School seemed pretty stressful as expected because we're college students. Each and everyone were all busy completing our requirements and also preparing ourselves for the upcoming exams, which is literally just around the corner. And it didn't helped that one of our very important meetings are also scheduled in the same week as the exam week.
We were all gathered by Ms. Kim on the office as the usual, she placed a folder which contained a few amount of papers in front of me. I furrowed my eyebrows and picked it up, scanning everything that was in the proposal.
, she explained to everyone.
Soobin leaned over my shoulder to take a glance of the paper I was holding, , he asked Ms. Kim.
, she spoke which made everyone's face lit up. ", she added which made everyone nod their heads in agreement.
I sat up straight on my seat before clearing out my throat, , I paused while tapping my hands on the table, deep in thought of what to say next. I looked at everyone who were eagerly waiting for me to finish my sentence, "
Everyone looked at each other and began discussing about their thoughts, moments later they agreed to the plan while Soobin just held a thumbs up while nodding his head at my suggesting.
, Bomin commented and grinned.
One of them raised their hand,
, one of them answered.
There was a pause, , the secretary of the student council, Nakyung suggested with her eyebrows raised together.
, Soobin agreed at the girl's advice.
Everyone agreed, , someone confirmed.
Soobin turned his head to look at me with a smirk on his face, I raised my eyebrow at him which made him chuckle. , I asked him with a glare.
, he whispered to me.
, I playfully rolled my eyes at him. He shrugged, , I sarcastically replied.

I purposely kicked his leg under the table which made him wince in pain, but I ignored him and continued listening to the discussion.
, someone asked.
, I answered them.
Soobin leaned back on his seat with a yawn and stretched his limbs, , he suggested.
They all agreed to his suggestion, I averted my gaze from the chrome book to look at my fellow students who looked exhausted and hungry. I shook my head with a smile on my face before clicking the save button.
I sighed and ran a hand on my hair, , I closed the chrome book.
After my announcement, everyone was already out of their seats along with their stuff. I grabbed the chrome book following after them as we made our way to the cafeteria. We looked at the available food today on the menu before queue in line.
I was scrolling through my phone as we waited in line, not even paying attention to Soobin who was goofing around behind me. He poked my sides in a joking manner which made me sent him a deadly glare. When he saw me glaring at him, he raised up his arms in surrender.
I playfully rolled my eyes at him and continue browsing on my phone, , I heard him say.
, I said without taking my eyes off my phone.
He crossed his arms over his chest,, he mumbled.
", I playfully threatened him.
He was about to reply when it was finally our turn to order, after ordering we made our way to an empty table while carrying our tray. As soon as we sat, Soobin began digging on his mashed potatoes and bread.
, i asked him.
He quickly gulped down his food, , he mumbled before taking another bite of bread.
, I reassured them while bursting into laughter.

, I heard him say.
I nudged his sides, , I nudged him, but he didn't moved a bit.
, he joked.
, I decided to play along with this little stupid game of his.
The audacity of this boy to pucker his lips into a pout,
, I decided to give him which made him burst into laughter.
, he quickly said while shaking his hand. He took a sip of his mango juice, , he questioned me.
I sighed, , I replied.
, he nudged my sides.
I playfully rolled my eyes, , I mocked him.
Soobin only chuckled before proceeding to eat his food so I decided to start eating too, but what I didn't expect was that he's gonna unexpectedly mention a name that would make me suddenly choke on my food.
, he whispered.
I widened my eyes at him and playfully smacked his chest,
, he repeated once again but much more clearer. I pretended not to hear him by squinting my eyes but it only made him shout their name even more, , he raised his voice, which made it more audible for our fellow students.
They turned their heads to look at us with their eyebrows raised, I immediately clamped Soobin's mouth with my hand. Before looking over at the rest of them, mumbling an apology while he struggled against my hold.
But I'm glad they ignored us and continued minding their own business. I'm thankful that they didn't say anything about it but continued eating their food. When Soobin saw a chance, he was able to push my hand away from him.
, he said with a serious tone.
I laughed,, I playfully rolled my eyes at him and turned away once again.
, I heard someone say while pointing from afar.

Voidsong (A NaNoWriMo 2018 winner)
Synopsys: The Empire thought humanity died, and forgot all about it. The Empire is mistaken. A Note From the Author: This story was written as a National Novel Writing Month 2018 entrant. As such, its entire 50,000+ word length was written between November 1, 2018 and November 31, 2018. Overall, I would consider this no more than a polished draft. In that vein, the chapters have no names, only numbers. Special thanks to Chronus on youtube for answering my questions on NATO radio procedures! My Apologies to the Finnish Language, which I have abused in (probably) unforgivable ways to create Twisted Empire names. If anyone is interested, break the names up by commas and toss them into your favorite translation program (I used Google Translate, and tried to avoid umlauts and other accents) for some semi bilingual boni. If I got something wrong (and I know I did… somewhere…) let me know over on reddit and I will see what I can do to fix the mistake. Lyrics, where included, are cited in footnotes.

It is supposed to be relatively relaxed for the most part. Any constructive criticism is welcome. My updates will be slower than a snail and my chapters are relatively short so deal with it please and don't murder me. Romance should come in later. Thank you~
