We were at Bobby's while he mourned Rufus. "Say something." I whispered to my brothers. "No. One of you." Dean said. "No. One of you." Sam whispered. We played Rock Paper Scissors and Sam lost. "You three just gonna stand there like the ugly girl at the prom, or you gonna pitch in? This so-called Eve, mother of whatever, ain't gonna gank herself. What's wrong with you three?" Bobby said. "Bobby, you haven't slept in days." Dean said. "I sleep. What are you, my wife now?" Bobby said. "No, but I know who will be mad." Ricky said jogging downstairs. "I'm just saying that, you know, taking five might be a good thing." Sam said. "For whom?" Bobby asked. "Look, Bobby, it was – it was tough for all of us, seeing Rufus go like that." I said to him. "You think this—? This ain't about Rufus." Bobby said. "Bobby, he wasn't just a poker buddy." Ma said. "You know when I knew Rufus was done for? The day I met him. The only question was, who first – him or me? Now, you want to stand there and therapise, or you want to get me some coffee? Make it Irish." Bobby said. "Sure thing I got nothing else better to do." Ricky said. I followed my friend. "Well, he's doing fantastic." I said to Ricky. "Yeah, this isn't about Rufus at all." Ricky said. "Well, what do you want to do? I mean, we can't just sit here and watch him poop out his liver." I said. "Well, we could get him out of the house. There's a job." Dean said. "Really? What've you got?" I asked my brother. Sam pulled a newspaper clipping out of his jacket pocket. "Look. Chester, Pennsylvania. Three people got kicked off in the last week, all freaky. Last guy got karate-chopped by his garage door. And these are all blood relatives." Sam said. "What are you thinking, family curse?" I asked. "Could be." Sam said. "Hey, grumpy – You, uh...?" Dean trailed off. "I don't want to do crap. Leave me alone. Just, get out of my house, three of you. You're driving me nuts." Bobby said. "Bobby." I said. "Now! For the love of Pete." Bobby said. We walked out and got in Ricky's 2002 Mustang he got for finishing high school.
