Summary: Takes place during Dark Phoenix. You've always been close to Jean. When she gets hit, something happens to you making you realize your true feelings for her.

You didn't want to let Jean go with the rest if the team but she insisted it was going to be fine. The team had decided you were too valuable to bring you in so you were left behind. It annoyed you to no end to watch as Scott took her hand and led her inside the ship.

You had join Xavier to see the broadcast and the entire time you kept thinking something was going to go wrong. You had managed to make a dent on his chair and despite him telling you to calm down, you were worried.

As soon as you saw the explosion, you broke. You fell to your knees and cried out not believing that Jean was now gone.

"(Y/n)? (Y/n)! Look she's still alive."

You wiped away your tears and looked towards the screen to see her being surrounded by some type of fire. It was being absorbed by her and all you could do was helplessly watch. Not knowing what was happening to her. Another dent to Xavier's chair was made when you noticed who brought Jean back.

You rushed outside to hug her. Your eyes were red from all the tears you had shed when you believed she had died and despite her teasing you about it, you didn't seem to mind it. She was here and that's all that mattered.

Things were not the same after the explosion in the campsite. You felt...strange. Like all the feelings you had pushed deep down in your mind had broken out and all you could feel was the rage you had and the love you had for Jean. Two very powerful emotions that you had pushed deep down so you wouldn't hurt anybody.

You pushed Scott aside and gently picked up Jean to take her back inside. Scott couldn't do anything but watch as you were far stronger than him to fight you.

You stayed beside her bedroom and watched as she tossed and turned. Despite you best attempts to wake her up, Jean seemed to be in some coma like state. You were surprised when she opened her eyes with the similar look you had when you were hit by the explosion she had caused. The two of you were furious. Not exactly a good combination for anyone. With both of your powers, you guys were unstoppable.

Jean had told you what had happened and you were furious at Xavier for what had happened. Normally, you would try to talk yourself out of anything but you didn't bother to do so as you rushed down to Cerebro and used your heat vision to destroy the whole thing.

With that done, you and Jean headed out of the school to take care of some things. You were very protective of Jean that if anyone that you deemed to be too dangerous for Jean, you took care of them.

It had gotten to the point that the entire country was looking for the two of you. That didn't stop you. You didn't have any weakness and you weren't exactly a mutant that their repressors didn't not work on you. You took care of the agents that had come down to capture the two of you and headed to another location.

"Jean, (y/n), you don't have to do this. We can help the two of you."

You rolled your eyes when you saw Xavier and the rest of the team. It almost made you laugh when you realized they thought they could actually stop you. You were practically made out of steel. The only thing in your mind was to keep Jean safe.

That's exactly what you did when you took them down one by one. Starting with Xavier for what he had done and ending with Scott for the simple fact that he wanted to be with Jean.

You took great pleasure on toying with him, making him think that he had a chance against you when you pretend to be hurt. Jean simply stood to the side, watching as you took care of them. After toying with him for a while, you finally got bored enough. As a last fuck you to Scott, you pulled Jean in for a deep kiss, making sure he could see how much she was enjoying it before knocking him out.

After that the two of you were left alone. Jean practically did what she wanted. With your help, she had the world bending over for her. No one wanted the girlfriend of Jean Grey to obliterate their country.
