《Is it worth it? (Naruto fanfic)》xoxoOTOTOxoxo

the next day i rose from bed with a silent groan and a mental note to not summon Rama-sensie for training ever again.
shaking the aches out of my muscles I got dressed into a long sleeve white shirt, kiyoshi's hoodie and a pair of black ninja pants. my sandals were white.
taking a deep breath i readied myself for the day ahead already feeling the ache that came from having too many clones out for too long a time.
after our extensive physical training Rama-sensei had me summon four THOUSAND clones and create investigation squads of nine and send them out of the village looking for leads on the snake sannin.
they've been out for over four hours now and i'm already feeling the strain, i bet its another one of her insane ways of training me!!!. you bet kiddo now go find your friends.
groaning silently i shadow stepped out to the street and used an extremely complex genjutsu to hide my face, simply because there was no way my chakra reserves would let me use easy jutsu, Noooo.
it wasn't long before i was knocking on itachi's door and waiting for him to answer, so i was a little surprised when itachi's younger brother sasuke answered it instead.
instantly noticing me he called out to itachi that his friend was here for him, it wasn't long before itachi was at the door with a small knapsack in hand ready to go for some light training today.
I looked back as we left, at the little brother of itachi looking crestfallen that his aniki was leaving again.
grasping itachi's sleeve i held on and waited for him to notice, it wasn't long before he was bending down in front of me with concerned eyes.
"whats wrong Naru ?" he asked, i glanced behind me at the door where sasuke stood watching us before an understanding look seemed to appear in his eye along with other emotions... excitement and worry.
he stood up with a small smile and held his hand out for me to take and reached another out toward sasuke who's eyes instantly brightened and he was running towards us with the biggest grin on his face.
we were soon walking along to meet up with shisui at the front gate, going at the slowest pace we could so it wouldn't seem like sasuke was really slow to him.
when we saw shisui he was leaning against a tree with his eyes shut, however he still noticed the extra chakra presence, and spoke up "is your ototo coming today?" he asked, the affirmative nod from itachi confirmed it.

i silently giggled and carefully leant down still wary of sasuke and picked him up and placed him on itachi's shoulders, before i hopped onto shisui's knowing full well my gravity seals were far too much for itachi to handle.
smiling slightly i looked over my shoulder my caramel genjutsu hair swaying in the wind at sasuke whose eyes shone with childlike innocence and wonder.
Oi kit why are you making the others carry you around all the time, get off shisui and carry him for once!!!. the thought of it made me release a quiet giggle before hopping off shisui and sending a message to itachi
one...two...three...go having noticed what i was planning he had used some chakra to stick sasuke firmly on his shoulders and lowered down to a ready position behind an oblivious shisui.
we took off at amazing speeds i scooped shisui up onto my shoulders in one fell swoop and we were off, shisui letting out a startled yelp before laughing madly.
i was silently giggling the whole way being mindful of the little guy on itachis shoulder and keeping the pace fast but not face falls off fast.
when we finally made it to the forest of death I dumped shisui and leapt over the fence landing on the other side, holding my arms out as itachi threw sasuke over to me.
catching him I could see the awe he had already gathered for us and I gently carried him the way I used to carry kids in the orphanage, bridal style.
he was looking around in excitement as we made our way to my tree.
when we got there i used a small amount of chakra and summoned Rama-sensei, she lazily sprawled out on the ground dangling a tail near sasuke to keep him occupied so he didn't run off as i walked up the side of the tree to get the targets.
remembering our promise of only light training I grabbed twenty targets and a ink brush and ink.
getting back to sasuke who was patting Rama-sensei and trying to play fetch, he of course was failing miserably, as Rama-sensei was as lazy as they come.
I then handed the shuriken and targets to itachi and brought my sealing equipment with to practice on.
we headed over to the clearing with a large tree stump for itachi to set the targets up on and a nice little pond.
leaning against a rock I dipped my toes in the pond and began drawing a seal on a rock, this seal was to help the owner of my teddy even if the others don't think I was awake to see him.

his red hair and haunted eyes were all I could remember. It was only a few weeks ago I asked Rama-sensei why she liked the teddy, and she told me it smelt like her brother shukaku.
it didn't take long to connect the dots and i began working on a seal. getting back to work i placed the last stroke on it before calling Rama-sensei over to give it a try.
I combined a mind healing seal with a tailed beast seal my own version of course, the original just causes them to become insane at the torture they are condemned to.
once Rama-sensei came over i controlled chakra through her and into the seal , only for her to disappear into it.
concentrating I joined her in the pocket dimension joined to the rock and asked her a couple questions.
"hey Rama can you get out of this seal no matter how much you try?" she looked around and instantly her chakra was everywhere trying to force the seal apart after forty minutes of trying she gave up, if the nine tails can't get out I'm sure the one tails can't either.
grinning I went outside the seal and broke it with a very long sequence of hand seals.before heading to a sunny patch by the pond, sitting quietly and meditating for a while.
I woke from the trance to the sound of a strangled yelp and a splash, looking around i saw sasuke sinking into the pond, getting up I walked across the water and scooped him up.
his clothes were absolutely soaked and it didn't seem like any of the others brought any extra clothes.
setting him down in the middle of the clearing I quickly set up a camp fire and called itachi and shisui over for a break.
both of the came over to see little sasuke freezing and trying to warm up in front of the fire.
either of you got any spare clothes? i asked there were two synchronised shakes of the head. huffing i watched as itachi leant down and took off sasuke's shirt and pants stripping him down to his boxers.
using a really low level wind jutsu with the least amount of chakra i could manage I dried him off before stripping off my hoodie and taking my long sleeve shirt off, most of my scars now out in the open to see.
There was a shocked silence and i turned around to see shisui pale and horrified. he stumbled forward and traced a finger along a few of my scars, before he choked out nine words.
"who would do this to such a sweet kid?" I frowned hadn't he already seen them...? naru-chan while i'm glad you've finally gotten to this level of trust, every time you changed you did it first, and normally shisui's eating breakfast so he has never actually seen them.
blushing I tossed my white long sleeve shirt over to itachi and pulled my navy hoodie back on to hide the scars.
sasuke looked very worried about me, but i was just glad he was only six so he wouldn't have been able to read the words much less connect them to me if i ever go back to the academy to meet friends"
call me selfish but the thought of revealing my true appearance to him seems wrong he knows me as itachi's friend around the same age as itachi mind you with the caramel hair, the honey coloured eyes whose name is naru.
I don't think i will ever tell him the truth, its better if he doesn't know what the villagers can be like.
glancing over at shisui i saw him leaning against itachi while itachi poked at the fire.
looking at sasuke i couldn't help but smile, my long white sleeve shirt fit him terribly and it went all the way down to his knees the sleeves had to be rolled up three times to get them passed his hands.
he was drawing in the dirt with a stick, from here i could make out four people and a fire but that was all i could see before a sting reminded me of my clones.
i sat down and concentrated on keeping my clones going, because if they popped now it would be a disaster.
hearing shisui's tummy rumble I giggled and unsealed some pocky, ramen, tomato rice balls, and some dango I then distributed them to everyone present.

Gaia Ark
Commander Coop, a four-armed, power-armored, super-soldier, undertakes a mission to assassinate the head of a religious cult bent on destroying the UPSF and everyone they protect. But no mission is ever that simple. GAIA ARK is an action adventure hero's journey featuring a cranky cyborg, vampiric sword, alien monsters, and enough self-discovery to provide a character arc. It's a little rough around the edges, a little crude. I started writing this story on November 2, 2018. This story is mid-composition. Please expect clunky prose, notes [in brackets], and incomplete...

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
