《Teenage Advice》Finding Courage

Hey I don't know if I already asked anything here yet I'm sorry if I did I can't remember and also sorry if you already covered this.

So lately I've been really depressed and just done with life. My mom notices but she just doesn't understand and tells me that I'm "perfect" and should try to stop feeling this way. But if I could stop I already would, I don't want this. My friends tell me I need professional help and I agree but how the hell am I supposed to tell her?? "Oh yeah btw mom im depressed and I want to kill myself??" Hahaha no. How can I gather up the courage to tell her without chickening out? What do I even say???

What do?

Signed,

Soul Howlter.

Dear Soul Howlter,

It's okay if you have or haven't asked for advice yet, in here for you!

I think you should sit down with your mom and tell her how you're feeling. She may say, " Love, you are an amazing person, this is just a phase..." And things of that nature. If she does tell her that you've been trying to feel better, but you are depressed. Your mom won't judge you, tell her that it's not her fault, and you want to get better. Maybe before you tell her, you could look up psychiatrists in your area or what ever you think could help you . You could show her different forms of help that you could get and tell her that this means a lot to you that you get the help you need. Praying about what you should say is a good idea too. Ask God to give you the courage to tell your mom.

Hope she hears you and gets you what you need.

All the love, Rose.
