《Taking My Heart (Completed)》30. Feels Right

While in the store, I grabbed food for not only tonight but also for tomorrow. By time I got out Shane and Tanker are at my car. Oreo has his head pressed right against the window by Shane. I left my car running so they wouldn't get hot and I have my spare keys in my hand to unlock the car so no one could steal my car while my fur babies were inside.

"You were quick." Shane smiles and takes the bags out of my hands.

"Helps when you know where everything is in the store." I laugh. "Did you get what you needed?"

Shane nods. "That I did."

I use my key and open the trunk. Shane places the bags inside and I shut the lid.

"Thanks. So I guess instead of using the GPS you can just follow me."

Shane leans down and catches my lips in a short kiss.

I unlock the driver door and get in, looking back to the mirror to watch Shane and Tanker get in the semi. After the amount of time I spent in the truck with Shane being in my car makes me feel so small and like my butt is dragging the ground.

Letting out a small laugh to myself, I back the car up and move in front of Shane. I see him give a thumbs up and can hear when he putting it in gear. So I pull out to the stop light with him behind me as we waiting for the green arrow to signal we may go.

The drive is short since we hit the traffic just right and I pull in my drive way. While Shane pulls in right behind me on the concrete drive. It definitely works out great he pulled in no issue and should be able to back out easily too since my street doesn't get much traffic.

I get out and open the door for Oreo and Fluffier to jump out. In no time Shane is out of the truck with Tanker walking up to Oreo on the grass.

I open the trunk and grab out the grocery bags.

"I got those." Shane steps up completely.

"I can get a bag or two because you have your duffel too." I shake my head.

"Easy fix." Shane throws the duffel over his shoulder and still takes all the food bags.

I close the trunk and walk up to the front door. Sliding the key in, I turn to unlock it and open it wide. With a step inside, I flip the light switch and Shane walks in.

"Nice open floor plan." Shane smiles.

"Thank you. I don't like many walls making empty space and the living room kitchen combo is nice. There is a bathroom through that door and then one this room is a catch all really. The bedroom is over here to this side." I step over and flip the switch around the corner as I point things out.

"You can place your duffel where ever you would like. There is also a master bath." I point it out.

Shane looks around the room and smiles. "Closets?" He points to the doors on either side of the bed.

"Yes. It felt right to put the bed there with a nightstand on both sides because it fit having the closets like that. Honestly, you can use the closet on that side because it's empty to where your clothes don't have to be folded overnight." I smile.

Shane opens the door and places his duffel inside and closes the door back.

"Nothing has to be hung up." He smirks.

I walk to the kitchen where he placed the food bags once he walked in. Washing my hands before I start pulling out all the food, sticking items where they belong.

"What may I help with?" Shane wraps his arms around my waist.

"You can tell me which meal you prefer. I got things for beef quesadillas, teriyaki chicken, or bacon cheese pasta."

"Pasta since it sounds like the quickest thing." Shane laughs and kisses my neck.

"They are all quick because it's called an stove or an air fryer." I laugh and wiggle over to where I can put some of the items up.

"Okay well they all sound to good to choose from." Shane shrugs.

"We can go with the pasta. It has been awhile since I made it." I smile and put everything up that won't be needed after washing my hands again.

I place a pan on the stove and add all the bacon to it so it cooks together. Then I grab a pot and add water to it, along with a little salt getting to ready to boil. Finally, I move back to the counter and start gratting the cheese so it melts better.

Shane moves to stand behind me and rubs my arms.

"Close your eyes." He whispers in my ear.

I set the grater and cheese down before wiping my hands on the towel nearby.

Before I can turn around, Shane's hand is at my hip to keep my back to his front. I close my eyes to do as he asked nicely, before leaning my head back to his shoulder.

I can feel him move slowly and his breathing increases just a little. A cold piece touches my chest and slides up to my chest as he removes the hand on my waist. My hair is brushed off to the side, before a cold line is gently around my neck and down my chest a little.

Hands are on my hips spin me gently. Warm, soft lips find mine and I kiss him back with everything I have.

His hands cup my cheeks before he pulls back. I open my eyes to look in his.

"I love you Samantha. I have never met someone like you and I know that I never will. You have my heart." Shane's voice is deep but so very soft.

My hand moves to the necklace I know is around my neck. Moving my head down I see that the necklace is a beautiful heart shape locket.

This is the happiest I have ever felt and I can't believe that Shane has broke my barrier in the short time.

It all feels right.

I look back up to him as my lips find his. My heart swells and hurts so much with the love I have for Shane.

"I love you Shane." I smile and look in his eyes, pulling back from the kiss.
