《Here comes Teddy》No Calpol (Seven)

Teddy PoV
Britney walked up to me, after 5 minutes of her trying to get my attention by fluttering her eyes at me.
"Teddy!, what ch'a doing after school?"
"Going home, why?"
"Maybe we could go out?"
"Go where exactly?"
"To the pub"
"Or I could go home to my daughter, something that a responsible parent does"
"But I'm bored"
"Well, Britney, I'm not the person that can help you with that, sorry"
"But you're my boyfriend!"
"If we're getting into technicalities, I was only ever your fuck buddy that Daddy didn't like, I'm going now, bye"
I started walking away so that I could prove my point and she was so annoying when she got whiney.
Some time later and I was home, doing my coursework for my GCSE's.
Coursework, a pain in the arse as far as I was concerned, not that I'd ever admit that to either of my parents, because they would've just told me to give Ro up for adoption, and I never wanted the Foster care system for any of my kids, so I just suffered in silence instead.
Georgie ran up the stairs and into my room, which meant that shit was going down, because Georgie wouldn't get me unless it was a bloody emergency.
"Teddy!"
"Georgie, woah, why are you panicking?"
"Because Mum's not here, Mollie is bouncing off the walls and Rowan's crying and I don't know what I'm doing and I really didn't want to disturb you from your coursework but I don't know what else to do"
"Hey, I'm coming, fuck, I asked Mum if she could look after Ro but that's not what happened obviously"
So I leg it down the stairs because I was slightly panicked at this point, I mean I had this feeling that something wasn't right, (which I wasn't wrong about.

"Dada!"
"Shh, hey, Buba, what's the matter?"
"Ouchy"
I pick Ro up and immediately knew that she was sick, but then I checked in the living room cupboard and there was no calpol in the house, I covered Ro's left ear as her right ear was on my chest, because I knew that I needed to yell as Mollie was definitely bouncing on the couch and I as the eldest in the house at the time needed to do something about that.
"Shit"
"You just used a bad word Teddy"
"Well Mollie, there's no fucking Calpol in the house"
"Where's Mummy?"
"I don't know Mollie"
"Why don't you know Teddy?!"
"Because she didn't tell anybody where the fuck she was going Mollie!, can you stop jumping on the fucking couch, Jesus Christ Mollie!"
"But I'm bored!"
"Then go watch some tv Mollie!"
"But I don't want to!"
"Mollie, if I have to tell you again about the couch, I will drag you off it myself!"
"Fine!"
"Was that hard?"
"No"
"Right, Georgie!, I'm going to the Chemist!"
"What for?!"
"Calpol"
I was waiting in line in the Chemist like a good citizen, even though I felt like shouting at everyone to hurry the fuck up, charming I know.
"Next person please"
'Thank fuck for that' I thought.
"How can I help you?"
"Do you have Calpol for a 2 year old?"
"Name?"
"Theodore Addams"
"ID?"
"Does my passport count?"
"Sure"
So I got home with the Calpol, hoping that it would work, because I really didn't need a sick toddler on top of the amount of coursework I had to do, Ro really wasn't having any of it though.
"No Dada"
"It'll help you feel better Buba"

"No"
"I know that it's not the nicest thing ever Baby, but I promise you that it'll help you feel better"
"No Dada, it icky"
"I know Bambina, I know, shh, shh, shhhhh"
I eventually got Ro to actually take the Calpol but that was no fucking feat, Mum wasn't back from whatever she was doing until 11 O'clock at night like.
"I'm back!"
"Where were you?"
"I was shopping Teddy"
"Until 11pm, what fucking shop is open that late?"
"Tesco's, why do you and George look so tired?"
"Because it was a fucking disaster!, Mollie was bouncing off the fucking walls, Georgie here could tell you that, Ro had a high temperature, so I had to go to the chemist for Calpol while she was screaming her head off, all of this was happening when I was supposed to be doing coursework and you said that you would look after Ro for me"
I was kinda pissed at this point, not because Mum wasn't here, 'cause I didn't give a fuck about that, no, it was because she said she would look after Ro that day while I was doing my coursework.
"I'm sorry, it took longer than I thought"
"Obviously"
"But I have a date"
"With who?"
"With Gary"
"Who the bloody hell is Gary?"
"Georgie's friend"
"She means the old man"
"He's not even old though Georgie"
"He likes older ladies"
"Yeah that's obvious"
