Naru pov
the next day I woke up tired and dispelled my clone there had apparently been samurai soldiers trying to get into our room last night but my clone dealt with them.
I walked into the bathroom undressing and having a shower still in my naru persona my body still however held the scars from my past despite my best genjutsu attempts to hide them.
I ran my fingers along some of them stopping at the one over my heart. This scar had caused a nearly unbreakable friendship between me and itachi.
Shaking myself out of the flash back that caused I turned the shower off and got dressed in my white long sleeve shirt my navy blue hoodie from kiyoshi and my navy blue ninja pants and white ninja sandals.
My caramel hair was as usual perfect because it wasn't real just an illusion I stopped for a moment my real hair hasn't been cut for over a year its probably really long now...
Forcefully forgetting that thought I walked to sora the chakra in my feet making me absolutely silent all the while being mindful of the other sleeping anbu in the room.
I shook sora awake and as he had begun getting used to this sprung up and we left the room into the kitchen in the small apartment we were all in.
I grinned to him and he grinned back we began scheming after all we had more victims today than usual.
In the next 20 mins we had created the most elaborate trap using soras chakra string which only my personal team knew about instantly ensuring the other anbu were doomed and I used ramas chakra to create another version of the chakra web around haku and zabuza.
This chakra string was special just as the other chakra string it needed a certain amount of chakra to not break it however my chakra string needed a hell of a lot of chakra to not break it. This meant that as my team knew about the string they would use as little chakra as possible and instantly break the sting as it is the exact opposite
It worked exactly as planned and all of the other anbu walked into the kitchen covered in neon slime smelling strongly of soap
they don't smell like blood anymore so thats a positive...
With a grin I hi fived sora and sent everyone else off to the showers. The new anbu team were pissed but couldn't do anything because I was the team leader
After I made breakfast with haku who I was slowly beginning to realise loved cooking and ate it I put on my anbu gear making sure to remind my team to bring their weapons my own anbu katana slung lazily across my back.

Inu was the same however I was just now noticing the book he was holding and after reading the front of it I scowled and summoning my chakra sent a whip of nine tails chakra at his book the heat of the chakra so high the book crumbled into ashes immediately he paled.
I nodded satisfied and sent the anbu hand signs to go, I went and they followed as we made our way to the samurai we would be teaching.
I stopped at the exit of the house and digging into one of my sealing scrolls I brought out a sealing brush.
Grimacing I lifted my shirt holding it up with my teeth I ignored how visible my scars were to everyone including the new anbu team and set about creating a temperature seal on my chest which would keep my body warm.
Once I pumped chakra into it and was satisfied I didn't explode I walked up to the closest of my anbu team haku and dipped my brush into the ink pointedly.
He lifted his shirt and I applied the seal and as he pumped chakra into it he sighed in relief and thanked me.
I headed through my team and soon we were all rather warm, as I walked to the other anbu group I was hesitant should I offer them or would that seem rude...
I dipped my brush in the ink anyway and stood in front of sparrow who turned his head away from me and lifted his shirt.
I carefully applied the seal extremely jittery at being so close to someone I didn't know and for sure didn't trust.
I breathed a sigh of relief as I stepped away from the other anbu. Turning my back to them I sealed my ink and Brush and we ran through the blizzard outside to find the head of the samurai village.
He told us of how the village had gone through a rough winter recently and lost many of its members to famine and how the skill of the current samurai wasn't enough to hold back the ninja that usually attack them.
I nodded and as we went into their training dojo. I smirked as I saw it empty and completely ignored the questions and its a trap vibe coming from the group and eagerly followed the leader (yuji-sama)Down a secret flight of stairs where I could hear training coming from .
a secret base under a base is soo cool I thought.
With glance I could tell the bunker room was strategically created with at least fifteen exits but only one entry.
I hardened my eyes under my mask and reaffirmed my genjutsu.

I straightened my back as yuji-sama left and called loudly "everyone line up its time to train!!!" Needless to say they did as they were told.
My team also lined up and my ire at seeing the extra leaf team standing behind me like they were above training rose.
I could see several samurai irritated and staring at them and I could see the distaste in zabuzas eyes.
I walked over to them as I drew close I spoke threateningly "are you injured?"
They all replied confused "no general fox" and I growled as zabuza and several of the samurai sent their killing intent at the team.
"If your not injured the what are you doing? Because if you don't get in line in the next two seconds I will personally take you off the mission"
I heard sparrow scoff at me and Rama sensei was getting mad. "You think I need to train under you if anything I should be training them. Who do you think you are telling me and MY team what to do" he said and I barely withheld Rama from ripping him to pieces, she could do it too as there is no longer any seal. his team were looking conflicted and I reigned in my temper.
I frowned as his words hurt I nodded simply and turned to the rest of his team, "do you both feel the same?" I asked
And thankfully Inu stood and went into line lazily his silver strangely standing on end hair practically glowing in a sea of black hair.
I nodded to him and he nodded back the other, tenzo, was I could tell still low on chakra so I tossed him a soldier pill and sent him back to our rooms.
The leader sparrow however was not getting any special treatment as there was nothing at all wrong with him.
Looking him in the eye I turned away from him and turned to my trainees. "How many of you know the basics of chakra?" I called to them
Thankfully they all raised their hands "how many of you know justus?" I asked around 52 of the 200 samurai raised their hands along with my team and inu.
Separating them from the rest I gave each of them ten (except inu who I made a clone for and led him away to train) and the extra twenty was given to zabuza the extra two given to each sora and haku.
I turned to the rest of them from that moment till 9 o'clock at night I was giving a lecture with my genjutsu voice. I explained how chakra was made and the different ways we can manipulate and what happens if we manipulate it this way ect.
I sighed it was to be a trying week.
My team had each evaluated their groups skill, discovered their chakra types and decided the easiest way to train them.
Today was only a set up for hell that the samurai would be in for the next week.
As the third day went on my group learned their first justu and to make sure each person had a justu that non of the other samurai had I made around 150 clones all of which took a person and mentally connecting themselves to the other clones decided what justu to teach them.
That day they mastered their first jutsu and the next day they learned another two and soon the forces of samurai could cover every element and every scenario if massed together.
I smirked as I recieved my clones memories. There were two days left of training and I planned to teach them team work.
Each samurais jutsu element was specifically placed in a group with every other element allowing the groups of samurai to make combo moves and swap opponents to their advantage.
I taught them all finally on my last day there a sealing technique, specifically how to do the gravity seal.
By the end of the day they had all learned how to do it with my clones flitting up and down the lines of samurais fixing mistakes and correcting samurai.
The end of the day I carefully watched as the samurai placed the gravity seal on each other.
I then popped all my clones and finally the one training inu which wasn't popped the whole week (who was joined by tenzo the day after I began training) and learned that I had taught inu how to effectively use his lightning element to speed him up and we had begun making a lightning jutsu that amassed in the hand.
Eventually the technique was to become an assassination technique but first the chirping bird sound had to be fixed.
Tenzo learned how to amass chakra in his unique wood element making it sturdy enough a shield and allowing him to have a storage of chakra for when he needed it.
We had created a band of wood around his wrist that he could pump chakra into and take it out when he needed it.
We ultimately left happy with the progress of the samurai the only thing left to for now was to get home preferably without another massacre.

Virtuous Sons
The saying goes that when a man is born the Fates weave his destiny and swaddle him in it. Then one day the man dies, and the swaddle becomes a shroud. Heaven moves on. It is audacity to question the Fates. Olympus is Olympus. The land of men is the land of men. To transgress that, to cross the line of divinity and scale Olympus Mons? To defy the Fates and cast off their threads? That is hubris. It’s a mark that every philosopher bears plainly on their soul. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Tower Must Fall - Combat Gardener
If you're interested in a conceptual, ground-up rewrite leave a comment and tell me what you loved about it. I've got a pretty good idea of what everyone hated so there's no need for expounding on that. Gardener? A support class? This can't be! What was all my hard work for? Forget this world. Forget the System. Even if I'm a lowly support class, I'll take on the Tower and take them all down! Since the System appeared one hundred years ago, humanity has been divided into three: combat classes, intellectual classes, and support classes. Assigned at the moment of high school graduation, one's class determines their future. Rowan wanted the most out of life. A combat class, an intellectual class, either would be fine. When he is instead assigned a support class, Gardener, he notices the System is completely rigged against support classes. Refusing to give up on his dream of realizing his future by his own terms, Rowan challenges the Tower, the seat of the System and home of the Hero-King, in hopes of bringing the entire System to its knees. Season One complete. Permanent Hiatus, Pending Rewrite. Important notes: -LitRPG fantasy -Rowan is not perfect. He's got flaws, emotions, and personal issues to work through. If you want a perfect, overpowered MC who makes the right decision every time, this is NOT the work for you. -This story opens with a negative situation and an emotional growth arc for the main character. Please don't review until chapter 30 because the arc is not complete until that chapter. (Chapters are short, that's an average RR book's chapter 10) -No harem, no rape, no isekai, no romance -Questions? Please ask!

Curious Tales: Assorted Fantastical Fiction
These are a collection of my short stories which don't feature gender bending front and center but do involve horrors, fantastical delights, and weird surprises. They may involve something as simple as a house on a swamp overlooking the dreams of the past or a byzantine battle between time travelers for what they see as the "right" timeline. And be as shiver-inducing as being locked in a school at night with disembodied shadows or as sweet as an old stuffed animal with a special secret.
