Three loud knocks on Eunji's door were heard throughout the whole bungalow, waking her up at once. Grumpily, she grabbed her phone and sat up.

It was 0:30. In the middle of the night.

"What is going on...?" Eunji rubbed her eyes, yawning wholeheartedly. Opening the door, she wasn't even surprised to see Jungwon standing in her door frame well-prepared.

"What?" She slurred quietly, trying to not wake up Youngmin, "Do vampires not sleep?"

"Of course they do."

"Then why the fuck did you wake me up in the middle of the night? Unannounced?"

"We literally talked about it during breakfast." Jungwon pouted, shaking his head at the girl in front of him, "I asked you if you wanted to take a walk with me. You said yes."

"Yes, a walk. A normal walk." She emphasized, while scoffing at him, "Who said I agreed to taking a walk in the middle of the night? Isn't that like super dangerous?!"

"It is. I'm sure it is." He nodded as if it was no big deal, causing her to scoff again, "But I'm here so there's nothing for you to worry about."

"I think that alone is something I should be worried for." Eunji mumbled, still sleepily.

Sighing, she was slowly starting to wake up as she glared at the boy once again, "Give me a moment to change my clothes."

"There's no need."

"Are you serious?" Eunji ridiculed, spinning around to give him a full 360 degree view of her bunny Pyjamas. "I won't go anywhere looking like this."

Jungwon just laughed, covering his mouth so his laughter wouldn't wake any of their roommates up.

Before he could continue saying whatever he was about to say, she already shut her door right in his face.

And after an eternity, Eunji was done, tiptoeing a few steps before she closed her door behind her.

"You look like you are about to rob a bank." Jungwon chuckled at the girl who was now putting up her hood.

She was wearing sunglasses, a black jacket and a gigantic backpack that the boy was afraid that she would fall backwards or trip.

"It's way past curfew, Jungwon." She hissed, signaling him to be quiet. Despite already being suspended once, Eunji was incredibly scared of being caught by the teachers.

"Alright, let's go then." The boy nodded, swiftly taking off the girl's backpack to carry it himself.

As a matter of course, he walked ahead, leaving Eunji behind stunned.

"Wait up!" She whisper-yelled, running after him.

Her imaginations of a romantic walk through gorgeous green meadows with sheep and birds chirping was quickly shut down by the cruel reality.

Fighting her way through branches and leaves, she couldn't help but complain again. The only light that could help her orientate was the moon light. So she put down her sunglasses.

But at the same time, it wasn't too bad. Walking behind him, she had the great opportunity to admire his back profile as he effortlessly walked ahead.

It seemed like he was floating right above the ground.

That's how gracefully he was moving.

She just didn't understand. Despite carrying her huge backpack, he seemed so unbothered while she was nearly dying behind him from exhaustion.

"Jungwon, do you even know where we are going?" Eunji sighed when she noticed leaves all over her jacket, "We aren't even following a path..."

"I don't know where we are going either."

"I swear, if we get eaten by a grizzly bear tonight, I will never trust you ever again."

"If we get eaten, there won't be an again anyway." Jungwon shrugged, making her gasp in complete disbelief before shaking her head again.

"I really shouldn't have trusted you."

"Too late." Jungwon abruptly stopped, causing her to bump right into him, "We've arrived."

Eunji walked past him and just when she was about to complain, the beautiful view cut her off before she could utter another word.

"It's.."

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Jungwon completed her sentence, smiling contentedly at the girl next to him. He noticed how her eyes were sparkling in enchantment in the moon light. His smile grew before he turned away from her.

"How did you find this place?" Eunji started stumbling forward, still stunned.

With his hand extended behind her back, he made sure she wouldn't trip, "I guess, my absurd instincts aren't that useless after all." He chuckled, glancing at the view in front of him himself.

Despite the night's darkness taking away most of the beauty that could have been unfolded in front of them, it was still beautiful in their eyes. The reflection of the moon in the gigantic lake which was in the middle of the picture, was the first thing that caught Eunji's attention.

Fireflies and Mosquitoes flew around all over the place, but the girl couldn't care less. Far away there was an owl cooing.

She silently sat down. The damp grass immediately started to soak her clothes. Jungwon followed her actions and sat down without another word as well.

He would glance at her from time to time, enjoying to see how her expression would remain stunned.

"Do you like it that much?" Jungwon raised an eyebrow expectantly.

"I do." She spoke. That's when she finally turned around to him, "I like it so much."

"More than me?"

At this, she hit his shoulder playfully.

"Way more." She smirked, turning to look ahead again.

So the two fell silent again. A comfortable silence engulfed them, when Eunji started again, "You know, during moments like these, I really want time to stop for a moment."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't want to grow up yet." Eunji chuckled sadly, suddenly letting herself fall on her back to look up to the sky. "I want to stay like this forever."

Jungwon nodded thoughtfully, "I feel the same."

"Woah, I just killed the mood, Sorry." Realization hit Eunji as she sat up, shaking her head, "I didn't mean to get all sentimental all of a sudden."

Putting her hand down, she suddenly touched his hand, causing her to flinch right away.

"Sorry." She quickly apologized, feeling embarrassed.

But to her surprise, he would take her hand and intertwine her fingers with his.

He actually expected her to pull away from him.

But she didn't.

Though Eunji was taken aback and a deep blush painted her already reddened face, she didn't avoid him this time.

They stayed like this for the next two hours, talking and admiring the view, while putting their tired souls and minds to rest.

"We should go back." Eunji would mutter after a while as she felt rain drops falling onto her hand, pretending as if nothing has happened.

"Yeah." Jungwon looked down to their hands with a smile, "We probably should."

"See you tomorrow." Jungwon whispered, still smiling.

He looked as flawless as before, while she on the other hand had the appearance of a scarecrow.

Her hair was messed up from the rain and there were countless leaves stuck in her hair and jacket.

Jungwon attempted to remove a few of them but they both knew that it was no use.

After the hellish way back, the only thing that was on Eunji's mind was to wrap herself in her blanket and sleep, "Yeah..Good night."

"Wait, before you leave.." Jungwon suddenly took her hand again, reminding her about them holding hands at the lake just a moment ago.

She was taken aback, her face warming up again.

"What—?"

In the palm of her hand was now a small package as she looked up to him in confusion.

He on other hand just winked, "To make sure you won't die of starvation. Thank you for coming with me today." Jungwon would simply say before turning around to enter his own room.

Eunji just stood there still, stunned at the boy's unpredictability.

Opening the little package, she found heart-shaped chocolate inside of it. Now it was her heart that was set on fire once again.

These were probably from one of Jungwon's countless admirers since it was valentine's day recently.

And despite knowing that Eunji didn't care.

Her heart was racing and the only thing she could think of were her feelings for him. The feelings which were growing with each day that passed.

"I will confess to him tomorrow. No matter what." She spoke with determination, holding tightly onto the sweet heart he gifted her.
