I turned to Jake, my face dropping. He stared back, wide-eyed.

"Oh, you're going with them?" His mom asked, still trying to keep her tone neutral.

"Yeah, Josh said it would be fun. Apparently they have plenty of room."

I felt my face get hot.

"Where would she stay?" I whispered to Jake. He scrunched up his eyebrows, shaking his head.

"There isn't any room." He said plainly, getting up from the bed.

"Where are you going?" He peeked back before opening the door.

"To figure out what the hell is going on." He said, slamming the door behind him. I quickly got up and followed him down the hallway.

"What's going on?" He snapped, making his way into the kitchen. Josh and Amy were sitting at the counter. Josh flashed Jake a smile, and then his eyes moved to me.

The smile slowly started to fade.

"I figured, since you can have someone with you on tour, why can't I?" Josh asked smugly.

"Because she's working." Jake said sternly. "You know it's different."

"I just don't see how it's fair that you can have your girlfriend but no one else can."

Jake shot Amy a look, to which she returned a condescending smile. I felt my face get hot again. I hated the way she looked at him. It was obvious this whole thing was just a plan to upset the both of us.

And it was obviously working.

"I figured Amy could stay in the back room with Jess. There's plenty of room back there. It's huge." Josh said, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair. I heard Jake sigh.

"Seriously?" He snapped. Josh shrugged.

"Why, what's wrong with that?"

"She's not coming with us." Jake said. "She doesn't do anything."

"Well, I'm sure there's something she could do." Josh said simply, turning to Amy. "We've been looking for a new merch girl, haven't we?" Jake rolled his eyes, shaking his head.

"We're fine with who we have."

"Well, I already told her she can come. So I guess we're just gonna have to figure it out, aren't we?"

"What's wrong, Jake?" Amy said. "You don't want me hanging out with your new girlfriend? How convenient you already had someone new lined up as soon as you left."

"Oh, shut up, Amy." Jake snapped.

"Jacob!" His mom yelled. Jake shook his head, now putting his hands on his hips.

"I can't believe this is happening.." He sighed. "We broke up. Why are you still bothering me?"

"I'm not here to bother you." She said with a smile, moving her chair closer to Josh. "Josh and I have been talking for a while now, why wouldn't I want to come with him?"

"For a while now huh?" I chimed in, looking at Josh. His eyes got wide as he quickly looked over at me, and then back to Jake.

"Not too long ago, but for a bit." He said plainly, avoiding Amy's eyes. Amy looked over at him confused; he ignored her.

"It'll be fun." Josh said. "We can double date."

Jake stood there for a moment, glaring at Josh until he finally stormed off outside. I quickly followed as he made his way through the backyard.

"Jake!" I called out. He kept walking.

"Jake!" I reached out, grabbing his hand. He sighed, turning around.

"I can't believe he's being like this." He said, looking away from me.

"It's okay." I sighed. "I have you. I don't care who else is there."

"You're not sharing a room with her." He said sternly. "That's ridiculous to ask of you."

"Well.. then I'll stay with you." I laughed. "In your bunk." His lips finally curled into a smile as he smirked down at me.

"You would be miserable in that bunk." He laughed. I reached up, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Well, I have been looking for an excuse to get even closer to you." His smile grew as he stared back at me, gently shaking his head.

"Thank you." He said quietly.

"For what?" I asked, staring back.

"For being you." I felt my heart start to beat faster. I rolled my eyes.

"Do you have these lines written down somewhere?" I asked, pulling him in closer. He laughed, shaking his head.

"Nope, unfortunately, I actually am just this lame." I laughed, leaning in kissing him on the lips. His arms moved down to my waist where he pulled me in closer.

"Well, I like it." I said quietly.

"Good, cause it's just for you. Don't let anyone else know." He giggled to himself.

"Because you're so cool otherwise." I said, smirking back.

"I am!" He laughed.

I sighed, staring back up at him. I loved that despite everything, we could still manage to be like this with each other. I knew no matter what happened, I would be okay, if I was with him.

It wasn't long until we saw Josh and Amy making their way outside, followed by Danny and Sam. Sam shot Jake a look to which Jake played off by shaking his head. I'm sure they'd talk about it later.

"I guess it's time to go, huh?" I asked, still holding onto him. He nodded, looking around.

"Did you mean it.. when you said.. you might like it more out here?" He asked, biting down on his lip. I felt my cheeks burn.

"It's beautiful out here, completely different from where I grew up. It's peaceful and open and just.. so homey."

"Okay.. just wondering." He said, smiling back at me. My heart started beating faster.

"Why do you ask?" He shook his head, sliding his hand into mine and started leading us towards the bus.

"No reason." He said simply. I stared back at him skeptical, but decided to let it go for now.

Their mom met us at the door of the bus.

"Now, be careful." She said, leaning in and hugging Jake. He hugged her tightly, rubbing her back.

"I will mom." He said sweetly. "Love you." She leaned in, kissing his cheek and he went onto the bus.

"It was so nice to finally meet you." She said to me, leaning in and giving me a tight hug. I held on tight until she let go. "You make him so happy." She said quietly. I felt my cheeks burn and a smile escape my lips.

"He makes me happy too." I said softly, looking up the steps of the bus. Her smile grew. I looked back one more time before I made my way up, and the first thing I saw was Josh and Amy sitting close on the couch, his arm wrapped around her shoulder. I felt my stomach drop. I quickly looked away and followed Jake into the back room.

"I really can't believe he's doing this." He said quietly. I quickly shut the door behind me and crawled onto the bed, lying down close to him. He propped himself up against the pillows staring up at the ceiling. I maneuvered myself into his arms, wrapping my arm across his stomach. He sighed, pulling my closer and leaning over, kissing my forehead.

"Should I talk to him?" I asked, looking up at him. He shook his head.

"The last thing I want you to do is talk to him. That's exactly what he wants, is just a little more time alone with you." I shrugged.

"It hardly seems like he even likes me anymore if he's doing this." I sighed. He shook his head again.

"If anything, it means he likes you even more. The more hurt he is, the more spiteful he gets. And this is an all time low for him." He said quietly.

"What.. happened between you and Amy?" I brought myself to ask. "She seems angry with you. Like.. something happened."

He hesitated for a moment.

"Nothing happened, it's just.. she thought it was going to really go somewhere and.. I.. well.." He stopped, looking down now awkwardly picking at his fingernails.

"You what?" I asked.

"I found out you were coming." He said softly. "And.. I couldn't be with her anymore.. knowing.. maybe.. there was a chance.. with you."

My heart was racing. We hadn't even met yet and he was willing to break off his relationship.. over the idea of me?

"But.. how did you know anything would happen?" I finally asked. He shrugged, smirking back down at me.

"I didn't. But.. the idea of you was better than.. the reality of her, as bad as that sounds. I just knew.. it wasn't going to go anywhere. And it wasn't fair to her to lead her on anymore anyway. And.. well, it doesn't help that.. all of her friends were getting engaged and she started pressuring me.. and the band just started taking off and.. I wasn't ready for that. Definitely not with her." He said, peeking back down at me. I nodded, reaching over and taking his hand. His lips curved into a gentle smile.

"Okay. We don't have to talk about her anymore. Thank you for telling me." I said plainly. He leaned over, gently kissing my forehead. I looked back up at him as he leaned down, holding my face in his hands, pulling me into a kiss. I rolled over, climbing up to sit on top of him. His smile turned into a toothy grin as he stared back up at me, reaching out.

"Come back.." He sighed. I laughed, leaning down and kissing him again. His kisses got harder as his hands moves down to my waist, pulling me closer.

"You know what the best part of us having this room is?" I asked, leaning my forehead against his. He bit down on his lip, shaking his head.

"What?" He sighed.

I got up and smiled back at him, locking the door.
