《You/Katie Mcgrath and others Imagines》You/Lucy Lane - Kara's Sister

Summary: You arrive a little later than Kara
Prompt by: Reynacasarez551
This planet was strange. Their star was yellow instead of red and everything about it was different. You just knew you weren't near or around Krypton anymore. Your father had told you that the planet he would be sending you to would give you special abilities and yet when you stepped out of the ship, you felt the same. There was no big change or difference so you just began to walk to find some sort of civilization in search of your sister. Something must have happened with the ship's systems so that you and your sister's ship weren't linked. It didn't matter now, what mattered was that you had to find your sister.
You weren't sure how long you walked for until you bumped into an old women that was kind enough to take you in. She noticed how lost you were and figured you needed help. To repay for her kindness, you helped her around her farm. The old lady had said that it was going to be hard work but she would pay you more than enough to help her out.
The work was easy as hell. The old lady, Carol, just watch as you easily lifted things that would require at least two people to carry. Carol never questioned you strength as she had seen far stranger things and you didn't know better. You had assumed everyone could do the same when in reality no one could lift a hay bale on their own.
After finishing your work, you spent the majority of your time searching in this thing called 'internet' for your sister but nothing came up whenever you typed up 'Kara Zor-El.' It was beyond frustrating and the longer you continued to search, the more you began to believe that maybe she hadn't made it.
It wasn't until a few months later that Carol came running to you in the field.
"(Y/n)! I-I think I know who your sister might be."
"Really? How is that possible? How can I find her?"
"The thing is, I noticed things about you. Things that no normal human could do and it made me think that maybe it was possible from another planet. I never wanted to ask because I didn't want to upset you or anything but the more I kept thinking about it, the more I kept noticing the similarities between you and Supergirl."
"Supergirl? My sister's name is not Supergirl. Her name is Kara Zor-El."
"I know. I know but hear me out. She has almost the same abilities as you. The two of you look quite alike except for just a thing or two and the most important thing of all is that she's not from here."
"Do you know where I can find a picture of her?"
"Just give me a second."
She pulled out one of her tiny computers and searched for a picture of Supergirl. Carol handed the phone over to you.
"Oh Rao. That is my sister. I-I have to go. I need to go see her."
You turned around ready to fly off but realized that you still hadn't finished your work.

"Go. You haven't seen your sister in so long. This is important."
"Thank you, Carol. I promise to return."
You gave her the lightest hug you could giver her before taking off to this National City.
You soon realized after flying around for hours that it might have been a good idea to ask Carol around for directions since you had no idea where to go but by pure chance, you stumbled upon it after hearing loud screams from a nearby city.
Kara had just been infected by red kryptonite and was terrorizing the city. Claiming that under her rule, no one would get hurt. That humans were weak and needed to be under strict order so they wouldn't kill themselves.
"Kara?"
You called out her name as she was getting ready to drop a person.
Kara turned around, eyes flashing red when she spotted you.
"Well if it isn't my dead sister, back from the dead? I figured you had abandoned me or possibly died so long ago. This is certainly wonderful timing. I could use a hand or two to help me with these pathetic humans."
You were horrified to hear these words coming from the same sister that refused to hurt even the smallest bug back in Krypton.
"Kara, father sent us here to help them. Not to terrorize them. Look at him. He passed out from pure terror. You need to stop this."
Kara grew angry at hearing your words. She tossed him aside and moved towards you. You flew out of her reach just in time to catch the man and bring him down to safety.
Just as you had dropped him off, Kara grabbed you by the neck and punched you. You were disoriented and Kara took advantage to give you a couple of more hits before you realized that there was no way you could talk to her without getting punched so you flew off and hid.
You sighed in relief when she flew by past you. You closed your eyes for a second and opened them to find men and women in black, surrounding you with guns that had a green rock attached to them. You slowly fell to your knees, not understanding why you were suddenly in so much pain. Nothing had ever made you feel like this before. A lady stepped up, making you look up to her.
"Cuff her and bring her back to the DEO."
The pain had been too much and you passed out.
You woke up, strapped down to a bed with a bunch of different wires sticking to you as well as a green light that was still making everything hurt but not enough to make you pass out. You still struggled to break the binds, finding it hard to believe that they could hold you down.
"Don't bother. You're only exhausting yourself. I figured that you've never had to deal with kryptonite before."
You frowned at the word. It's not everyday that you hear something that sounds similar to your planet.
"Kryptonite?"
"They are fragments from your planet that harm you, Supergirl and Superman. Depending on their color, each one has a different effect on you."

"Is that what is causing my sister to act like that?"
"Your sister?"
"Yes, Ka-, I mean Supergirl."
You corrected yourself realizing that maybe Kara was hiding from people like her.
"That's certainly strange. Supergirl never mentioned having a sister other than Alex. Give me a second."
"Wait! Please turn off the light. It's hurts a lot and hate feeling like this."
Lucy watched as you tried hiding the pain from her but she could tell it was hurting you too much. She looked around for the camera and walked over to it, turning it off.
"I will hunt you down if you so much as think about escaping."
You quickly nod, too afraid of ever testing it out so you just patiently wait for her to come back.
Minutes later and the same lady comes back with another women.
"Alex this is, Kara's sister from Krypton."
"Kara's sister? She never mentioned anything about you."
"It's possible she thought I was dead as my ship was sent after hers. I'm assuming she thought I hadn't been flown off from the planet in time."
Lucy began to remove each of the wires as the two of you talked but you could hardly pay attention. All you could think about was the brunette in front of you. She was beautiful.
"Hey!"
You jumped at the sudden snap of her fingers to realize that they were both trying to get your attention.
"Sorry, what did you say?"
"What's your name?"
"(y/n) Zor-El."
"That is definitely Kara's sister."
"Look. We don't have a lot of time to explain but you seem friendly enough and possibly the only one who can save Kara. Long story short, she's been infected by one of your rocks. Making her act out as you saw before. We need you to shot her with the gun in order to remove the effects of the rock."
"I'm not going to shot my sister! I just found her. There has to be another way."
Alex stopped the three of you and stood in front of you.
"Look, you haven't been with Kara for years. She's my sister too and this is the only way we can help her. You shoot her and we bring her in to help her heal."
You were still hesitant about it.
"I promise. Kara will be okay."
Lucy added.
With no other choice, you agreed to help them. You flew back out to the city, spotting Kara in the middle of all the chaos again.
"Well look who decided to join us. My dead sister."
Her words hurt but Lucy and Alex had warned you about her. You closed her eyes and quickly shot her. Red powder flew out of her and the next thing you knew, she was quickly falling down. You reached her in time to catch her and brought her back to the DEO where Lucy and Alex were waiting.
"Thank you for saving her. I don't know what we could have done without you. I'll take you to her."
"Just give me a minute."
Alex nodded and followed out the team to Kara's room while you stayed with Lucy.
"Don't. I know what you're thinking and Kara needs you. Yes, she has Alex but she needs you too."
"You don't know that. I've been gone for so long and she's made a life for herself already. I'm just going to ruin things."
"You won't. Kara never told Alex about you because she was afraid that Alex would think that Kara wouldn't need her. She needs the both of you and you need to go in there and be there until she wakes up."
You sigh and eventually nod.
"Thank you.... I never caught your name."
"Lane, Lucy Lane. I must say it was certainly nice to meet you (y/n) Zor-El."
You blushed at the way she said your name and followed her to Kara's room.
Kara didn't wake up until a couple of hours later.
"Rao! I thought I was imaging things."
She sped over to you, giving you the warmest hug you've had since Krypton. It almost made you want to cry. Kara must have been feeling the same way but she didn't hold back her tears. Ever since you were little, you had always been the strong one for your sister and this was no exception. You held her as she cried until she eventually pulled back, wiping her tears away.
"I can't believe you're here! I thought I had lost you."
"I missed you so much Kara. I didn't think I was ever going to find you."
She gave you a small smile.
"Well you did. Just like you've always done. Unfortunately, you had terrible timing."
"What happened out there was not your fault. It wasn't you and don't you dare think that it was. Lucy told me about the rocks and I am more than positive someone planted one where they knew you would be."
Kara sighs, realizing there was no hiding from her older sister. You were always so good at knowing how she was feeling.
Just then, Lucy came in with some paperwork for you.
"If you're going to stay, then you need to fill all of this out so we can give you a proper identity."
You nodded, unable to say anything in front of her. Too afraid you would say something dumb. After dealing with the kryptonite problem, you were no longer ignoring that feeling you had when you first saw Lucy.
"Oh Rao. You like her!"
Kara yelled a little too loudly.
"I do not! I was just distracted."
"Yes, distracted by how gorgeous she is."
Years later, Kara would still bring up how much of a mess you were before you started dating. Claiming that you were whipped before Lucy even asked you out on a date. There was no point in denying it. Lucy had you whipped since day one and there was nothing wrong with that.

This is a story no man in Lumenter will ever hear, no man except for an Arnesen, for his stories are dull and generic to the ears of the masses, except for us, because he is the very reason why our people traveled this far east, why kingdoms in Erisgi fell and rose, why I... even existed in the first place.
