On Sunday, it was about noon when I received a message from Rin.
"Hey, it's Misaki's birthday on Friday so I'm throwing her a party on Saturday. Do you think you can make it? If you can, let me know so I can send you the address ^~^"
I read it and laughed.
"Can I bring Deidara?" I sent back.
"Of course!"
"Then I can make it."
After she sent me the address I called Deidara.
"Hello?"
"It's Tobi. Are you free next Saturday?"
"Yeah, I think so, why?" he asked.
"Remember Misaki? Rin is throwing a party for her. Come with me!" I said.
"Uh, sure, I guess. If you want," he replied.
When we hung up I sighed. I guess I was going.
Time skip to the party because writing about school sucks ^x^
The day of the party came and Deidara was going to meet me there. I just decided to put on my regular clothes, and I went on my way, following the address that Rin had gave me. I held her present that had taken me so long to choose in my hand. Rin helped me find something for her, since I knew next to nothing about Misaki. But we decided on a music box, in the shape of a cat. Inside, there was more cats standing around a girl, and when someone would wind it the cats would walk around the girl and a soft lullaby of the song "Happy Birthday" would play, and it was wrapped in a small box. Rin said she would love it, so I wasn't worried.
When I finally arrived, I knocked on the door and Rin answered it. There was music playing inside and it seemed pretty lively, which surprised me.
"Glad you could make it, Tobi," she said, smiling brightly at me.
"Oh, it's cool, but I didn't realize Misaki was into big parties like this," I told her. She laughed.
"She's not to fond of them, but she says it's alright if everyone else is having fun. Besides, she seems much more happier now," she said. She let me inside, and as I entered I looked around for Deidara. He hadn't arrived yet, but I did see Misaki in the corner of the room, looking awkward. I walked over to her.

"Happy birthday, Misaki. This here is for you," I said, handing her the box. She took it from me and looked up at me. Honestly, she was really tall, almost as tall as me, and I'm about 5'9", so she really didn't have to look up at me. But she looked at me, and she smiled, and it was the first time I saw her smile. It was so cute. "You don't have to open it right now," I said, sort of embarrassed.
"I am. You went through the trouble of getting me something, although I'm sure you had Rin's help." I looked at her and laughed nervously. "But it's okay. Because you got me something at all, thank you. And having Rin help you isn't bad, because you wanted me to like your present. So, thank you," she said happily. She was honestly not how I thought she was at all.
She opened the box and as soon as she saw the present her eyes widened.
"Th-this is..." I waited not so patiently to hear her reply. She looked at me and smiled. "Thank you, this is so cute," she said, as she opened it and the music played. She looked at the cats and smiled, when all of a sudden I felt arms around my shoulder.
"No flirting, you two~" Rin said. Misaki immediately blushed a light shade of pink.
"We weren't flirting," she said. Rin laughed.
"You're right. After all, if you were flirting, Kiba would get mad, wouldn't he?" She turned even more red.
"Oh-ho," I said. "I see what's going on," I said. Misaki shook her head.
"I-It's not-" before she could say anything else, Kiba came up to us.
"Well, Misa can flirt with who she wants," he said. I raised an eyebrow.
"It's not like I would," she said quietly. Rin laughed. Kiba took hold of her hand, and then Deidara stood next to me. He glanced at me before looking at Misaki and Kiba. He looked a little surprised.
Deidara's P.O.V
"The last time I saw you two you were fighting over dogs and cats," I said. Kiba chuckled.

"I mean, I don't really like cats," he said, glancing at Misaki, "but I do like dogs. Misa likes dogs, even if it's not as much as she likes cats, so everything's cool." Tobi laughed.
"You make a good couple," Rin said. Misaki blushed and looked down. I looked at Rin.
"So where's your boyfriend, Rin?" I asked.
"He's not here yet, but he's on his way," she replied. I nodded and she looked at me.
"Where's your girlfriend?" she asked, staring at me and smiling. My eyes widened and I looked at her.
"I-I don't have a girlfriend," I said. I glanced at Tobi discreetly. But she saw me.
"Oh? Did you think I didn't catch that look? Are you and Tobi dating?" she asked. I looked at her, shocked that she figured it out. I stayed silent and looked down at the floor, my cheeks turning red. She gasped.
"Wow! Was I right?" she asked. I didn't respond. Tobi laughed.
"Well, looks like they figured us out," he said playfully. I frowned and looked up at him.
"Why would you-"
"That's so great! I was waiting for you to finally get together," Rin replied. I looked at her, confused.
"You're not... disgusted?" I asked, looking at Kiba and Misaki as well, but they also looked as if everything was normal. Rin laughed.
"Why the hell would I be disgusted? Why is that wrong?" she asked. I shrugged.
"I-I mean-"
"Or was it that someone already treated you like it was wrong?" she asked. I looked at her. How the hell does she know everything?
"Well..." My voice trailed off and she laughed.
"Don't worry about it," she said, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Those people suck. There's nothing wrong with loving who your heart wants to love." I stared at her wide-eyed. All of a sudden Misaki burst out into laughter.
"No flirting, you two~" Kiba mocked. "Itachi will get mad." He began laughing as well and Rin took her hand off of my shoulder, looking a little embarrassed.
"Sorry. I wasn't trying to flirt..." she said. Tobi laughed.
"Well, the last time I saw you two, you were fighting," Misaki teased. I looked at her, completely baffled by how much she changed. All of a sudden I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Are you flirting with my girlfriend?" Itachi asked in a scary voice. I looked up at him.
"Um... No?" I said. I wasn't flirting with her, but he didn't sound too pleased anyways. Itachi took a step towards me. "I-I swear I wasn't!" I almost yelled. "I already have a boyfriend!" I quickly turned around and shook free from Itachi's hand and ran over to Tobi. I looked back at him, and he laughed.
"I was only joking. Don't worry about it," he said. And then more people from around the house came up to us. Ino was one of them.
"I knew it!" she said, looking between me and Tobi. I scoffed.
"Whatever," I said, looking away.
"Aw, but who knew two people that are the complete opposite would get together? One of them is serious, and mean, and the other playful and childish," someone I didn't recognize said. Tobi laughed.
"Deidara isn't as 'serious and mean' as you think. But, after all, opposite's do attract," he said.
"Hey, Tobi, are you ever going to take off your mask?"
I sighed. At least they weren't talking about us anymore.
"Hmm, I don't think so. The world isn't ready to see my beauty~" he said. I shook my head and smiled.
"Have you seen his face yet?" the person asked me.
"You idiot! Of course he has. They have kissed before, right?"
"How do you know?"
"Well, usually people that are dating kiss," she replied. They turned to me.
"Have you guys kissed?"
