"what have I done. This wasn't supposed to happen"
"What have I done. What have I done"
"Stupid stupid Carson. Stupid stupid Carson"
That was all I could hear as Carson kept repeating, sitting on the cold floor
Everything felt like a dream, Aliyah kept coughing blood as more blood kept gushing from her side
"Aliyah" I knelt beside her quickly taking off my top to try stop the bleeding.
"Aliyah please don't do this to me" I knelt on the ground as I held Aliyah to me. I never saw the Knife Carson held all along. How did I miss it
This is all my fault
"Aliyah please open your eyes" I sobbed.
I slapped her face repeatedly so her eyes would stay open
"Please. Please Al, look at me" I sobbed heavily. What do I do.
I'm scared if I leave to go get help then Aliyah might stop breathing. Her breathing was really weak I could hardly feel a pulse
I held unto her tightly.
I dialed 911 describing my location, explaining everything that happened
I searched for Sarah's number, dialing it immediately
"Please pick up" I said sobbing.
My heart was racing really fast.
Aliyah wasn't responding to anything I did.
"Please don't do this to me"
"Sup babe" Sarah spoke through the noise in the background as she picked
"Sarah please come quickly, I had no idea Carson had a knife with him, I don't know what to do please come immediately. Come to the schools building, please. Aliyah got stabbed please come quickly"
"Slow down. I can't understand a word you're saying" she said sounding panicked
I couldn't stop crying. This is so frustrating
"Please come" I sobbed
"Jesus, Ava what happened. Where are you?"
"My locker" I hanged up the phone
"Please" I whispered crying, holding her to my chest.

"Al wake up"
I held on tightly
"This wasn't part of the arrangement Al. We never agreed on this" I sniffled
"I'm the one who's supposed to leave not you" I brought my lips to kiss hers
"Just hang in there okay, help is coming"
Her lips were dry and her body felt cold
"Hang in there for me, please" I spoke as more tear flow down my face
She wasn't responding at all.
"Oh my God!" I heard Sarah gasps
"Jesus what happened!"
"Carson wtf!" She shouted
"Sarah" I spoke weakly
"I know you did this Carson" she shouted
"I know you did this jerk!"
Carson was still sitting on the floor chanting incoherent words like a maniac
"Sarah!" I said weakly
"That's not important right now" I tried to withhold more tear from dropping but I couldn't
"I already called the ambulance, they should be here any minute" I said with my shaky voice
She knelt down beside me taking Aliyah's hand
"She's getting cold" she croaked out
"Aliyah" she called
I could hear the sound of people approaching us. I didn't bother to turn, I knew who they were already. I held onto Aliyah tightly
I noticed a stretcher close to us as two men tried to lift her up.
I helped them lift her up
They hurriedly carried her and I followed them with a quick pase
"I'm coming with you" I said as we got closer to the van
"I'll be following from behind" Sarah spoke as I nodded, leaving me with them.
When we got outside a lot of students had gathered around. I honestly had no idea whether Carson was still in the building or if he ran away. I really don't care about that right now
I noticed my phone kept ringing in my pocket, but I ignored it

I watched as they tried to control the bleeding gushing from her side.
I took her hand in mine, kissing it repeatedly
"Stay with me please"
When we got to the hospital she was rushed into the emergency ward. I was told to wait outside.
At this point, my mind was playing tricks on me
I couldn't think straight. I kept pacing round.
I noticed Sarah running up to meet me
"Hey"
I nodded
My walls were crumbling down
Every emotions I ever tried to bury were coming out
This is stupid. Life is stupid
Sarah pulled me into a hug and I broke down instantly.
This is too much
"Aliyah would be fine" she spoke softly as she kept tapping my back
I really want to believe those words. I really do
If I had just stayed put and watched the freaking football game none of this would have happened
"This is all my fault" I sobbed
"Don't say that" Sarah tried to console me.
Few minutes later we were joined by Derek, Aliyah's Cousin. This was my first time meeting him
I watched as he hugged Sarah tightly
I sat there doing calculations with my brain, thinking of so many possibilities that could have prevented this from happening.
"Where's my daughter" I heard a deeper voice echo through the building
"Where's the asshole that did this to my daughter" his voice broke
I lifted my gaze to the direction of the voice. I could spot the resemblance. I used my hand to cover my mouth trying not to cry cause his eyes brought flooding images of Aliyah struggling on the cold floor, with blood all over.
Derek had met him and they were now talking slightly, I could hardly hear what they were saying
I sat down, too afraid to stand up. I watched as several nurses would come out of the ward, completely ignoring us
I tapped my feet to the ground impatiently. Waiting for the doctors to tell us what's going on
Sarah sat next to me along side Derek
She held my hand
"Everything's going to be fine" she assured
I simply nodded hoping for the best
Finally a doctor came out from the ward approaching us
"Are you all here for Aliyah Anderson?"
"Yes I'm her father"
Aliyah's Dad spoke
He adjusted his gaze.
At this point I could here the sound of my heart beat loudly in my ears.
Every other sound seemed to fade out
"Well, Sir your daughter.."
to be continued....
