You had met Bex when the two of you landed roles in the same movie. It didn't take long for the two of you to grow close. She was friendly and pretty much laid back so it wasn't difficult to get along with her. Hollywood rarely had these types of people and so when you found someone like this, it was hard to keep away.

After finishing filming the movie, the two of you kept in touch. Going on vacations together, as well as going to award shows as each others date but nothing ever came out of it. The two of you were just best friend and nothing more no matter how much you wish you could change that. As far as you knew, Bex was straight.

Bex had recently landed a new role on one of your favorite tv shows and the two of you had gotten together to celebrate the success of her landing the role. She was telling you all about it when you noticed the actress that played your favorite character on the show. You just wanted to run out when you finally noticed that she was actually coming over to her.

Lana placed a hand on Bex's shoulder to get her attention. She turned around and smiled when she noticed her new costar.

"Lana! I'm glad you made it. Thank you for coming. Oh, this is (y/n)."

"Pleasure to meet you, (y/n). Bex has told me a lot about you."

You were still a little starstruck while she continued to hold out her hand for you to shake.

"I'm sorry Lana. She's just a little starstruck, she's not usually like this. She just loves your character."

The two of them sat down and Bex used this opportunity to give you a light kick, causing you to wince in pain and turn around to see who had done. Bex gave you a look and you soon realized what had happened.

"I'm sorry Lana. I'm just a big fan of yours. It's so lovely to meet you."

"It's quite alright. I'm a fan of yours as well. I've loved the roles you've been taking these past couple of years."

And with that, the conversation took off. Lana and you discussed about the various movies she wanted to do after the season was over and even asked you for your opinions on what she should try out for and so on.

Bex had not seen this coming. She did not expect for you and Lana to hit it off so quickly. It took her a couple of days to even get you to open up and here you were, revealing most of your secrets to Lana. It stung a little but she didn't say anything. Although, the more she said quiet, the more she began to realize that she didn't care that you were already opening up to Lana. She care over the fact that you were practically flirting with Lana in front of her. You had never done that with her. Did that mean that you didn't like her? Were you just simply her best friend and nothing else was coming out of it?

"Excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom."

You nodded and let her pass by before going back to your contestation with Lana.

Bex was livid when she came back to find the two of you practically on top of each other. She however didn't realize that your nose had started to bleed. Rushing over to the table to give you a piece of her mind, she stopped when she noticed the various napkins surrounding you.

"Are you okay? What happened?"

She finally asks, feeling bad that she almost let her jealousy ruin a friendship.

"I'm fine. I think it's just allergy season again."

You thank Lana and Bex for the evening but told them you would be leaving early to deal with the nosebleed. The two wanted to come over and help you but you insisted for them to stay and enjoy the warm meal.

The entire time that Bex was with Lana, she couldn't help but feel guilty about earlier. She almost yelled at her friend and costar and for what reason? She wasn't dating her.

"Alright, spill it. You're clearly not paying a thing to what I was saying."

"What? Of course, I was."

"I asked if I could have your car and you just nodded."

Bex sighed, knowing there was no way for her to get out of it.

"Okay, I was just thinking about (y/n). I should have gone with her."

"It's not really about the fact that you didn't go to her house right?"

"No. I just realized some feelings that I've been hiding and they came to light just a while ago."

"She feels the same way. You should go to her place and talk to her."

"Wait, how do you know?"

"Oh, our little chat was very illuminating. She kept complimenting you every second she could."

Bex quickly paid for the dinner and thanked Lana for her advice. She broke every speed limit to arrive to your place within minutes.

"Bex? What are you doing here? I thought you would still be with Lana."

"She was the one that actually sent me here. I need to confess something."

You motioned for her to come in and led her to the couch so you could talk.

"Is everything okay?"

"I should have told you a long time ago but I was scared because well our friendship was starting and I didn't it would have been a good idea."

"Told me what?"

"That I like you, (y/n). I like you a lot."

You stayed quiet, trying to take in what she had said. She took your silence as if you weren't going to return her feelings so she stood up and began her walk to the door.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything."

You grabbed her hand and pulled her down to sit on your lap.

"Nonsense. I like you too."

With your confession, she leaned in to kiss you. After a couple of seconds, she pulled back and let her forehead rest against yours.

"This all feels very much like we're in middle school."

"I don't mind so much. You got the girl, didn't you?"

"I did, didn't I?"
