Summary: You find out Melissa has a love interest in the new season.

You had never been a jealous type. There were instances of your jealously showing but you put a stop to it when you realized how silly you would have looked if you acted upon it. This time was completely justifiable. The new guy that got hired had not gotten the hint that Melissa was taken. Sure, the two of you kept it on the down low but everyone working in the show knew that the two of you were dating.

"Babe. You know it's all pretend, right?"

She says's one day after walking up to you for her break. Both you and Melissa hardly got to spend any time together so the two of you would randomly visit each other. Either on her set or in your office.

"I know but I can't help myself. There's something about that guy that I can't trust."

Melissa moved to sit on your lap, wrapping an arm around your neck to pull you in for a kiss.

"I only have eyes for you. He's just a coworker and if he tries anything, you'll be the first to know."

True to her word, she came to you a couple of weeks in.

"Please don't do anything. I'm telling the producers and director first thing in the morning so he's taken care of. I don't want you risking your profession because you had to teach him a lesson."

She apparently knew you too well considering that was the first thing you were thinking of. The second thing was to make sure that she was alright and nothing other than an unscripted kiss happened. This made you snap out of it and focus on her.

The rest of the day, the two of you spent it together. You made sure she was alright and kept an eye on her in case she didn't want to tell you something. Your night was spent cuddling with her while you told her stories about your childhood. She seemed to loved those as they always got her to smile.

The director was looking for any reason to fire him that when they heard what he had done, his last episode was filmed that day and Melissa wasn't allowed to be alone with him.

You were just entirely grateful that Melissa was alright and that nothing had happened to her. It made you realize that being jealous was never a good thing since if you hadn't listen to Melissa then you would have gotten into trouble
