《You/Katie Mcgrath and others Imagines》You/Lena Luthor - Salt

Summary: You borrow too much salt from her
AN: Prompt by: Janafo28
You first noticed Lena when she had moved in to the apartment next to yours. The first thing you had noticed was how beautiful she was and then the accent she had. You couldn't quite place where it was from but you just knew it wasn't from here.
"Hey, you must be the new neighbor. I'm (y/n)."
You held out your hand for her to shake and bit your lip when you felt your heart beat faster as she shook your hand.
"I'm Lena. Pleasure to meet you, (y/n)."
"Do you need any help?"
"Oh not at all but thank you for offering. This was just the last box."
"Of course. Don't even mention it. I'll let you get to unpacking. Let me know if you need any help. I'm the one besides you."
"Will do. Thanks again."
You gave her a smile and headed back to your apartment to tell Alex what just had happened.
"And she had the sexiest accent, I've ever heard of."
"(y/n), please don't tell me you're already crushing on her. You just saw her."
"And? She could very well be the love of my life."
Alex can't help but roll her eyes. Sometimes you tended to get a little crazy and did things solely for the fact that you had a crush on someone. She couldn't wait to see what you would do this time.
"Alright. Just please don't do anything stupid. I don't want to see you going to the bakery to buy cakes because she works there and you wanted to see her."
"I promise I won't"
The two of you hung up after promising to hang out sometime soon.

It had been several days since Lena had moved in and you had yet to see her again. She was always out of her apartment way too early in the morning and would come home late at night. You weren't sure what she worked on but you could only assume it was something important.
Finally, no longer being able to stand not seeing her, you decided to go knock on her door during one of the free weekends.
"Oh hey, (y/n)."
"H-hey, Lena."
"What can I do for you?"
"Oh um I was wondering if you had some salt. I was cooking dinner and realized that I don't have any salt. I can't really go out and leave my food like that. It'll turn out wrong."
She cut you off in the middle of your rambling.
"No need to explain. Just a sec."
She went inside and came out with a couple of salt packets.
"They are handy when I have to take my food to the office."
"Oh. Okay, thank you."
Yet went back to your apartment and tossed the salt in one of your drawers. You didn't need the salt but it gave you an excuse to talk to her.
Every other day, you would go up to her door and ask her for salt. Always giving different excuses as to why you didn't have any. She didn't seem to mind or it must have amused her that she never said anything.
No one knew about your salt drawer until Alex had decided she wanted to cook with you and was looking for a spoon in your drawers.
"(Y/n), what's all this?"
You hadn't noticed her snooping around until she showed you the pile of salts.
"Nothing! I've just bee collecting salt."

"Collecting salt? You're a god awful liar. Please don't tell me you've been over there to ask her for salt just so you could talk to her?"
The look you gave her answered her questions. Alex groaned loudly and shook her head.
"God. My sister really is an idiot. Why don't you just go talk to her?"
"Have you seen her?"
"She's like a goddess and I'm just a peasant."
"Please. Don't flatter yourself, that's still to high for you."
You went to go smack her arm but she stopped you.
"I'm kidding! You're gorgeous. Now go out and talk to her. I'm sure she'll love to go out on a date with you."
"I can't Alex. I'm scared of her saying no."
She didn't say anything as she went outside and knocked on her door.
"Lena, right?"
"Um yeah. Who are you?"
"I'm the sister of that idiot. She's been stealing your salt just so she could talk to you. She's been wanting to ask you out but she's too much of a chicken."
You wanted to earth to open up and swallow you whole. You're entire face was red and you just wanted to drop dead.
Lena just smile and looked over at you.
"I know. If she had been paying attention. She would have noticed the little notes I would leave her on the salt packets. I would love to go out on a date with you. My number is in one of the packets. Text me the details."
Alex looked too smug after Lena had closed the door.
"See? That wasn't so bad. Now go look for her number."
You almost wanted to slap yourself for not paying attention. Most of the packets had little notes for you. After finding her number, you finally sent her a message with the details of the date.
'It's about time' She answered

From the Final World
I have lived a long, long time. Longer than the universe knows; longer than any star has seen or traveling light records. My memories; that is all that is left that knows that length, and that which was seen within it. Then again, that is all that ever did. When I am gone, it will be forgotten, a truth and a history lost forever no matter who or what tries to find it. I think that is why I write this now. A record, or a lament, of the most significant being of all time. It is a prideful exaltation of endless triumph, or the dread condemnation of infinite evil. I don’t know which; I shall leave it for others to judge. I could explain further, of course. I could list the sins that have been committed, the deeds that have been done. Yet for now, I believe this is enough. Her story will speak for itself. About the good, and evil, in the heart of a single girl burdened with more than her fair share. And how she reacted to it. So, I will tell her story. Of gods and devils, mortals and monsters, of legends long forgotten and civilizations long turned to dust. And in the end, I hope she knows herself, whether it is salvation, or destruction, she should receive.
