《The Last line of Uchiha》Part 4

Ukai
"Welcome everyone to the final stage of the Chunin exams." Uncle Naruto called to all the spectators watching us.
I raised my head, scanning over the crowd. Mothers and Fathers of all the students were here. Each hoping to see their child the victor. My eyes caught pink hair as my Mother walked along, I followed her movements, watching as she approached and greeted Lady Hinata. Both women turned to look our way, waving at me once our eyes met. I bowed my head slightly before turning back to Lord Naruto.
"Let the fights begin." He finished.
The crowd roared and all the student's attention turned to the big board as it shuffled through names. I watched intently after my name appeared first, the training I have provided myself makes fighting me reasonably unfair, I know things most Genin wouldn't, or shouldn't.
Ukai Uchiha vs Kaku Aoba
Hmm. Sound ninja. Pretty well armored for a sound user.
"You got this Ukai!" Minka.
"Show him who's boss!" Yuto.
We stared at each other as we waited for the go-ahead. He was checking his armor, but so was I. He has more on his hands and feet, so close combat is a must. He has a utility belt, not many sound ninjas use those so he must need what's in it more than anyone. On the other hand, he doesn't seem to carry any other weapons, so he relies on sounds, disorientation, or deafening tactics most likely.
"Remember boys, fight with the intent to kill, last man standing wins." Lord Naruto said.
We both nodded.
"Begin!" He finished.
Neither Kaku nor I moved. We both stared at each other before my ears started to ring.
'Ok, disorientation, this move drains immense amounts of chakra, used to throw target off before finishing them, just... need to... hold strong.... long enough' I grunted.
I blinked, shaking my head and cringing at the harsh waves.
"Ukai!" Minka.
The sounds increased and I had to put my hands over my ears. I stepped back, grunting in pain as Kaku walked toward me.
"Watch out Ukai!" Minka yelled as Karasu jumped at me.
I jumped back, watching as Kaku punched the ground, cracking and denting it. I looked up, shaking my head before staring at my opponent. I stood and looked to the floor, wiping my foot along the sand, disturbing the ground before grabbing a hand full. I held the sand in my fist as I brought my hands up to make the clone Jutsu hand sign. The ground shook and sand began to swirl around me, as well as in 7 places around the arena. The sand then exploded away and there were now 8 of me standing around Kaku.

"Yes, Ukai!" Yuto yelled.
I smirked, making two clones jump at the sound ninja, but he jumped up, splitting in the air and kicking both clones in the chests. Multiple gasps were then heard as the clones now stood there with holes in their chests. Kaku looked shocked as the earth that sat on the floor behind them rolled back into their chests and reformed.
"What? How did you...?" He turned around to watch all the clones.
"You never heard of an earth clone?" I smirk.
Kaku growled, grabbing kunai from his belt and attacking the clones. He fought them one by one. I was right. His hand to hand combat skills or Taijutsu is amazing. When he had taken out all my clones and came at me, I threw my kunai at him before doing multiple backflips to get away from him. When I skidded to a stop I smirked at the sound ninja. He growled, grabbing something from his belt and creating streams of sound waves that was directed straight at me.
"Crap," I mumble.
I began running around the arena as I tried to outrun the streams of sound. I jumped over a few and slid under others before I was able to get close enough to Kaku. I didn't give him any time to block me, I had jumped into action while he was still trying to redirect the stream and landed a straight kick to his chest, sending him flying across the arena and killing the sound attack.
"Yes, Ukai!" Minka and Yuto cheered.
Standing I watched as the sound ninja peeled off the wall and fell to the floor. I grabbed one of my kunai and swung it in my hands as I approached the fallen boy. I grabbed his hair and lifted his head, I moved my kunai toward his neck to show the proctor to finish the match, but I was suddenly thrown back and locked to the floor on my knees. I groaned, pulling at my arms trying to stand but I couldn't move.
"I'm not finished yet." Kaku groaned as he stood.
He pointed his hand at me and my body began to clench. I yelled out at the discomfort but shut my mouth quickly.
'I won't show him any weakness!' I growled.
"That was a neat trick, but it won't help if you can't make the signs," Kaku growled stopping in front of me.
"I have my own little tricks, sound chains, restrict all movement." He laughed.
"As long as there are sounds around, like your grunts of pain, they will remain strong..." He added I growled at him.

'Who does this kid think he is?'
I looked past him at the worried faces of my Mother and Lady Hinata. Lord Naruto had a worried yet calm face but I could see he was sneaking glances at the person next to him. Father stood there with an unreadable expression. He stood tall, staring me down with that emotionless face before looking down.
'No, Father, don't look away! I will win! I'm not a disappointment! I will prove I'm the only heir you need!' I stared at him.
"This fight is over." Kaku sneered putting a finger against my forehead.
Massive shocks ran through my head and I screamed. I could hear the crowd gasping and my friends shouting for me. My body shook and I was running out of strength.
'I, am an Uchiha! I will not lose! I will continue the legacy of my mighty clan! We are the strongest! I am the son of Sasuke Uchiha of the Hidden Leaf, I am the last line of Uchiha! And I will not lose! I will make my family proud! I WILL SHOW YOU I'M THE BEST!'
"No, it's not!" I scream opening my eyes.
I ripped my arms away from my body, breaking the chains and creating a massive surge of energy that pushed Kaku away again. I felt intense power flow all over my body and felt my eyes burn. I was still holding my kunai so I cut my hand and stood before I pushed both hands to the floor.
"Summoning Jutsu!" I scream.
The ground under me disappeared and I was suddenly 30 ft in the air. I blinked, looking down at the sound ninja from my place on the head of a giant snake.
I looked over to the Hokage stand and saw my Father and Lord Naruto standing there with wide eyes. I smirked. I looked down at the sound ninja again before jumping off Komara, my summoning snake, and in front of the brunette boy.
"I'm far from done," I smirk.
Kaku growled, putting his hands together and creating 50 normal clones. I turned to look at all, my eyes seemingly looking straight through them and finding the real Kaku before I heard a loud hiss. I was lifted into the air and thrown up. This is a little strange, weightlessness is an unwelcomed feeling, I don't like flying. But I watched as Komara slithered around, destroying all the shadow clones with swipes of his tail before I landed on the floor again. He brought his face down next to mine and I stroked his head.
Kaku then put his hands up again.
"Sound style! Sound wave Jutsu!" He roared.
The ground under Kaku cracked and dented, sending shocks throughout the arena. Waves of sound traveled towards Komara and me and pushed us both back into the opposite wall. The pressure it sent was crushing my chest and I could barely breathe. I watched Kaku, he should be just about out of chakra after this attack. My ears were ringing so badly I could hear it echo in my head. My vision was blurring and something warm was running down my jaw. When the waves stopped Komara disappeared and I fell to my knees, shaking my head before looking at Karasu. I growled, wiping the blood from my nose and ears before standing as best I could and bringing my hands up.
"This ends now!" I hiss.
I punched the floor and it cracked under him, opening and almost swallowing him but he jumped away. Creating more rock clones, I had them attack him as I performed multiple hand signs for my final attack. I watched the clones beat the poor brunette to a pulp before I finished my signs and was ready.
"Fire release. Fire Dragon Flame Jutsu." I mumbled so he didn't hear the attack.
I pulled my clones back watching Kaku fall to his knees before I brought my fingers to my mouth and blew the flames toward the sound ninja. I watched his eyes widen before the fire Dragon obstructed my view. I heard multiple gasps once again before the ball was extinguished and our proctor stood in front of Kaku.
"This match is over! The victor, Ukai Uchiha!" He pointed at me turning to face Lord Naruto.
The arena was silent for a second before it erupted into claps and cheers. I smirked and looked up to my Father and Mother. Mother was smiling and clapping, Father stood still watching me before nodding and smiling. I sighed in relief and smiled, I turned to Minka and Yuto as they jumped into the arena and ran to hug me. I hugged Minka and high-fived Yuto.
'I am Ukai Uchiha, and I will make my Father proud.'

Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel (An Irreverent Fanfiction)
Fates Parallel is a gripping cultivation story, following the adventures of a half-spirit girl with nothing as she grows both as a cultivator and as a person after arriving at the Grand Academy of Spiritual, Martial and Arcane Arts. It features fleshed-out, believable characters, wonderful world-building that informs the course of the plot, and girls who hold hands. Fates Parallel is a very good story, and you should read it! Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek look at this same world from a different angle, following a totally regular girl who brings bad luck with her wherever she goes. It features shallow, joke-name characters, a focus on the least interesting parts of a fantastic world, and girls who hold hands (potentially). Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel is an amazingly hilarious (so says me) fanfiction and you should read it! (This is a Totally Author Approved Spin-Off (Fanfiction) for Fates Parallel, which you can find in a number of places including here on RoyalRoad! Please do read it!)

Paternum: A Superhero Story
When Quinn finds an experimental superpower-granting costume in their parents’ attic, they didn’t expect to be drawn into a web of superhuman intrigue, but their discovery serves as the catalyst for that conspiracy to slowly unravel. At it’s heart, Paternum is an extended coming-of-age story for the main character as they become a superhero, in a world with more reasonable stakes and less powerful heroes than many superheroic worlds. Themes include what art means to different people, and what it means to be a patron, whether as a sponsor, a parent, or a supporter. I consider Paternum‘s primary influences to be the various versions of Spider-Man, J. C. McCrae’s own superhero story Worm, and Drew Hayes’ story SuperPowereds. I hope that fans of such stories can find something to enjoy in mine as well. Paternum is primarily hosted on my website (thevoidwrites.com) where it updates weekly in groups of scenes totalling approximately 2000 words. Here on Royal Road, it will update once daily with one scene at a time, but only after each act is completed on the home site - the next batch of updates is scheduled to begin on February 5th. There is a discord channel for discussion (discordapp.com/invite/QFMM6yA), and you can vote for Paternum on topwebfiction (topwebfiction.com/vote.php?for=paternum) as well. Finally, you can buy the first book of Paternum, The Swift Uplifting Rush, in a couple different ways - as an ebook through Amazon, or directly from me for a discounted price, or as a physical paperback from Amazon. Buying the book will give you access to Drawing Hands, an exclusive arc that won't ever be published on either my site or Royal Road.
