Jovi lets me know that he has the patients that are scheduled, since there really is not that many this afternoon. Thankfully, it is a slower time because after sedating an animal we don't like to leave it until they are awake.

Jovi's words were the fox took to me and didn't scream so I should stay. There is something here with this baby just like it was with Oreo and Fluffier.

Bring up my computer I get online and start searching on baby foxes. I don't know to much about them really.

Finding a wildlife number, I call them and explain what had happened. The guy told me that with the size of the fox that it may only be about two months old. To my surprise it is totally legal to have them as a pet in our state, so there is no worry about having to make the baby fend for itself.

Once I got off the phone with wildlife, a thought came to my mind. I feel connected to this baby, just like my other two fur babies. There is a large part that is attached quickly and I don't know how to teach him to fend for himself and after this he won't be able too. So he has to stay with someone and the wildlife mentioned putting it in the zoo if need be.

I can't let this baby live in the zoo.

Oreo and Fluffier have been laying here next to the crate, after they got a smell for the baby. Maybe they are accepting him into our animal family?

With a glance over to my cell, I pick it up. Shane! I completely forgot about our lunch time call. I dial his number and put the phone to my ear.

"Hey little paws." Shane's voice answers.

"Hey. Sorry, there was a emergency. A woman came in because she hit an animal then found out what it was and I lost my cool. Anyways, Jovi and I fixed up the poor boys leg which is the only injury everything else came back good."

"That is great. What animal is it?"

"A baby fox maybe around two months from what wildlife said based off what I told him on size and the weight we got. Also found out in this state it is legal to have one as a pet. The poor baby won't be able to fend for itself because I won't be able to teach it like its mom could have."

"Sounds like we may have another fur baby." Shane chuckles.

"Would you be okay with it? So far Oreo and Fluffier have been laying next to the crate."

"Plus, you're already attached too." Shane laughs. "I am great with it little paws. Isn't that one reason we bought a larger house too? For more fur babies to be saved. We both make enough, I am not worried about the cost of feed."

"Thank you Shane!" I smile wide.

"Samantha I love you and how big your heart is. This is one of the many things you do best. I wouldn't turn down you bringing a baby fox into our lives. The only animals I say no thanks is something crazy like a skunk." Shane laughs.

"No thanks." I laugh with him. "I will send you a picture of the little one soon."

"I would like that. Well I am excited to meet the new fur baby." I can imagine Shane smiling.

"I hope Tanker will take to him like Oreo and Fluffier has." I sigh.

"I bet he will, Tanker doesn't ever seemed bothered by wildlife."

Shane and I talk for a little bit longer and I am happy he is making good timing. Right when I was fixing to say something, the baby fox does his little scream out and Shane laughs on the line.

"Hey baby." I gently rub his head. The screaming stops and he looks up to me.

The fox tries to stand and I pick him up. Poor Oreo, whined some when he screamed. With the fox in my lap, Oreo stands next to me and gives the baby fox a lick.

"Awe Shane! Oreo just seemed to give the fox a kiss." I smile at them and pet Oreo's head, after putting Shane on speaker and laying the phone on my desk.

Fluffier jumps on my desk and he is purring when the foxes tail moves in his face. I think this will be the perfect match, just one fur baby left to meet the baby fox and that is Tanker.

"All I am missing is Tanker here to meet the baby." I smile.

"We will be there before you know it sweet girl." Shane sighs.

I stand up and walk over to the shelf to grab a bottle and the puppy milk in a can. I open the can and poor some in the bottle. Taking it back to my seat, I offer the bottle to the fox and he suckles away.

"Well he is taking the milk easy. I didn't want to give him any of the solid canned meat food with him coming off the sedation medicine." I talk out loud since Shane is still on the line.

"That is good right?"

"Oh yeah, it is very good."

"Seems like you will have your hands full until I get back." Shane chuckles.

"Yeah, right now he has a soft cast on his leg. To help keep from an infection or ripping the stitches. He should be able to still move around on his own." I watch as the baby drinks.

"So names is something for next step." Shane amuses.

"Yes. I thought maybe Sneaks, since most foxes tend to be sneaky." I smile, but the baby doesn't react to the name.

"What do they call them other than baby foxes?" Shane questions.

"Well they can be called pups or kits. Could also be called Vixen instead of fox." I ramble off the proper names.

The baby stops feeding and looks up to me.

"Now Kit or Vixen would be cute." Shane replies and it gets the foxes attention.

"You won't believe this Shane. One of those two the baby is reacting." I laugh.

"Kit?" Shane says and waits a few minutes.

"Hmm, he is just looking at the phone." I watch him.

"Vixen." Shane laughs.

The baby fox starts to let a sound come from its mouth that is like a bark and scream mix.

"I think that is the one." I laugh and Shane agrees.

"Well Vixen, welcome to our family." Shane gives a happy sigh.

"Hi my sweet boy, Vixen." I smile and kiss his head.

Vixen, nuzzles his head into my chest and I can't help but smile. I move my hand to show loves to Oreo and Fluffier too, so they don't feel left out.

"What do you boys think? Happy to have another brother." I smile.

Oreo barks, and Fluffier purrs. Even on the phone I hear Tanker.

I can't help but laugh with Shane.

Shane and I say love you before hanging up and I smile looking at the new baby of the family Shane and I are building.

I take him outside for a moment in the fenced in area with Oreo and Fluffier. Vixen is to cute I make sure to get a picture for Shane.

I send the picture to Shane to where he can see the new baby we have.
