So we were at outside the phycologist's office, because Dad thought that I might have depression, but I didn't believe him at the time, because I was a dumb kid, (actually I still act like a dumb kid even though I'm a proper adult now but that's besides the point), but I still went to the phycologist because I was kind of curious about if I did have depression or not.

"Dad"

"Yeah Sweetheart"

"I'm a little bit scared"

"Hey, it's ok, it's perfectly normal to feel nervous about this Baby, but I promise you that it's no where near as scary as you think it is, I promise"

"How do you know that though Dad?"

"I have been for an mental health check because Papa was worried about me and my mental health Buba"

I was shocked, not because Dad needed a mental health check, but that Dad had actually gone for said mental health check, since I was used to him being a stubborn old man about it, (though he would not appreciate that I called him an old man).

"So Papa did for you what you did for me today?"

"Yeah Baby, I did the same for you today as Papa did for me a few years ago"

"I don't actually remember you needing to go to one of these"

"Yeah well you were 8 years old at the time Sweetheart, you were at school that day because Papa and I thought it was better that it remained as normal of a day as possible"

"I guess it's makes sense"

"I'm glad to hear that..."

"Will you go in with me?"

"Do you want me to go in with you Baby?"

"Yeah"

"Then yeah Rowan Sweetheart, I'll go in with you"

"Thank you"

I squeezed my Dad's hand real tight to make sure that he was actually still there, because I was absolutely terrified of talking to essentially a brain doctor about my mental health (or lack there of in my case), honestly I probably looked like a steaming hot mess with my bun that was half falling out of the hairband and the purple circles underneath my eyeballs.

Dad pulled me in for a hug, which made me feel so safe, because he knew that I was fucking absolutely terrified that day, (though who wouldn't be scared on that day is probably a good question).

"Dad"

"Yeah Baby"

"Will today change everything?"

"What do you mean by that Tesoro?"

"Will people treat me differently to before?"

"No Sweetheart, not if they're your real friends, which I think that they are your real friends because you lot have some banter between you all, anyway they won't treat you differently because you haven't changed-"

"But I kinda have-"

"No you have not Ro, the only thing that has changed is that now you are getting the help you need, which doesn't change anything about who you are as a person"

So then they called me into the phycologist room, so Dad and I then went into the room and sat across from a phycologist, I don't really remember what exactly was said, but, I remember feeling like somebody had cracked me like a coconut and my feelings were now running into a stream.

I was diagnosed with depression by the phycologist, which had me shook, though Dad wasn't surprised, because obviously he was the one that made the appointment with the phycologist in the first place.

Though then we had to wait for a slip of paper that had my new prescription on, because apparently we couldn't just yeet ourselves out of there straight afterwards, (because you know, they had to give me my meds).

So Dad and I sat in the waiting room for a little while, so we chatted for that duration, as you would do when you're waiting on a prescription to be written up.

"Dad"

"Yeah Baby"

"How many girls did you end up dating?"

"Define dating for me Kiddo?"

"Why?"

"Because the number varies by definition"

"Alright Dad, how many did you end up sleeping with?"

"Ah shit, I don't know"

"I thought that the numbers varied?"

Dad laughed quietly, as though something was bloody hilarious, though I didn't know what was so hilarious.

"They do vary, but I don't exactly know the numbers"

"Oh my God"

"(Snorts)"

"I bet that I could guess it though"

"Go for it"

"20"

"Too low"

"Ok, 30"

"That's still too low"

"Ok... what about 50?"

"No that's still a bit low"

"You slut!"

"(Ugly snorts), I had no parental guidance at your age Bambina-"

"You can say that again Dad"

"Piss off"

So then we got called to collect my slip for my prescription, and we collected it as you do, and then we left.
