It has been almost three weeks since Samantha saved Vixen. Tanker took to him just like Oreo and Fluffier has done.

It is adorable to see the three of them want to take care of the baby fox. Something I thought the female animals would do faster than a male, but I was so wrong with how gentle they are with the fox.

Samantha says that the three of them are almost like training Vixen since the fox is actually potty trained already. Never once did she do anything but clean up the mess once the fox was allowed to free roam with the cast off, but learned from watching the others on where they do their business.

Lola has got everything set up for me to surprise Samantha. I got this one haul to do but it will only take one night technically. I am not with Samantha right now but will be going through Blue Sky's and plan to pick her up to bring with me.

Tonight will be our night before we deliver the haul I got now, since the factory doesn't want it until that set day. Then come back to Blue Sky's to get our new house key and hand over the payment.

Jovi and Lola are going to take the fur babies to Gram's tonight. Now, Gram has fell in love with Vixen so much and spoils him just as much as the others. They are always in the best hands with Gram when Samantha and I do something and can't have them with us. Samantha's mom is also amazing and seems to at Gram's just about all the time.

The last three weeks, I am with Samantha when not on the road and we have went on many dates since. Tonight though, I plan on us stopping by the amusement park, since there is a place for semi's to park.

Shockingly.

May be cheesy but I want to propose there.

I pull the semi over and pray this shop has the ring I have been looking for.

In three weeks, I have visited over eighteen stores and not a one of them have the ring I would like to get Samantha. I get told that they can order it but thing is I don't want something like that shipped and risk being lost.

I open the door and Tanker follows me as I walk into the jewelry store.

"Good morning sir. How may I help you today?" A nice guy asks.

I go about explaining the ring I have been looking to buy and he nods slowly.

"Well, I hate to say it but we don't carry that particular cut. Take a look at these. A few is similair but a little more on the expensive side." He points over to the side of him.

I follow him because at this point I can't fight getting the ring I may want. I just hate to settle for less than perfect for my woman.

"Now this is slightly different than what you described, but it does have more detail. Then there is this one the stone is not the color you had asked for but it has a nice cut and a soft design." The guy puts them on the counter.

"May I?" I point to one.

"Of course." He nods and motions that I can pick it up.

I pick up the entire box and the way the stone shines in the light and the detail has me floored. This is better than I was thinking about in the first place.

"I will take this one, please." I smile and hand the box back to him.

"Very elegant choice, sir. So, I can do payment plans if you would like." He carries the box to the register.

"Actually, I am paying for the full price." I nod and pull my wallet out.

The last few hauls I saved more than enough cash to pay and not show on the account to keep it hidden from Samantha. Not the smartest to keep so much on me, but I like for her to be surprised and not know something was bought like this before hand.

"Oh, okay sir. Cash or card?"

"Cash."

"Well then, let me cut some of it price off."

"There is no need. I am happy to pay asking price." I smile, cutting him off.

"Oh no, young man. The store policies I started long ago, if someone pays with cash I take some charge off because I don't have to use the card companies to get the money. I spend less so charge less. No reason for me to be greedy." The guy laughs.

I pay for the ring and he places it over into a white velvet box.

"I wish for you and the soon to be Mrs. all the best on the start of forever." He smiles.

"Thank you, sir." I smile, before Tanker and I walk out of the shop.

We get back in the truck and within five hours, Blue Sky's sign comes into view.

"We are in our home town now Tanker." I glance over to him and he lets out a happy wip with his tail wagging.

For the first time ever, I am going to not have Tanker with me while on the road for two nights. He will be staying with Gram too, because going to the amusement park would make it to hard, with taking Samantha on a couple of rides. I don't trust anyone else and refuse to have to leave him on the ground with the people that control the rides.

I pull up to the vet clinic and Tanker jumps out with me. We walk to the front door and I know it is right at closing time. Oreo, Fluffier, and Vixen all come racing up and I pet their heads before standing up straight again. I wave to Lola and she points to the back with a smile on her face.

I walk to the back and Samantha is at her desk while Jovi is at his. He looks up and smirks with a wave. I quietly walk around and behind Samantha, who has not seen me for her hair hanging loose today and shielding her face.

"Hi little paws." I whisper by her ear.

Samantha jerks to the side and moves her hair.

"Shane! I thought you wouldn't be in for another two nights." She gets out of the chair and kisses me quickly.

"I got a surprise for you. The next two nights will just us in the rig. Lola and Jovi have your schedule. Lola spoke with Gram, who is more than happy to take all four fur babies in tonight with your Mom there too." I smile and wrap my arms around her waist.

"Of course, Mom doesn't work the next few days. So she isn't going to miss out on the fur babies loves." She laughs. "You are sneaky Mr. Thomas."
