《Rowan: Queen of Chav's》Unexpected phone call (Fourty-four)

It was 2 O'clock in the morning, and I was staring at my bedroom ceiling, sleep failing to come to me that night, (because when is it not failing to come to me?) when my phone rang, so I just answered it without looking at who it was, 'cause I very rarely looked at who was actually calling me, yes that is quite irresponsible but I'm not gonna lie to make myself seem better.

"Hello?"

"Ro?"

"Yeah it's me Bee"

"Oh thank God!"

"What the hell happened?"

"My Mum kicked me out, (sobs), because, (sobs), because she found, (sobs), out that I, I, I'm gay"

"Shit, ok where are you now?"

"I'm at Bushy park-"

"By yourself?"

"Yeah"

"Don't move, I'm coming to get you-"

"What about your Dads?"

"I'll explain it to them in the morning, they'll understand ok, I'll see you soon, alright?"

"Ok"

I hung up the phone, grabbed my uggs, my Oyster card (because you know, we need it to travel anywhere in London) and my hoodie (as it wasn't like it was warm at this time of the year, especially at night).

I then walked out my bedroom door and Dad was there with his cup of coffee, which wasn't unusual but it meant that he definitely noticed that it seemed like I was going out.

"Rowan where the hell do you think you're going out to at this fucking ungodly hour for?"

"Bianca called me saying she got kicked out because her Mum found out she's gay, so I offered her my bed-"

"Where is she now?"

"She's in Bushy park"

Dad looked kind of frightened by where I said Bianca was, since there wasn't that much around Bushy park, so safety wise it wasn't the best, and you know that parents worry about those kind of things, especially if a child of theirs has done something similar but in the rain.

"Right let me grab my shoes Kiddo, because you're not going out of the flat at this time of the night on your own-"

"Dad I'll be ok-"

"I don't doubt that Baby, because you're a good kid, it's just that I don't trust the arseholes that are out and about at this time of the bloody night, plus most people are scared of me"

This statement did make me chuckle a little bit as most people I know are actually scared of Dad, I knew that he was a big old softie at heart, is that from the fact that I'm his little girl?, to be honest with you it could be a possibility but 14 year old me definitely would never admit to that.

"I'm not really scared of you Dad because I know that you're just a big old softie inside that macho exterior that most people see"

"(Snorts), I love you too Buba, even if you doubt that I'm scary"

"Whatever you want to believe in Dad"

"You know that you're a little shit"

"You're not wrong but anyway Dad, we need to go now if we're going to get to Bushy park before 3 O'clock in the morning"

So Dad and I went on the train to the nearest train station to bushy park (which isn't even that close to the train station if we're going to be honest here), and then Dad and I walked around Bushy park until we saw Bianca, which took us a couple of minutes.

"Hey Bee"

"Hey, you didn't wake your Dad just to come out and get me?, did you?"

"Nah, he was already awake Bee and he said I wasn't allowed out on my own at this time of the night"

"Hey there Mr Addams"

"Mr Addams makes me feel old Kiddo, call me Teddy"

"Ok"

So we then got back onto the train to home and we walked back home, and by this point it was like 3 O'clock in the morning, I showed Bianca where my bed was, since I had given up on sleeping that night, because I was wide awake and I didn't want to try and wind down after that.

"Here's where you're going to sleep tonight"

"I haven't kicked you out of bed, have I?"

"Of course not Bee"

"You sure?"

"Absolutely, if I really needed to sleep then I'll just get in the bed with you while Dad organises an extra bed, ok"

"Ok"

Bianca was asleep before her head hit the pillow, so I went to make myself a cup of tea, as you do when you are sleep deprived, and then I sat on the couch.

Dad surprisingly went to bed afterwards, so I was chilling in the living room by myself, which I was fine with as I could gather my thoughts after the eventful night we had.
