Teddy PoV

Georgie, Ro and I went to visit Mum, since we wouldn't be spending Christmas Day at her house.

Ro was asleep on the couch, Mollie wasn't in the room, I don't remember where Georgie was, but it was just my mum and I in the room sitting on the couches, well Ro was technically in the room but she wasn't conscious.

I love my mum, I really do, but I'm not the biggest fan of hers when she tries to be over motherly when she's not naturally motherly.

"Teddy, do you feel like you've grown up faster than you should?"

"No, what makes you think that I did Mum?"

"I'm not saying anything against Rowan, because I love her to bits, but sometimes I felt like you grew up too fast"

I was confused about where this came from, because for a lot of my childhood, my siblings and I were in and out of Foster Care, (well bar Mollie).

"For fuck's sake, I've been raising her just fine for the last 6 years, and to be honest with you Mum, if Ro weren't here, I would probably be snorting some fucking illegal shit up my nose right now"

"Teddy, I'm being serious, do you ever just relax and do something you want to do?"

"Like what exactly?"

"Like get drunk, or something as reckless as that"

"(Snorts), Jesus Christ, do you really wanna know?"

"Yes Teddy, I wouldn't have asked you if I didn't"

"Ok then, but don't say I didn't warn you, because I did, (Sighs), I've had one night stands"

My mum actually looked shocked, I don't know why, it's wasn't like she hadn't seen any evidence of it, I might have brought someone home once or twice when I was living with her, I'm just putting that out there in case I forget to later on.

"Really?!"

"(Snorts), You say that like you haven't accidentally seen any actual evidence of it"

"I didn't know it was a regular thing though Teddy"

"Well I don't fucking announce it to the entire fucking world every single time I have one, because that's between me and whoever I'm doing at the time, Jesus Christ Mum"

"Do you use protection?"

"I don't always remember it-"

"Teddy!, you could have STDS or something like that"

"I don't, I've checked recently, like a semi responsible adult does"

"What about if you got somebody pregnant?"

"There's worse things to worry about for fuck's sake"

"I thought you didn't want another child?"

"No that's not actually what I said about it Mum, that's what Maddie told you that I said about it, which is blinded by hatred for 'my actions', what I actually said to her was that I don't want another child from a serious relationship, because if shit hits the fan and we break up, it would affect the hypothetical child that we share-"

"What do you know about serious relationships Teddy?"

"Oh you can fuck right off!, I've had a couple of serious relationships in my life, you know, Megan and Maddie, and both of them went down the shitter"

"So if you did get someone pregnant, would you be happy?"

My mum does ask some real fucking questions, but then again, she had been feeling guilty about some of the things she's done during my childhood.

"Honestly I haven't thought about it Mum, but I wouldn't think that it was the end of the world if I did get someone pregnant Mum, because at the end of the day, I'm a grown arse man and I know what I'm doing"

"That's what your Father-"

"Mum I'm not him though"

"I'm just say-"

"No, because he hasn't ever had us live with him-"

"Georgie did-"

"Georgie got kicked out after 2 fucking months, so that doesn't count, he hasn't had us live with him, he has not been the only parent raising us-"

"Teddy that's not fair-"

"Isn't it, Mum I would do anything for my daughter, regardless of how hard it is for me, because she is way more fucking important to me than my own fucking pride or my ego, he can't ever claim the same thing, because he kicked Georgie out for being gay, he left you with Rueben and Violet until they were 2 years old, then he fucking knocked you up again with me, I don't know how you think him and I are similar in anyway, shape or form, because we're not"

I wanted to start an argument with my own Mum, but I also didn't want Ro to wake up to a massive fucking argument between her Nan and her Dad, so I did what I thought was the right thing to do.

"Look Mum, I would love to stay but we need to get home before 10"
