《Is it worth it? (Naruto fanfic)》xoxoMISSION-SAVE-HINATAoxox

laying down in my bed at my apartment i closed my eyes only to be whisked away to my first ever mission.
after leaving danzo, my team or as some will later call us as the pure hearted, set out to rescue lady hinata with the anbu captain tagging along behind us.
our mission had no details on where she was taken so we started at her clan home.
summoning a family of foxes i mentally told them to search for lady hinata, it wasn't long before they began yipping.
itachi and i ran on ahead, shisui stayed back for the element of surprise if we failed.
as we both ran behind the foxes i stretched out my sensors trying to detect any chakra, it took a couple of minutes before i could detect a chakra source about 4 kilometres away
it was heading towards the nearest border, if they passed the border there was nothing we could do.
using anbu hand signs i told the others, me and itachi sped up shisui not far behind leaving the anbu captain in the dust.
all the other anbu teams had done was train constantly on there strength and taijutsu, our team took a different approach and spent half the time gaining speed.
my gravity seals had made it up to sixty pounds extra and it was only a month ago when i introduce Rama sensei to my friends.
she came in the form of a knee high fox with nine tails, to say they were shocked was an understatement.
shisui nearly peed, once they had gotten to know Rama she began to come out more often and taught me even more.
one day she decided that training me wasn't going to do any good if my team dragged me down and she promptly pulled out a brush and wash clothe.
they were both now on level 12 in the gravity seals and could almost keep up with my slow jog, the anbu captain however was having a hard time.
he was sprinting full out and he was still 500 meters behind us we finished the four k run in a matter of minutes.
i froze on spot, all the chakra was gone and in this form i couldn't hear or smell anything either.
dispelling the foxes i joined my hands in the dragon seal and concentrated chakra moulding it with a small amount of Rama's chakra.
once it was moulded i started the jutsu, my eyes became a bright glowing purple with cat like pupils, two fox ears sprouted out of my head and a long bushy orange fox tail grew from my tail bone.

this was one of my own jutsu called Fox sensory which is basically what it does the eyes can see heat signatures along with picking up even the smallest movement.
the ears can detect any sound in a mile radius and the tail acted like a chakra detector and would conduct any chakra into my body (SPOILER kinda like stabbing himself in sage mode to find pain SPOILER OVER)
once i had finished transforming i could hear the sound of a kunai coming straight toward me reacting in a split second my tail grabbed it right before it pierced my head.
turning around i saw the anbu captain with his arm out stretched eyes scowling, shisui rounded on the man, "YOU ARE HERE TO WATCH NOT TO GET INVOLVED MUCH LESS ATTACK A TEAM MATE WHILE HE IS DOING HIS OWN JUTSU!!!!"
the anbu captain stood there absorbing what itachi had just said before he coughed into his hand and looked away.
getting back on task i used my tail to gather chakra from the air, i soon detected a chakra signature that didn't belong to our group and i sent anbu hand signs to my friends
"follow my trail i will go on ahead"
the others nodded the captain seemed to be very confused i could practically hear him asking how I'm gonna get ahead of them.
the unasked question was soon answered when i took off at a dead sprint leaving the forest in a matter of seconds.
i gave a victory smirk and made it to a clearing where the chakra was coming from, by now i could feel a very small chakra signature probably from a young child with no chakra reserves.
using my purple eyes i saw three heat signatures surprising me a bit until i realised it was a bird summons. "huh so thats how they were so fast" Rama sensei commented.
i noticed that there seemed to be a green glow surrounding the young heir, turning the glow off my eyes i poked my head out of the tree and glanced around.
there was some kind of white chakra net surrounding the girl that seemed to use bits of chakra to constantly hold down pressure points on Hinata keeping her unconscious.
my eyes narrowed looking over to the man i noticed he had very short hair and dark skin he was a cloud nin.
glancing around the clearing i noticed a body lying on the floor, he was a huuga and his eyes were unrecognisable.

that meant only one thing he was a member of the branch family, glancing over him i recognised him as on of the jonin hizashi huuga.
i scowled he was a single father to a boy my age and i knew he was now orphaned.
reading the situation i immediately decided he was coming back alive to the torture and interrogation unit.
jumping down from my perch on the tree i startled the man who i now recognised as a head ninja in the cloud village.
"his eyes grew wide before a confident smirk adorned his lips. just because i'm small and alone doesn't mean I'm easy pickings Baka, i thought.
putting my feet in a fighting stance. i took in his weaknesses making a mental list.
*sloppy stance
*favouring left leg
*chakra is that of a chuunin
in my opinion i have no idea why he's so cocky, and sure he's going to win i mean i could have beat him before anbu.
i watched as he charged forward at a speed i matched months ago.
i moved my head slightly to avoid the kunai leaving him flying forward, using his momentum against him i flipped him over my shoulder.
spinning around i kicked his chin sending him flying into a tree.
he stood up and yelled "water wave!!!" i raised my eyebrow, jutsu with no hand signs, most likely the only reason he's a head ninja.
standing there i did a simple fireball jutsu and added more concentrated chakra.
my own idea, as soon as my chakra mixed with someone else it blows up. as the large fireball evaporated the wave ,he moved away smart move.
the fireball kept going leaving many smoking stumps for a few kilometres i saw his face pale, i could already tell he wasn't going to play with me anymore.
his face set in a determined scowl he shot out a large dragon made of fire. my eyes widened as he then sent out a large dragon made of wind.
knowing what he was doing i did the advanced seals for a rock barrier, and i jumped over to lady hinata who was the current target.
gently lifting her i pulled the chakra net off her and set her in a tree with advanced barrier seals going around her.
the man started shooting more and more fire justus at me soon many of the trees were on fire. it was then fixed when i sent a tornado of water at him.
he didn't dodge in time and was sucked inside before being thrown down harshly on the ground
his head was bleeding with blood almost blinding him, using my enormous chakra reserves i created thousands of shadow clones.
we all advanced on the man who stood up his eyes had long since gone wild with desperation, he did his own hand sign and a large bird poofed into existence.
he leapt onto the bird and tried to fly away , however my clones all launched kunai at the bird and it poofed away back to its summons land.
the man fell around thirty feet before hitting the ground with a thud. he tried to stand but i figured i had enough playing around and knocked him out
placing chakra cuffs around his wrists i left to go check on lady hinata
her small body was curled up near the trunk of the tree her body was leaning on itachi who had been watching the fight.
allowing shisui to pick up the man i focused my attention on the flabbergasted anbu captain.
he seemed to be shocked at my performance, till he coldly spoke "why did you let him live, next time kill him"
thats where itachi cut him off in a monotone voice he said, "if he had of killed the man the village in the clouds would have used it as a declaration of war, so next time if something similar happens we won't just kill the man captain"
i bent down and picked up the heiress princess style as she was already my height i carried her down to where itachi had sealed hizashi in a scroll and shisui was carrying the cloud nin.
we turned and left the captain following behind us, it took us half the time to get to hinata's clan home where i walked inside and laied her down on the couch.
only turning to hiashi when i was sure she was sleeping, i handed him the scroll that held hizashi's remains.
i could see his stoney expression crack a little before our heartless anbu counterparts left to report to danzo, kneeling to him this time.
my eyes opened to the bright day where i would finally report in to the hokage for my first mission.

Post War Rules
Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.
