This person does not know what they want to do after high school.

Hey,

I am sure it feels hard right now not knowing what you want to pursue as a career in the future but please do calm down and think carefully. What is meant to be, will come your way.

Now, first thing to clear up is that even if you choose a field or career you want to pursue, don't think that you can't change it later on. Or that it has to be your final decision. Life is unpredictable and you never know if your feelings towards your passion might change tomorrow, so don't think of it as a one-choice-only decision. You can and are allowed to change your field if your interest changes.

Second, as always, most people would try to look for their interests, hobbies, aspirations when choosing a career. I would recommend doing the same. Is there something that interests you? Perhaps you like sports, you could choose to pursue a specific sport or even sports health or becoming a sports manager. You like linguistics? Find a language you're interested in, creative writing or perhaps translations from one language to another. You like planes? Try looking into aviation and the different choices they have. There are limitless possibilities.

Before that, check the universities you want to apply to, their requirements and deadlines, and what majors they have so that you can also pick from those and decide! You might find something new that you haven't heard of but want to try. If you do end up narrowing your choices, search up how many years such study requires, how much effort you want to put in, what career choices will your major field give you, how much money you can earn with the career. Searching up more information will help you realize what is important to you and what isn't when choosing a career. For some, passion is more important than money; for others, time span of education should be less.

Don't be in a rush just because everyone else seems to have it all planned out. You have your own life to live, focus on yourself only and figure it out. If you need help, discuss with your family members, ask your parents for advice. Tell them your worries as well, don't bottle it all up alone. There must be teachers at school who will be willing to tell you which subject you're good at and which field might suit you, ask them for advice as well. You can ask your friends and university students what made them choose the subject they chose. They don't have to decide for you but they can help advise you. Collect such advice and reflect on what you want to do. There's no time limit on when you have to decide. You can decide on your own time. Wander around on university websites and figure out what entices you.

Let us know if we can help in any other way. Good luck!
