the pain of the clones was almost like a mind splitting migraine, that demanded most of my attention and made it very difficult to focus on anything else.
four thousand of my clones had been out for a whole month and a half, it wasn't a matter of training anymore, I was generally worried about them popping.
if a single clone popped all the memories it made in a whole month and a half would be sent into my own head.
if the pain in my head now was any indication popping them would be VERY, VERY bad.
/xo/xo/
to me it seemed my hands were almost glued to the side of my head now trying to ease some of the pain as I tried my best not to show the pain on my features.
I forced the pain to the back of my mind as I stood concentrating on the genjutsu that I used to disguise myself as Naru.
as soon as that was over I stumbled over to my wardrobe and grabbed the clothes I kept to fit this larger form.
a simple white shirt Kiyoshi's hoodie and some smokey grey ninja pants along with my standard white sandals.
leaving the small and still dingy apartment I, once again shadow stepped to my old home and as i was in NO mood for screaming kids today (despite their good intentions ) pinned three quarters of my weekly anbu pay to the door along with a hastily written letter, with a kunai.
hey Guys, I can't stop today however this money is to help you guys pay for food and clothes (yes queeni i know you're short on money these days)
here are the older kids training excersises for the week.
I attached a range of chakra excersises and meditation to the bottom of the page knowing, the kids would be even more upset if I didn't at least bring them their weekly training schedule.

a wave of stinging pain flashed through my head and I once again released more chakra out to the clones, who were still training and gathering information.
I was seriously low on chakra and I have a double s class mission today ...
as the ninja standards go S stands for secret two s's stand for super secret and three s's stand for suicidal super secret.
secret missions and above were only handed to the most qualified solo ninja, or ninja teams.
zoning back in I went to notify the team, while also conserving chakra by using only physical energy no chakra.
I grinned when I walked in on itachi and shisui kissing, a week ago Rama-sensei all but forced them to get together, by chakra linking there minds together for a week and a half.
because of this shisui would hear what itachi thought and vice versa, meaning if either thought the other was pretty or looked good the other would know.
it wasn't long after that, that they both realised they liked each other and got together.
//////
running a hand up to my temple I attempted to massage away the pain in my head, smiling at the couple I threw a kunai at itachi's head with the mission details and left to pack for the gate.
sensing behind me I noticed itachi lazily catch the kunai on his finger before I teleported away to pack for the trip.
the mission was to find out how a man who had an ability to seemingly "see" the future and was giving this information to rebel groups in kiragkure...
its estimated time to be finished was around eight months, after all we have to locate him first, then we have to find out how he does it and finally we have to stop it.

this mission could very well be another of the hundreds of assassination missions our team has been on.
/// far far away\
"this is the twelfth fight i've been made to fight this week, It wasn't long after i woke up that the people who run the joint came in.
they all had these masks with no colour just completely blank white masks, to be honest it kind of un-nerved me"
they were from the village hidden in the rain if there scratched out forehead protectors were anything to go by.
as soon as i could stand they shoved me through a door and into a room with a whole lot of kids around my age beating the shit out of punching bags and throwing shuriken at targets.
i even saw a few people completely disappear before reappearing on the same spot.to be honest it looked like some kind of training room.
glancing over at the people behind me i barely ducked in time to dodge a decapitating blow from behind.
cursing myself i jumped away from the offender "Rule one of Dorei supai, attack until one is severely injured or dies.
i frowned this certainly wasn't any fun and they certainly weren't joking either, all i could do now was survive the onslaught of attacks from the blank masked people.
whatever the future held I would do all i could to get back to naru-nii and the others.

It Started with Slime
Before we jump in, let me say that the MC starts stupid, so the language and writing style is straightforward to reflect this. The writing improves with the MC and as the chapters progress (I hope). It is also a gradual growth story, so no zero to hero in ten seconds... with that out of the way: An alchemical experiment has gone wrong and results in a Slime Monster. It doesn't have a name at first and is something that it will need to work out! This story follows a Slime that starts as a Micro Slime with some level of consciousness, and there is more to it than meets the eye. Survival is the name of the game. To improve, it works hard to grow, evolve and become more powerful to survive its harsh new reality. There is a lot more going, and only time will tell if this Slime (all its various versions) can become strong enough to make it through the strife to the other side. It's a harsh world, after all. It Started with Slime is a story with a Monster Protagonist Evolution story. There will be no profanity and no sexual content, and there will be some violence and fighting descriptions. I am a native English speaker, and so the English here should be to a good standard. That said, even though editing, there may be some corrections and typos, so if you see some, let me know! If it bothers you a lot, I am working to make sure all chapters have no typos, but of course, some might slip through. I will endeavour to correct any picked up, though! Also, I started this a few months ago and so any feedback is always appreciated, also reviews and ratings! If you like or don't like the story, let me know in the detailed reviews! That always helps me see what is good and what needs improving. Working on releasing chapters twice a week, I will try to increase that as time goes, but at the moment, that is what I can release. Patreon has more. If the story gets more popular, then I will increase the releases. I am aiming ultimately for a chapter a day if I can get to that. Chapters are roughly 1500 words, with Interludes every five chapters being more or less than that! Enjoy! Edit: Book 1 finished on Patreon, and the format for Book 2 is slightly different with Interludes every three chapters, and the release schedule will be three chapters a week.
