I'm really sorry for making everyone wait for this chapter for so long! As thanks for everyone waiting for so much time, here's sort of a longy, so get comfortable! :)

"A... date?" Deidara asked. I nodded. I watched as he looked away bashfully, and I laughed. "Is that a yes?"

"W-Well, the way you said it, it was more of a statement, so how am I supposed to respond?" he said, sounding shy.

"Well I mean, I guess it was a question? Will you go on a date with me?" I asked, a little confused.

"Um, yeah. Of course." I smiled under my mask.

"Great. Come on," I said, watching as he went into the bathroom. I sighed and sat back down on the couch, putting my shoes on. I stood up and Deidara walked out.

"I wish you didn't have to wear that mask," he said. I nodded.

"I do too. It's really stuffy, but we're going out into the public, so I have to." Deidara sighed and I laughed. "But don't worry about that. Let's go!" I said in my childish voice, walking to the door and opening it. I opened it for Deidara, and he looked at me as he walked out.

"Why do you treat me like a girl?" he asked, looking a little cross. I walked out after him and locked the door. I turned to him.

"Well I'm definitely not the submissive one." Deidara frowned.

"Oh hell no, I am not the submissive one!" he exclaimed. I laughed. "Don't laugh! I'm not!"

"Okay, so it's not me, but it's not you," I said, "then who is it gonna be?"

"We don't have to figure that out yet," he said. I smirked.

"So then when?" I asked. His face turned bright red. "You see? You might not be very submissive but you're a lot more shy," I said.

"W-Well that's only because you say things like that!" he exclaimed.

"Like what?"

"Like... like that!" he replied.

"But hey, you're shy, and you look like a girl, so you should be submissive," I told him. He shook his head.

"I do not look like a girl!" he exclaimed. "If I did... Would that mean that you're actually straight? And you like me because I look like a girl?" I chuckled.

"Not at all. I like you because of your personality, because of who you are. Not for your looks. You hardly look like a girl anyways." Deidara frowned.

"So then why are you saying I do?!"

"You look like a girl more than I do, that's good enough."

"Whatever," he said, turning away and walking down the stairs. I followed after him quickly, matching his fast pace.

"Geez Deidara, are you trying to leave me?!" I asked, pretending to sound hurt in my childish voice. He nodded.

"Yes. Because you're calling me a girl. And because you're slow," he said, walking a little faster. I pouted.

"You don't have to be so mean!" I walked after him until we reached the sidewalk.

"Where are we going?" Deidara asked. I laughed.

"It's a surprise, but follow me. We're going on the train," I said, picking up his hand and immediately dropping it.

"Tobi?"

"Do you still have that tongue thing in your hand?" I asked. He laughed and brought up his hand. The tongue fell out of the line in his hand and I jumped back.

"How do you even have that?" I asked.

"My clan." (TOTALLY UNTRUE)

"Can you use it to eat?!" I asked. He looked at me as if I was crazy.

"No. It's only for my art," he said. He put his hand into the little bag he had on his belt. He reached his other hand towards mine, and I looked at it hesitantly.

"It's not gonna bite you. I can control it," he said, chuckling. "And plus, you have gloves on." I laughed.

"Okay, I guess," I said, letting him grab my hand. I could feel the warmth of Deidara's hand seeping through my thin glove and I felt my face heat up, but I ignored it and turned, beginning to walk towards the train.

When we finally arrived, I bought our tickets and we waited for the next train. We sat down on a bench, waiting.

"Tobi," Deidara said. I looked at him.

"Yeah?" I asked. He took his hand out of his bag and he brought his closed fist over his lap. He looked at me and quickly looked away again.

"Um, here..." he stretched out his arm towards me and his fist opened, and there were two little figurines. It was me, with my mask, and Deidara, his one showing eye closed and his mouth turned up in a huge grin. And we were holding hands. I turned to look at my mask again, and my eyes widened. The clay wasn't painted, it was gray, and I blinked. A wave of nostalgia washed over me and something flickered in my mind. A memory, but why now?

I was walking, walking towards my house. Or somebody's house. Before I got there I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and there were two people there. If you could even call them people. They were both a gray-ish color, like clay. One had sort of green looking hair and orange eyes, and the other one was all gray. And his face, he had no face, instead a mask-looking thing, a mask that looked like mine, but in a gray version. Like Deidara's clay.

"Hey there!" he said, waving his hand. I felt myself frown.

"Who are you?" I asked. The one with orange eyes laughed.

"You're not very friendly, are you?" he said. I didn't reply, and the guy with my mask as his face laughed.

"Aw, don't be like that! How are you going to make friends? No one will like you with that attitude."

"Tobi!" My eyes widened when I heard Deidara's loud voice break through my thoughts. I looked at him and my eyes widened.

The guy, the clay guy with the same face as my mask, he had my same voice, the same atmosphere I used to give off. I was really confused.

"Tobi, are you okay?" he asked. I looked at him again.

"Um. Yeah, I'm fine." I looked at his still outstretched hand. I took the clay figures. "Thanks!" I said cheerfully.

"Yeah. Well, I really shouldn't be wasting my clay on something like this, but..." his voice trailed off and I looked at the figures again.

"This is your clay?" I asked, suddenly dropping it. He nodded. "Does that mean that it's going to explode?" I asked.

"No. It's only explosive when I infuse chakra into it. Don't worry, I didn't," he said. I looked at him.

"Are you sure?" I asked, picking it back up. He nodded. I put the figure in my pocket.

"Thank you, I really like it," I said sincerely. He blushed a little and looked away.

"Uh-huh."

Deidara's P.O.V

When the train arrived, Tobi stood up. I stood up after him and we approached the train's doors. It was really full, and people were struggling to get out and get in. Once it was a little less crowded around the doors, we went in. The train was packed. It was full and people were squeezed in between each other. I looked at Tobi uncomfortably as we entered and were immediately pushed against each other. His back was against a wall, and my back was against his stomach. I felt his heartbeat speed up and I felt his body heat radiating into my back. I felt my heart beating quickly, and I began getting worried that he would be able to hear it. My eyes widened as he suddenly leaned down and whispered in my ear.

"Relax." My eyes widened and I tensed up even more. I couldn't see him, but I knew he was shaking his head. All of a sudden I felt arms around my waist. He was hugging me from behind, and I started to feel like my face was going to melt off. No one could see how he was hugging me, because of how packed it was. But I felt it and I was nervous.

I looked over my shoulder, and I was surprised to see his face not too far from mine. I could see his eye through the hole of his mask, and it stared straight into mine. I scowled.

"Aw, Deidara, that face you're making is so cute," he said quietly. I shook my head.

"You tell me to relax but you hug me. What kind of logic is that?" I whispered back. He chuckled.

"Well you weren't going to relax anyways, so what's the harm?" I looked at him.

We stayed like that until the train stopped at a station and Tobi let his arms fall from my waist. A lot of people exited the train and we waited until we were the last people around the door. We left the train and I felt my heart slow down. I felt relieved. I was certain Tobi could feel how fast my heart was beating.

I smirked. Well, it was the same with him, anyways. His heart was beating fast, too.

"What are you laughing about?" Tobi asked, his low voice quiet so no one around could hear him.

"Well, I'm over here acting all sheepish, when you know damn well that you were as nervous as I was." He glanced at me. I expected him to completely deny it, but he surprised me by turning away and shrugging. His voice returned to his deceiving high voice.

"Yeah, I was nervous. Who wouldn't be, pressed against someone they love, how I was?" My eyes widened.

"Wait, what?" I asked. "You were nervous?" He laughed.

"Well, yeah. I mean, you were too. And I bet you could feel how my heart was beating, since I could feel yours. And let me tell you, yours was beating way faster than mine," he said. My face began to heat up again and he chuckled. We continued walking until we arrived at a cafe. I looked up to the name of the cafe and my eyes widened.

"Huh?! Why are we here?" I asked. Tobi laughed.

"I don't know. I thought that the last time we were here, things were... memorable. Plus, this is the first place you said you thought I was hot!" he exclaimed immaturely. My face heated up for the thousandth time.

"Wha- You heard me?!" he asked.

"Of course. You weren't very quiet. How do you think Ino heard you?" I shrugged. He sighed and shook his head. He opened the door, and I entered first without thinking about it. Tobi smirked. I looked at him but before I could say anything I heard a high voice in front of me.

"Welcome home, masters," the girl with blond hair said. I looked back at Tobi who had entered and shut the door. The girl took us to a table for two, and after she gave us the menu she left to go greet another customer.

I looked at Tobi as he skimmed the menu. It was the breakfast menu, since we came early.

"Hmm..." I looked at my own menu, looking at all the options.

After a few minutes passed I looked up at Tobi who had set his menu down.

"What are you getting?" I asked.

"Just regular pancakes and french toast. Maybe tea," he said. I nodded.

"I'll get that too, then."

A different maid came to our table when we were ready to order, but she seemed a little familiar. As soon as she saw us a smile lit up her face.

--

Rin's P.O.V (for my dearest cousin :)

"Hey! Weren't you guys here the other day?" I asked. The two boys looked at me.

"Yes we were," The guy with the mask said. I smiled.

"Yeah, and your name was... um..." I laughed nervously. I'm such an idiot. How could I forgot when I was corrected twice?!

"Tobi," he said. I laughed.

"Oh, yeah! I don't know if you guys forgot, but I'm Rin," I said.

"I'm Deidara," the blonde told me, and I laughed, relieved he told me before I got into trouble again.

"Yeah, I remember you, I think," I said. He sighed and I laughed cheerfully.

"So, what would you like to order, masters?"

After I wrote down their orders, I walked back to the kitchen and gave the piece of paper to the chef. As I was walking back out to get more orders, I walked past the back door when it suddenly opened, and someone pulled me out. I gasped and turned, and there was Misa. She was a blushing mess, and she had a troubled expression on her face, which was really unusual. She always had that indifferent demeanor, so I was really surprised.

"Misa? Are you okay?" I asked, a little concerned. She nodded. Then she shook her head. I sighed. No one really knew, but she was a little indecisive.

"Well, yeah... I mean, not really, but... um, do you remember Kiba?" she asked. My face lit up.

"Oh yeah, the guy with um, the... the cat? Or was it-"

"The dog," she responded, cutting me off. I laughed nervously.

"Oh, yeah! What about him?" I asked.

"Well, um, before we left that guy's house, he asked for my number, and well... he messaged me today, and..."

"Misa! What is it? You are really bad at stalling. Tell me!" I responded. Her face turned bright red and she looked away, handing me her phone at the same time. I took the phone and the screen was on messages, and there was a message from an unknown number.

"Hey, this is Kiba, from Tobi's house. Remember me? I know we don't really know each other, so I was wondering if you wanted to meet up tomorrow! I mean, the two of us only, like a date!"

I gasped.

"Misa!" I exclaimed. Her eyes were squeezed shut and her face was as red as a tomato. "What are you gonna say?"

"Well, um, that's why I want your advice. So you can tell me what I should say!" she replied. I looked at her.

"Well, it's your decision to make, you know?"

"I know, but... I don't know. I mean, I should say no. I don't have time for that," she said, taking her phone from my hands. She began typing but suddenly stopped. "But, I've never been on a date, so maybe I..." She deleted everything that she had wrote and started typing again. Then she stopped. "But I am student council president, so I won't have any free time, I have a bunch of work-"

"Misa! You're wasting a bunch of time thinking this over already! Might as well say yes," I told her.

"You're right. Okay," she said firmly. She deleted everything and typed in a reply. When she finished she looked it over. "Actually, maybe not-" before she could do anything I took the phone from her and quickly pressed send. Misa looked at me, horrified.

"What did you do that for?! Oh no, now I have to go outside somewhere! And ditch all of my work! And leave my cozy house! And not be inside!" I sighed as she continued rambling.

"Stop being such an introvert," I told her. She sighed.

"I can't change and suddenly be an extrovert. I'm quiet, I'm an introvert. It's just how I am. But actually, people do change, right? Like, a person can change the way they are, right?" she asked. I sighed deeply.

"Actually, you're right. People don't change. Stay an introvert forever," I told her.

"Why?" she asked.

"Because if you suddenly became an extrovert, you'd be 'talk, talk, talk' and I won't be able to handle all of your rambling!" I told her. She sighed.

"I have a reason to ramble. First of all, I think I'm taller than Kiba!" she said. I laughed.

"No, I think he's the same height as you. You're 5'7, right?"

"Yes."

"Well, just avoid wearing high heels!" I laughed.

"Not funny," she said.

"Well, you're just too tall!" I told her. She shook her head.

"You're just too short. 5'3, at 16? That's short."

"Not at all! Many girls are 5'3."

"Whatever. But actually, I have to tell you something," she said, turning serious.

"What is it?"

"Well... um... I'm moving," she said. My eyes widened.

"What?! To where?! Out of town? Out of country?" Misa laughed.

"No. In town. But, I'm moving near a different school then where we're currently at."

"Which school? Konoha High?"

"Yeah." I sighed in relief.

"Oh, that's awesome. I'll just change schools with you!"

"Are you sure you want to? I mean, don't you have a lot of friends?"

"Yeah, but you're my best friend, so of course I'll follow you wherever you go!"

--

Tobi's P.O.V

Tobi ordered for us, and when Rin left I looked at Tobi.

"There you go, treating me like a girl again."

"I am not treating you like a girl! It's just that you get embarrassed easily, so I thought I would order food for us so you can, um, not be embarrassed?" he said, sounding a little confused. I laughed.

"Whatever."

We sat in silence for a good twenty minutes before Rin finally arrived.

I watched as she set down our "regular" breakfast meal.

Decorative was an understatement.

There were five pancakes on each of our plates. They were in heart shapes, and in between each one was a layer of jam and all types of berries. Maple syrup hung off the pancakes and on top there was whip cream outlining the heart. The pancake itself was dusted in pink sprinkles, and strawberries covered the top. The french toast was stuffed with grape jam, and they were stocked on top of each other, making it look like a staircase, with strawberries walking down. The tea was normal tea, thankfully.

I looked at Tobi, who was staring at his food.

--

Tobi's P.O.V

I was looking at my food with great aw. I looked up and noticed Deidara was staring at me.

"Let's eat!" I said. He smiled and looked at his food. He picked up his fork and began cutting at the pancakes. I followed his lead and soon we were finished eating.

After arguing for a while on who was paying, I left the money on the table and we exited the cafe.

After we walked a bit more, we finally arrived at our next destination.

--

Deidara's P.O.V

My eyes widened when we arrived at the annual zoo. It only came once a year, lasting four days. But Tobi was new to the town, so how did he know about it? I looked at him and he laughed.

"Come on!" he said, grabbing my hand and pulling me to the entrance of the zoo.

When we entered, the lively atmosphere hit us. Families, couples, and groups of friends gathered around cages and fences.

We looked around a bit, and I saw a petting area, and there were horses, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas, pigs and donkeys, and small animals like guinea pigs and rabbits. Tobi saw me eyeing it.

"Oh! I want to pet animals," he said. I looked at him and smiled.

After about two hours at the zoo we left and began our walk back to the train. I looked at Tobi and smiled. Before I could say anything, though, I heard a gasp. I turned to see who had gasped, and was surprised to see Sakura.

--

Tobi's P.O.V

I looked down and saw Sakura, a few yards in front of us, staring straight at us. She looked surprised.

"Oh, hey Sakura!" I called out, waving at her. Deidara elbowed me.

"What are you doing?" he whispered.

"She saw us already, and she knows we saw her," I whispered back just as Sakura arrived in front of us.

"What are you guys doing?" she asked, sounding a little confused. I shrugged.

"We saw each other, so we decided to walk together, that's all," I said. Sakura looked at me.

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yes we're sure. Now get lost, pinky," Deidara scowled. Sakura glared at him.

"What if I don't want to?" she asked.

"No one cares about what you 'want,'" he replied. I shook my head.

"Stop it, guys. Deidara, you shouldn't talk to girls like that," I said.

"Well it's her fault for messing with us," he responded.

"Wow, Deidara, you seem a bit overprotective there," Sakura said.

"So what if I am?" he spat back.

"Tobi likes someone, so you don't have a chance."

I saw Deidara's face turn red, not in embarrassment, but in anger.
