. it felt nice... but he wouldn't say that to their faces.

SWTOR: The Alpha Legacy - Alexandra 'Under the Black'
This was the first character backstory and first full story in The Old Republic era after 'Project Alpha: A Summary: 'Old Republic to Current Operational Era'. This one was actually written much later. Several of the full stories were done and there was a need to introduce the Mother of several of the main characters. Much later on I started a timeline and this seemed to fit nowhere else, but right after the introduction story: Alexandra De'nabre lost everything on one of the moons of Felucia. But life found her again. As a Mirialan Jedi, she was sworn to the Unity and to the Force; casting both away once she believed both left her. The Force finds her again. And brings her back a part of her life she believed she lost. Her children. But in a cruel twist of fate, the very Republic she once defended is suddenly out to get her. Not because in her new life as an infamous pirate she committed crimes against them. The children she lost are now wards of the Republic and a special project called: Alpha. And they will stop at nothing to keep Alexandra from reclaiming them.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.

I am publishing these entries one at a time, without changing a single word except for the names of the people involved. My limited commentary, which is confined to brackets in each entry, is meant to provide the relief of my current perspective, fifteen years later.
