"Where are we?", Naruto asks his frog companions.

"Whats going on Ma? I thought you summoned us at the Leaf Village?"

"We are at Hidden Leaf Village."

Naruto's expression of confusion turned into shock when he heard that statement.

I hope you're alright Hanako-chan.

He shakes his head, reassuring himself that Hanako is safe and sound. The blonde tries not to worry about the girl too much and focus on his mission.

Hanako-chan wouldn't like it if I screw this up because I was thinking about her too much.

The boy frowns in anger when he realized who did this, and he will make sure that Pain will pay for what he did to his master and his village.

The fog finally cleared up. Hanako tried to stand up but it she couldn't. She lays down in exhaustion, frowning that she can't do anything.

"Hanako-chan!", a voice shouted, the Shinozaki whips her head to look at the direction where that voice came from.

"Sakura-chan!", she cries out, "Can you help me stand up?"

"Of course, let me help you.", Sakura immediately heals Hanako's injuries as much as she can.

"That's enough, I can stand now. Save your chakra for those who truly need it, okay?", Hanako tells her, the pink-haired girl nodded in response.

"That's... Naruto!", a person exclaimed.

"Naruto?!", Sakura says in disbelief, she looks at her friend, seeking for her reaction.

"I felt his chakra when I opened my eyes earlier, it is him."

Naruto, please be safe.

Suddenly, a large frog came jumping down towards their area, holding a certain blonde Hokage.

"Tsunade-sama!", Hanako quickly ran to her, wincing at the pain of moving.

Tsunade looked tired and beat, which made her two pupils frown. The frog sat her down carefully.

"Sakura, Hanako. Everything is okay now.", Tsunade managed to say. Hanako tears up, looking away from the sight.

She must've done everything she can to protect everyone.

Sakura held both of Tsunade's hands while saying, "Thank you, Tsunade-sama."

Hanako's mind was clouded with anxious thoughts. Violence was rampant in her life when she left her clan but it was never this big. She was getting overwhelmed with the mixed emotions ghat she was feeling. She held on to her necklace, which was luckily still attached after the massive blow that took place.

Suddenly, her body began to sweat, goosebumps were all over, and the waves that she was feeling earlier came back.

Naruto!

"I have to go.", Hanako announces and quickly runs to the battlefield before Sakura could grab ahold of her.

Gomen, Sakura-chan, but there's something wrong.

I can feel Pain's chakra coming into my body.

Naruto thinks before hearing Pain say, "I guess I'll be taking you now."

"Hya!", a certain Shinozaki shouted before lifting her leg and breaking the ground, creating distance between Pain and Naruto.

Fucking bastard, pinning Naruto-kun down like this.

Hanako crosses her arms, "Don't you dare think that you can lay another hand on him.", she says.

"Hanako-chan! What're you doing! Get out of here!", Naruto shouts at her.

"So the battery offers herself to me.", Pain says, "You were quite a hassle to track down. I can't even sense your chakra."

"Why are you putting yourself in danger?!", Naruto shouts in anger, "I told you and everyone else to stand back! Why are you doing this?!", Hanako hears from the blonde, it was the first time she heard Naruto so angry at her.

"Don't shout at me to stop because I won't!", she retorts with an angry tone as well, "I care about you Naruto, I care about you a lot.", Hanako says before preparing herself to fight. Naruto's eyes widened at Hanako's words, remembering the conversation that they had before.

"And I won't watch you die when you promised me you won't!", Hanako lifts her leg and slams it against the metal rod, causing it to break. This alarmed Pain, but he observes her movements before creating his own.

"Hya!", Hanako focuses a large amount of chakra to her fist and lands in to the rods, causing three of it to break off. She jumps as high as she can and twists her body to create a last blow, but to her dismay, her body was pushed hard, by an invisible force, causing her to crash and roll on the ground.

"Not so fast.", Pain says.

She can feel the blood coming out of her head due to the attack, she can taste the blood on her mouth. Despite this, she stands up and runs towards Pain. With a high jump, Hanako raises her hands and feeling the energy in her palm, creating a shield that was similar to the one that she did with the explosion. This jutsu caught Pain off-guard, which was an opening to the Shinozaki to quickly release herself from the shield.

She wraps her legs around Pain's neck before leaning back and letting his body crash on the ground. Naruto watches in awe, he has never seen those movements executed before.

Not letting any second come to waste, Hanako quickly runs to Naruto, to continue the final blow. Suddenly, her body began to be pulled up by the same force that pushed her earlier.

Pain lets her body crash to the ground. Hanako desperately tries to create the shield that she was capable to do but the enemy's force was too fast, it couldn't form. As she thought it was done, her body was once again pulled up and pushed back down, which caused the Shinozaki to pass out.

"Hanako!"

"Hanako, listen very carefully.", Hanako opens her eyes and sees her father crouching in front of her.

"You are getting stronger, my child.", he says with a smile, "The more you and I grow older, the weaker I get, and the stronger you become."

"As you can see, my hair is turning into black, while yours grow brighter.", he motions to his hair, "But that's how it goes."

"The energy inside of you, your chakra, needs to be hidden away, or else, the enemies of our clan can track us down.", he explains, "You must wear this."

"But that's yours, Otto-san.", Hanako says.

"Yes, and now, I pass it to you. It conceals your chakra but decreases your powers drastically.", Hanako looks in awe at her father, he carefully places it around her neck.

Hanako could feel like she has gotten weaker, her legs gave out causing a loud thump.

"You'll get used to it. When we train, you take it off. Understood?"

"Yes Sir!", Hanako says in response.

"Onee-san! C'mon I made eggs!", Giro says cheerfully.

"Alright buddy, let's go!"

"Hanako.", her mother calls her.

"I'm here, Oka-san!"

"Hanako.", her mother and father says in unison, making the young girl confused.

"Hanako."

a familiar voice boomed.

Her head pounded, she touches it in pain, feeling a wet substance. She takes a look at the hand and saw blood.

"What's happening?"

Her vision blurs as she falls back. A bright light shined through her eyes causing her to close it. After how many seconds, she opens and sees the ground that she was laying on.

"Hanako-chan!", Naruto smiles in relief, with tears on his eyes, as he sees the girl open her eyes.

"Naruto! Watch ou—", Hanako's body was once again pulled up, she waited for the ground but it never came.

"You are stubborn.", Pain says in annoyance.

"Let me fucking go!", Hanako shouts in rage.

"A fighter, indeed."

Hanako frowns, I will not be a burden.

"You think you can get rid of me that quick?", Hanako says before grabbing her necklace and removing it. She feels power surge to her veins, and it felt good. It was like a missing piece was brought back to her. A loud boom that resembled a thunder was heard while a bright light envelopes the whole area.

Naruto gasps as sight when the light finally disappeared, revealing the Shinozaki with the same glowing scales and black hair that he once saw on their mission back then.

With a smirk on her face, Hanako says as her arms get wrapped in water,
