I woke up and Aliyah was gone. I felt around my bed a little as if it would bring her back.

I could still smell her.

I laid back too lazy to get up. I inhaled deeply, her scent on the sheet.

This isn't creepy at all

I dragged my legs out of bed when I remembered I had to go to school today.

School, the one thing we never asked for

Oh well, we have to be educated in some way

No sign of Ben, which is great cause I no longer have to face Ben's aka military drilling every morning just to get to school

I got into the shower. I let the cold water run down my skin. I felt really fatigued.

I got out of the shower and basically dragged myself to get dressed.

Everything feels dark and gloomy, so I opted for my usual black on black.

I picked up my backpack and walked slowly down the stairs

"Hey princess" mom approached me from the kitchen

I nodded, not having the will to respond

She squeezed me in a tight hug, before kissing my forehead.

I smiled weakly

"Good morning mom" I managed to say. I looked around

"Where's Dad"

She walked back into the kitchen and I followed

"Your father already left for work, he had something urgent to attend to"

I nodded

I feel like skipping today. I honestly don't feel like interacting with people today.

My phone buzzed

I got a message from an unknown ID

"DO. NOT. FORGET. OUR. PROJECT. SUBMISSION. TODAY☹️"

I rolled my eyes

How did she even get my number, ooh well, it doesn't matter

Gosh I feel really sick. Oh well, I am sick

Can this day be over with. I Sighed

There was a knock and mom went to get it.

"Hello dear"

"Hey Mrs Davis"

Knowing already who that was, I picked my backpack from the floor and dragged myself to the living room

They were both laughing at something, but when they saw me they stopped.

I could be skeptical about this little exchange, but right now, all energy were drained out of me

I avoided Aliyah's eyes, not intentionally

"Bye Mom" I barely muttered

I walked lazily towards Aliyah's car. She followed quietly

I got in quickly shutting the door

When she got in, I looked out the window

Why does everything feel gloomy today? I just want to go back in bed.

"Hey" I heard Aliyahs voice

"Hey" I muttered back

I knew Aliyah would be confused right now but none of this is intentional, I'm just not feeling good

When we got to school, we remained in the car. I for one felt too lazy to get out. The silence was driving me nuts

"Did I do something wrong" Aliyah finally broke the silence

"Is it about last night? if it is i'm sor"

Before she could finish her sentence, i turned to pull her close to me, our lips barely touching

She inhaled sharply. I shaked my head slowly

"I loved everything about last night" I wisperred against her lips

She tried to connect our lips but I placed a finger on her lips

My gaze were still on her lips

"I'm just feeling really stressed today" I spoke, finally meeting her eyes

Her eyes studied mine.

"Okay" she whispered. She smiled before placing a long kiss on my forehead.

"In case anything is bothering you please don't keep it from me okay?"

I nodded, "okay"

We got out and she grabbed my backpack before I could protests. She chuckled

"What?" She acted innocent

I smiled, I really felt weak today

We walked side by side till we got to class. I feel like going to bed

Aliyah's POV

Classes were already over, all I could think of was Ava.

She seemed really off.

"Aliyah for the tenth time, focus"

"Oh sorry" I smiled, feeling guilty

Sarah dragged me to her cheerleading practice and now I have to watch them for some odd reason

"Why am I here again?" I asked

She rolled her eyes

"Cause, we're practicing a new routine and we need an outside opinion"

I nodded like I was comprehending what she was saying

"Why not just ask any of the boys from the football team?"

"Ugh Aliyah can you please focus"

I shrugged

I miss Ava already and I want to be with her, and Sarah have me here, watching cheerleaders throw pompoms

"Okay girls five, six, seven, eight"

I watched them bored

I brought out my phone. I noticed I got a text from Ava

"Hey, where are you, I'm waiting at the parking lot"

"Will be there in 10" I responded smiling

"Aliyah" I raised my head

"Yeah"

"You weren't even paying attention"

I chuckled

"I was"

She rolled her eyes.

"Well we're done already"

Oops

We both headed out of the gym

We were getting closer to the parking lot when Sarah said from nowhere

"Derek and I broke up"

I stopped in my tracks. No way, those two are like the perfect couple

"Did he hurt you?"

She shaked her head

"It's just I couldn't continue any longer...I'm in love with someone else Aliyah"

Woah. A lot of questions are running through my head but I don't want to trespass

"Does he go to our school"

she nodded quietly

"Does he know you're in love with him?" She shaked her head no

"Look, I can't blame you for falling in love with someone else, I can't even imagine what must be going through your head, but what I can say is, if you love someone, walk up to them and say, 'Hey stupid, I love you', don't sweat it, love happens, and sometimes we can't help it. And if he doesn't see how gorgeous and incredible you are then he's just stupid. Okay?"

She smiled. I still need to talk to Derek

I saw Ava and I waved.

"Sarah, we would talk better I'm sorry I got to leave, okay? I'll call you when I get home "

She nodded quietly. I took this as my cue to leave

I was only two feet away when she called out

"HEY STUPID. I LOVE YOU"
