This person does not like their friend's behaviour.

Hi there!

It is never easy to watch your friends get involved in something negative, however, there is not much you can do to change this, aside from telling your friends that you dislike their behaviour.

Do remember to be polite and avoid being condescending while talking to them about it. If possible, don't flat out say that the boy band that they like is disgusting.

Reason with them as to why you think that the boy band isn't a good influence on them. Make them see your point of view, while, at the same time, thinking from their point of view as well. They may not know that they're behaving badly.

Another thing for you to remember is that they like the band. You may not like them, but your friends do, and people will get defensive if you point out something that they like to be bad or negative. You have to be the mature person here and try your best to be calm and collected while talking to them.

Your friends might not agree with you right away, but I trust you to be patient with them, and, sooner or later, they will understand what you're telling them.

I know it is not easy to talk to your friends about this, but discussing it with them is way better than ignoring their behaviour, because that's what friends are for: guiding each other back to the right track when one is lost.
