This person has fallen for their best friend.

Hey! I'm so happy I got to answer this because I'm in the same boat, and, in a way, I can kind of relate to how you're feeling. How long have you known this girl? Has it been a few weeks or a few months? If it has been less than six months, I would say hold off until you get to know her better. Getting into a relationship is a HUGE commitment that requires a lot of thought. Don't just dive in head first; that's how people get hurt. If you've known her for more than six months and you're sure that she could be the one, go for it! Life is incredibly short, and if you think you'll regret not asking her out while you still could, then just do it. Even if it doesn't work out, there will be no questioning "what if I had asked her out?" because you did try. Now, about the friendship point—this is the grey zone. To understand your feelings and determine if you're ready, you have to have a deep talk with yourself and somebody you trust.

Here are some question to guide you:

1. Will it kill you to see her with someone else?

2. Are you okay with being "just a friend" to her forever?

3. Are you willing to risk your friendship for something more?

4. Are you both ready for a serious relationship? If there is any doubt in mind, hold off on asking her out until you're completely sure.
