We're happy to help you with your problems, it's no problem dearie! Based off of what you have said, it seems like you have bagged a real keeper, so congrats on that. But of course, there is no utopian relationship and so there are problems with his opening up. My straight up advice: talk to the man! It seems like he isn't the only shy one here with the keeping feelings hidden here. If you want him to open up to you and feel less tense, open up to him as well. Any good relationship needs a key component and that is communication. Without it, eventually the relationship will crumble. I'm not saying this to scare you but I think that you should definitely put your feelings out there and that will probably beguile your boyfriend to do the same. Shyness isn't easily "cured", it takes time for someone to adjust to such a big change the way that he is. It may not seem big to you but to him it will be, so be understanding of this. With communication, patience, and TLC, you'll be set!
