Clank
I dropped my ANBU mask on the Hokages desk, putting my hands on my hips as I looked at Lord Naruto and Shikamaru.
"What's with the scratches?" Shikamaru asked, looking my mask over.
"You'd have to thank your ninja for that," I say flicking my head to the ANBU shinobi behind me.
"It was your fault!" She hissed at me.
"You're the one wearing the claws, not me." I glared back at her.
"Whatever," She huffed, turning away.
This is Kazane, the ANBU ninja who turned out to be a kunoichi, that was administering my test. How'd I finally realize he was a she? Simple, while we were fighting she presented me the perfect opportunity to level the playing field by removing her mask. And by remove, I mean intentionally kick it off her face, also resulting in an unintentional bloody nose and bruised cheek. I was a little surprised to find out that Lord Seventh had sent a woman out for my trial but they are smaller and faster, perfect for the task of keeping something away from someone rather than fighting them.
"And did you have to punch so hard? If you had landed one of those chakra infused hit on me that would have been the end." Kazane added.
"Would you drop it already, I already apologized and that's not something I do often so get over yourself." I roll my eyes.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" She yelled at me.
"Ok, you two! That's enough, the point is you passed Ukai, you are now officially part of Konoha's ANBU squad." Lord Naruto said as Shikamaru handed me an ANBU uniform.
"Congrats," Kazane smiled.
"Hmm," I bowed to the Lord and his assistant before exiting the office.
"DID YOU JUST IGNORE ME!?" Kazane yelled again.

I rolled my eyes, ignoring the purple-haired kunoichi once again as I descended the stairs of the academy and headed home. It was already late afternoon, my exam-taking less time than expected, but still dragged out pretty long.
"I'm home Mother," I call pulling my shoes off before walking into the living room.
"Welcome home Ukie," Mother smiled.
"So?" She walked up to me with a curious look.
"How did it go?" She asked, fiddling with her fingers.
I pulled the ANBU mask out from behind me and handed it to her with a soft smile. She gasped, pulling the mask up to her face and looking over it.
"Oh, Ukie I'm so proud of you!" She hugged my waist.
"Thanks, Mother," I hugged her back.
"We need to celebrate!" She pulled away, running off into the kitchen.
I chuckled, running a hand through my hair before following after her.

"Haaaaa," I sighed looking up at the sun.
"This is going to become a real annoyance one of these days." I groan as I lean against the village gates waiting for my sister's class to get back from their trip.
"Man what an awesome trip! I hope we have another one soon!" The loud voice of excited children filled the air and I opened my eyes to see the academy student walking this way.
"For sure." The Nara boy agreed with Boruto's loud cheer.
"Tsk," I rolled my eyes pushing off the gate and folding my arms.
"H-hey, it's you!" Boruto stopped and pointed at me, stammering.
"What are you doing here?" He growled.
"I'm here to fetch Sarada you moron why else would I be here?" I hiss at him.
He stared at me with a killer glare, practically fuming.
"Ukai!" I heard Sarada's voice.

"Hey," I greeted my sister.
She jogged up to me, wrapping her arms around me before smiling up at me. I grinned slightly at her, bringing a hand up and poking her forehead. She let go of me and took a step back, holding her forehead before smiling again. I smirked, stuffing my hands into my pockets before turning away.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow," Sarada waved to her friends, following after me.
"Bye! Bye Sarada! See you tomorrow!" Her friends called after us.
"How was it?" I ask as we head home.
"It was good, it's a beautiful village Ukai, you should visit sometime," Sarada said.
"Hmm," I nodded.
"Anything interesting happen?" I look down at her.
"Nope, nothing," She smiled up at me.
I watched her smiled then face back the way we were headed, I hummed, accepting her answer but knowing better. From what she's told me so far, wherever their class goes, wherever that Boruto boy goes, something always happens.
"Did you get to meet the Meizukage?" I ask.
"Ye, we did." She answered.
I nodded, turning back to the road as we walked.
"How was your week? Did you do anything interesting?" Sarada asked me.
"I took the Jounin and ANBU exams," I say.
"Wow really?" She stared at me.
"Mm-hm," I hum.
"So?" She pushed.
"I passed both, and Lord Seventh gave me a position in the Solo ANBU Squad," I add.
"What does that mean?" She asked.
"It means I'm a Hidden Leaf Ninja, but that I won't be pulled away on missions all the time, that I will still be able to watch out for you and Mother," I say.
"Oh, that's cool." She nodded.
"Are you also gonna teach?" Sarada asked.
"I told Lord Seventh I didn't do well with people let alone children, that I didn't think I'd have the patients, but I ended up a sensei anyway." I sighed.
"How do you mean?" She looked up at me.
"I ran into Mino yesterday," I begin.
"Oh isn't that Uncle Yuto and Aunt Minka daughter?" Sarada cheers.
"Mm-hm, ya," I agree.
"I love Mino, she's so cute and sweet, and she calls me big-sis," Sarada ginned.
"She called me Big-Brother yesterday, after begging me to help her and her friend's train." I sigh.
"Ohhhh, so you like her personal sensei?" Sarada smirked.
"No! I just told her I would help her out, I didn't say I'd be her sensei!" I turn my head away.
"I can't figure you out Ukai." Sarada put her hand to her chin.
"How so?" I asked.
"You say you hate people but you're the first to help, you say you prefer to work alone and be like Dad but you're in the village with us, working perfectly with people when you need to," Sarada concluded.
"Where did you get that?" I turn to her.
"The Jounin exam, no way you passed without working in a team, you agreed to sensei Mino and her friends, and you do anything to protect the people you care about." Sarada smiled up at me.
"Tsk, whatever," I poked her forehead again, pushing her to the side lightly and walking ahead.
She paused, holding her head again before running up after me.
"Hey! Wait for me!" She called.
When she caught up to me I ruffled her hair and she complained, slapping my hands away but I just chuckled, pushing my hands into my pockets and we continued to walk.

Long Island
Long Island was not the first virtual reality game or to say a VRMMORPG. Not the one which changed the world and became a legend. No, it was made when there were lots (quite a few) of virtual reality games already on the market. Each game had its own unique AI feature, its own unique adventure, promising everyone a chance to become King, if not a God. In such a time Long Island was made. Just a little different, just a little unique. A normal guy was starting his own adventure, in life and in game.Note - Adding a cover made by someone I connected through wattpad: @DameCarnelian. Just a warning, it is not an accurate representation. The ship is not Raka's ship so avoid any confusion in that regard.

GameWorld: Earth's Apocalypse
Be careful what you wish for. The old saying holds true for many people, but none more so than Jaxson Stratford. An avid video game player and reader of post-apocalypse novels, Jax always wished for the chance to attain power and abilities like the heroes of the stories he read about. Then, he received his wish in the form of The System’s arrival. However the truth of reality in this new System dominated world, is something far worse than he could ever imagine. This story is similiar to many others on the site, but the 'System' is something I've thought about for some time. That being said, it is still being fleshed out, so don't expect the story to be amazing, but rather an entertaining read.
