"why not?" you asked, an evil grin on your face. "i'm the same person, am i not?"

"no, you're not." she said, watching as you stood on the edge of the roof. only minutes before had she found out that the love of her life had been working for hydra the entire time. natasha stopped, standing right in front of you.

"you think that you're scaring me? you won't do it. and even if you do, i'm not afraid of death."

steve stood beside natasha, worry for the woman etched in his face.

"you're right, i can't kill you."

you smiled, knowing what was coming, after all, you were on that roof all those years before.

"but he can."

with that, you were kicked off of that twenty story building, and natasha couldn't lie, she never had another relationship after you. and when she saw you in your wonderland after she died, she realized that even though you were brainwashed, it still was the best call.

but now, you got to live with natasha forever, and count for the days that you lost.
