《The Mystery Replacement》Chapter 4

I'm with the strikers and some of the midfield players who are all practising their crossing and finishing. I spot Alex about to take the cross from Julie so I decide to run in front and strike the ball into the back of the net before she can
"and O'Neil scores again! What an absolute rocket!" I say in my commentator's voice as I slide onto my knees in celebration
"the crowd goes wild!" I say dramatically making all the girls laugh with me.
"so first you steal my ball and then you finish it with the worst knee slide I've ever seen," Alex says with a smile in her face
"Are you insulting my knee slide miss Morgan?" I say putting a hand in my chest in fake shock
"I think I am miss O'Neil" she replies back her own cocky grin on her face.
"that's it! JILL!" I shout to get the coaches attention, a lot of the group that to look at me
"what do you want now Toni," Jill says back an unimpressed look in her face, she went me to be silly so she's getting it
"Alex is bullying me?" I whine to her making Alex gaps in shock
"I am not" She protests making me smile.
"you are too!" I reply crossing my arms
"Stop bickering like a married couple, and get on with the task I've given you" Jill shoots at us making the tram laugh at us getting told off. I just stare at will and send her a subtle wink before carrying on.
Training carried on going well, I make my way through different groups trying to figure out everyone's style of play and weaving myself into odd groups.
I can still see the moral is a little low and sloppy mistakes are being made because of it, I can see Jill getting frustrated but she doesn't want to shout at her players anymore. I have a kind of eureka moment and know exactly what will help.

I run off the pitch and into the dressing room getting multiple shouts from staff and player but I ignore them and head straight to the storeroom cupboard.
"come on please be in her- aha!" I say grabbing exactly what I need and wheeling it back onto the pitch.
"why do you have a speaker Toni?" Jill ask as she sees what I've dragged out
"Just give me 10 minutes of training Jill and everyone will be back to normal, I promise," I say hoping she lets me give my plan a spin.
"This better be good Toni," She says raising her eyebrows at me.
"Everyone to the middle of the pitch!" I scream out and see them all giving each other weird looks but following my instructions neither the less
I set up the music I want and hand my phone to Jill.
"Right ladies, I think I know what's needed right now and that is what's needed in any stressful situation. It doesn't matter what it is, a football match, a prosecution, a really important exam, there's always one thing that will solve all of your worries." I say and see the look of confusion on everyone's face.
"that's a dance party! Hit it Jill!" I shout as she turns the music on and Taylor Swift starts blaming through the speakers
Everyone starts cheering as I dance stupidly to be song and singing along to the lyrivs
"come on guys I know for a fact that you'll know the lyrics!" I shout trying to get them all to join in
The younger ones and the jokers are the first to join in meaning I've got Pugh, O'Hara, Sonnett, Davidson, Lavelle and Dunn all dancing along to Shake it off
By this point practically everyone has joined in except for the mature ones, aka Sauerbrunn, Press, Krieger and Naeher

I carry on singing and dance my way over to the older ones grabbing Krieger's and Press's hands before pulling the into the dancing circle we've deemed to form
I've only got two left and these are probably the most important, our main goalie and captain of the defnece. I decide to go full out here, getting down in my knees and singing ridiculously out of tune and over the top but it manages to crack a smile on the face of them both
Finally everyone is jumping up and down together and singing the lyrics incredibly out of sync but not a single person doesn't have a smile on their face or not laughing.
Knowing there one the last person I need to relax I run over to Jill and pull her with me
"Toni!" She shouts in protest but it's too late as she already joined whatever dance party this has turned into
'
By the end, everyone is in hysterics holding the side from laughing too much or wiping away the tears.
"thank you all for joining my dance class! I'll see you the same time next week" I say taking a bow while being met with a round of applause and lots of cheering.
"Alright, dancing over, back to soccer now," Jill says laughing as she takes the speaker from the pitch and we all head back to our section.
"Why did you do that" Alex asks walking beside me
"Everyone needed a little pick me up and what's better therapy than singing and dancing" I say winking at her as I jog to my position.
