I arrived in Glasgow
I got a cab to her apartment and knocked on her door
She didn't open.
"Lexi" I said knocking again after a few minutes she still didn't open
I was getting more nervous and confused by the second
I grabbed my phone and called Becky
"Hello?" She said "why isn't she in her apartment?" I asked "she's asked me to move her stuff to her old apartment in Leeds a couple weeks ago" she answered "good" I sighed
She might be in Leeds then
There was hope.
-
I traveled to Leeds that same day and arrived in Leeds around four hours later
I called a taxi to drive me to her apartment
I knocked on the door
After a few moments she opened the door
My heart started beating faster
She looked at me with bloodshot eyes "van?" She asked confused "why?" I asked she swallowed knowing what i meant "why didn't you tell me you were leaving?" I asked
"I-I'm sorry, van" she whispered i sighed looking at her "van?" She asked
I looked at her "can you come in?" She whispered "of course, love" I said walking into her apartment sitting down in the kitchen
She had tears in her eyes as she turned around making some tea
"Tell me-"
"Van, i can't do this anymore" she whispered turning around to look at me
I knitted my eyebrows together and looked at her "what?" I asked "i can't do this anymore" she whispered "what do you mean you can't do-"
"I don't feel the same anymore ,van" she whispered with a tear rolling down her cheek
"But? Lexi come on you-"
"I'm so sorry van"
- lexi's pov
Van left my apartment that evening.
Of course i felt the same but i couldn't let him carry on on with me like this.
I was bad for him.
So it was over, officially
I drove to becky's home with my car and opened the door "hello" I said closing the door
I spotted her in the kitchen with her brother
"How are you?" she asked looking at me
I didn't answer cause if i would tears would come out instead of words
She noticed it and looked at her brother
"I get the hint I'll be upstairs mates" he said shooting me a small smile
I sat next to Becky and looked at her
"It's okay" she whispered hugging me
I started crying and closing my eyes
"What has happened?" She asked me
She got me some tea and a cigarette before i answered her question
"You okay now?" She whispered "kind of" I whispered "now tell me, what happened?" She asked me with a weak smile

I swallowed "me and van broke up" I whispered looking at her
It made me want to trow up when i said that
But i ended it myself
"Christ" she sighed i nodded
"I couldn't let him deal with my problems no more" I whispered "is that's what this is about?" She asked i knitted my eyebrows together "what?" I asked "van loves you to death you know how tough this is for him? You are depressed whether you want to hear it or not" she started my heart started beating faster by what she said "you breaking up with him is the worst you could do, he is fucking worried about you Lexi, he is even more worried about you now since he isn't a part of your life anymore!" She said i lighted the cigarette
"He kept you sane Lexi, he was the only one who could do that" she sighed drinking her tea
She was right but also wrong "it just didn't work out anymore" I said avoiding eye contact "bullocks." She said
I sighed "you and i both know you love him more than anything" she said
I stood up "where you going?" She asked
"Home." I said "Lexi, go talk to him"
"N-no i just can't."
- a week later
- van's pov
I was still in Leeds
I just couldn't leave, not after what she said
I just couldn't believe it was over
I just didn't want to believe it
I sat in my hotel room writing something down on my notebook but i was done doing that
I grabbed my jacket and walked outside
I lighted a fag looking around
"Van?" I heard Lexi's voice say i turned around and saw no one, was it all in my head?
I shook the thoughts away and walked further
- flashback
"Why'd you love it?" I whispered studying her face she smiled as big as she could
She was drunk, but i didn't mind really
"Cause we always get pissed here and we dance and sing 'ere and when your gone i come here and flashbacks take over my mind in the bar" she said smiling taking a sip of her beer
"You know how much i love you?" I asked
"Your drunk" she chuckled
"So are you but we don't lie do we?"
"I hope not" she she smiling
I wanted to cry, scream
I lost my mind when i lost her
I continue to walk in the rain towards the bar hoping she was there
I walked in and saw Becky "van?" She asked shocked i shot her a weak smile

I haven't slept, in days
"How are you- I mean- why are you still here?" She asked as i sat down "i can't leave" I said ordering a beer "van, it's been a week" she whispered "yeah, i know" I said
"Why don't you just go home?"
"As i said i can't" I sighed
-
I was hammered.
Out of my mind drunk.
I walked around the streets of Leeds until i saw a familiar building in front of me
"Lexi!" I yelled not knowing what i was doing
"Lexi i know your there!" I yelled harder with tears in my eyes
"Lexi!" I yelled again I sat down on the street
"Lexi" I said closing my eyes
I looked at the balcony, we were always sitting on
- flashback
"No you'll die!" She laughed as i leaned over the balcony "Come help me!" I teased
"I have only one spare hand" she said shaking the hand with her cigarette in it "right so you wouldn't come saving me if I'd really fall?" I teased walking back to her
"Of course i would, i would go nuts if you weren't by my side anymore, your all i have" she said looking at me
I opened my eyes and saw someone walking on that balcony
It wasn't her, it was somebody else
- Lexi's pov
I closed my eyes as he kissed my neck but opened them as someone screamed
"It's probably nothing, darling" brain said in my ear i nodded and closed my eyes again
"Lexi!" I heard a voice scream
I kept my eyes closed
"Lexi!" I heard again i sighed opening my eyes
"Brain, can you please go on the balcony looking at who that is?" I asked
He got out of the bed and opened the big windows to my balcony
I looked at the ceiling
I missed van, so much i cried lots this week
But i got myself a distraction and hoped that i could get over van "there's this guy with long brownish hair" brain started
I quickly got out of my bed and walked out of my apartment
I got into the lift and waited to arrive at the first floor to walk outside
I made my way outside
I saw him standing there "Lexi" he whispered
I shook my head with tears rolling down my cheek "van, go home" I managed to get out
"No Lexi no no" he whispered walking towards me "van you have to leave" I whispered
He had tears in his eyes, i could tell he was drunk "it's not over is it? It's all a big nightmare right, love?" He whispered walking closer i closed my eyes feeling his breathing closer "you have to go, its over" I whispered
He shook his head putting his hand on my cheek stroking it with his finger on my skin
"van please" I whispered opening my eyes
"Stay, please" he said looking into my eyes
I broke away from him and grabbed my keys
"I'm driving you to your hotel" I whispered knowing he was staying at a hotel since he didn't have a apartment here
He didn't hesitate i walked towards my car and started it hopping in
He sat down in the car and put the radio on
Mr. Bright side by the killers started playing as i closed the door
Van looked into the mirror looking into my eyes as i already looked into the mirror
"This is our song innit?" He said with his crooked smile
- flashback
"This is me' jam!" Van laughed standing up
"Van!" I laughed intertwining my hand with his
"We can't dance this is a pub" I whispered into his ear as he grabbed me closer
"This will be out song for now on yeah?" He smiled moving his hips
I nodded kissing him softly
I didn't answer van, i started driving down the street "which hotel are you staying in?" I asked
He said what his hotel was and looked out of the window
"I know i should've have come" he whispered
I sighed looking at the road ahead of us
"Lexi?" He asked "yes?" I answered
"Do you still love me?" he whispered looking at me I looked at my hands then at the road again
"Of course i do van" I whispered
"Why was that guy at your apartment?" He asked clearly a bit sobered up
"I-i-" I started
"Lexi?"
"Van we're not together anymore"
"I know, I know"
He closed his eyes as we stood in front of his hotel with my car "can you promise me something?" He asked
I stopped the car and looked at in "call me when you need anything." He whispered i nodded watching him opening the door of my car "goodnight, love" he whispered stepping out of my car leaving me alone with my thoughts
I watched him walk into the hotel
I closed my eyes feeling tears roll down my cheek
I started the car again and drove away
I'm sorry, van

The Good Crash: An Oral History of the Post-Scarcity Collapse
"Don't we all feel, deep down, that we deserve the apocalypse?" APRIL, 2028—Global capitalism has collapsed. America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages. All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread. As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.

Office Days
Follow Captain Monday and the Weekdays team as they fight the good fight against the villainous Weekends. Oh, and file form a33-2 before eoq3. Comes with a dash of The Office and Office Space plus a side of Super Hero satire. Office Days is episodic in nature. So each story is standalone and may vary in length and focus. The Monday Case is the first episode and serves mostly to introduce the characters broadly. Comments get +Rep for effort. This setting was intended to be a comic series but I never found an artist for the job... probably for lack of trying. The "art" is for concept only... it took me far too long to make and it's still all sub-par.

Heavenly Flame
Every prince born in the Tian Dynasty goes through a ritual to recover memories from their previous lives. With these memories, they receive amazing cultivation techniques and martial skills that make them stand above all other men and able to rule the world from the Heavenly Court. When Tian Yan wakes up from the ritual, he realizes something is wrong and he does not seem to possess any of the advantages he was expecting. Will he be able to compete in the backstabbing, scheming, and politicking that is required to succeed his father and inherit the Imperial throne? Or even survive? After all, they stand above all other men and that means the biggest threat to a prince is the other princes. Heavenly Flame is a Xianxia story with a heavy focus on drama, relationships, and romance. It will have a lot of recognizable things from the genre but I will also try to subvert elements that I do not like about it. Scheduled chapters will be released Tuesdays at 11:00 CET and Thursdays at 19:00 CET. I might still release additional chapters depending on my other workload but these will be marked as such.
