Teddy PoV

I was actually bloody organised with the presents for Christmas that year, which was an achievement for me since I usually left getting presents for everyone until the very last minute, but I got myself organised so that I wouldn't be up until 5am wrapping presents, I know, Teddy was actually thinking, Holy shit, yeah well it didn't mean that I slept though, because that would've been way too convenient for me.

I was staring at the ceiling, until quarter past 6 in the morning, that was when Ro came in with the intention of waking me up, obviously bored out of her tree on her own.

"Daddy Daddy Daddy, it's Christmas!"

"(Laughs) I know Baby, I know, (whispers) Merry Christmas Sweetheart"

"(Whispers) Merry Christmas Daddy, is it time to open the presents yet?"

"No, not yet Buba, it will be time when little hand on the clock is on the 7"

"But that's ages away though Daddy, what do we do until then?"

"We wait until then Sweetheart"

"Can I have a cuddle Daddy?"

"Of course you can Sweetie, come here"

So Ro laid her head on the left side of my chest, and I just wrapped my arms around her, pulling the covers over us, it was actually quiet for a few minutes, but that was broken because Ro asked me a question.

"Daddy"

"Yeah Baby"

"I have a question"

"Ok, ask away Buba"

"How long have you had the earring in your lip?"

"Well I've had this for longer then you've been alive Baby girl"

"Really?"

"(Chuckles), yeah Baby, really"

"So why did you get it?"

"Well Sweetheart, there's lots of reasons why I got my lip pierced, like I wanted to stand out, but I did originally have two piercings in my lip"

"Well what happened to the other one then Daddy?"

"To be honest with you Baby, someone pulled it out during a fight"

"Daddy, you got into fights?!"

"Unfortunately I used to get into lots of 'em Baby girl"

"But that's bad Daddy"

"(Sighs), well Darling, Daddy was a very different man before you were born Sweetheart, and not in a good way"

"What changed you then?"

"Well Baby, what happened was I became a Daddy, and good Daddies don't go around getting into lots fights, and I wanted to be a good Daddy for you"

"You're the best Daddy ever"

"You think so Baby?"

"I know so"

Ro went quiet after that, until it was time to wake Georgie up, as he actually takes an age to wake up, I stayed where I was because it's easier that way, I could hear what was going on anyways.

"Uncle Georgie! Uncle Georgie! Uncle Georgie! wake up, wake up it's Christmas!"

"But it's not even 7 O'clock yet though Ro"

"Yeah but you take forever to wake up properly Uncle Georgie"

"That's because it's too early for me to deal with your energy Ro"

"You get up earlier than this for school though, and I was waking you up nicely Uncle Georgie"

"What's nice about shaking me up like a markka missy?"

"Well, I could do what Daddy wanted to do to you on my birthday and pour a bowl of water on your head to really wake you up but then you would be a Grinchy Uncle Georgie, and we don't need an actual Grinch on Christmas, as much as I love the movie"

"Fine I'm actually up"

"I thought you might do Uncle Georgie"

Laughing to myself as I followed them into the living room, it was moments like this that made me smile, because I knew that I didn't have that many Christmases left with an energetic child, which sounds stupid to most people, but I knew that I would miss it once Ro grew up.

And while I don't really remember what everyone got, (being sleep deprived will do that to you), but after presents were opened, we all had scrambled eggs and croissants for breakfast, since that was our Christmas tradition.

I was sitting down on the couch to a cup of coffee I made myself before I started on the Christmas dinner, the room was very quiet, Ro then came out of her room, and sat on my lap.

"Hey Daddy"

"Hey Baby, are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm ok Daddy, I just wanted to say thank you"

"For what Buba?"

"For making Christmas special still even though I knew about Santa"

"You don't need to thank me Baby"

"I know I don't need to thank you Daddy, but I want to thank you"

"You're welcome Sweetheart"

I pulled Ro into a hug before my cold little heart melted from the kindness of my little girl, I don't know what I did to deserve such a wholehearted child, but I knew that I would do anything for her.
