I a have a little group and this one girl I Guess was mad at us or just wanted one of my friends all to her self and she told her that we were talking behind her back when we were not but she believed her and we told her we were not and she did not know who to choose so she left and made new friends but she tested our group up we are either not taking or yelling at each other and the friend that left she never smilies and she used to always smile and she always avoids eye contact. But the girl who told her that we were talking behind her still sits with us we just don't talk. This might be to confusing to answer but can you try because I am sooo confused

Dear Confused as Ever,
If I were you, (let's call your friend Emily, ) tell Emily everything that was going on. Make it to where she would have to believe you. Tell her about the other girl (let's call her Katie)! He'll her how Katie lied and you would never say anything about one of your friends behind their back! Tell her how you've noticed you haven't been seeing her smile as usually and you know she isn't as happy as she used to be you guys were friends. Ask her if you'd ever talked about any of your friends badly to her. If she says no then say, "Then why would I talk about you?"
An alternative (you could do both too) ask Katie why she lied about it, do this in front of Emily. That way she gets interested and doesn't walk away from the conversation.
