November 12th 2022
"The fuck? Brian, It's November we can't go swimming." Y/n spoke, looking over at the man that silently sipped away at his coffee. The manner was quiet for a Saturday, but most of the residents of this manner were out hungover or doing their own weekend shit.
So, it was only Y/n and the proxies home today.
Sally was visiting her childhood home where the new buyers had a little girl, so Sally took that as a chance to make a new friend other then sitting at the Mansion all day trying to get Y/n to play or do something with her.
"The lake is always warm, never gets cold." Brian stated, setting down his mug onto the marble table with a small CLINK.
"Right, Brian we're up north, it's practically winter...but whatever you say big guy." Y/n muttered, they were bored, so they were taking the bait of Brian's idea. "If you don't want to come that's fine, me and the others will just go." Brian sighed, now this caught Y/n's attention. "Fine! I'll go." Y/n huffed, pushing themselves out of their seat and watched Brian get up as well.
"Good, couldn't have our fun of the party staying at home." Brian chuckled, walking over to the sink and set the mug inside. "Go up to your room and get dressed, be down in thirty." Brian turned to Y/n, meeting their tired eyes.
"Yup."
Once Y/n ran through the halls, entering their dirty/clean room they began digging through their closet. "Shit! I don't have a pair of swimming trunks/ a swim suit!" Y/n scowled at themselves, looking around they finally came across a pair of what they were looking for, hanging off of the desk at the far side of the room.
"Uh...how did they get here?" Y/n raised their eyebrow, inspecting the clothes. "I swear to God if Jeff borrowed these again for some wack ass party I'm going to beat his ass." Y/n muttered, and began to undress.
.....
They looked at themselves in the mirror, feeling pride in their body for once.
"Damn! Missions really got me built!" Y/n smirked, looking over their frame. "Um, Y/n?" Someone called from the door, making Y/n's eyes widen in embarrassment. Tim stood at the door with a puzzled look, secretly trying to hold back a laugh.
"What?" Y/n asked awkwardly, grabbing a sweatshirt off the ground and slid it on quickly.
"You ready? You've been checking yourself out for a bit." Tim chuckled, he didn't even wait for Y/n and closed the door, walking away. "Damn pest." Y/n muttered, lazily swiping a pair of leggings/jeans off of the floor.
Y/n hugged themselves as they walked, it was colder than hell out in the woods as the proxies walked down to the lake.
Toby on the other hand was only in his black swimming trunks, walking ahead of the bunch going on and on about how "it's warm out and your just pussies." Tim had on his blue jeans and a brown cozy sweater, a Mark Twain book under his arm. He wasn't going to swim he said, didn't feel like it.

Brian had on blue jeans as well, what the fuck is it with them and blue jeans? Anyways, and had on a grey sweatshirt. His jeans looked weird with his swim trunks on underneath, but it was funny.
Kate stayed in the back with Y/n, her black leggings and white sweatshirt hung loosely to her frame as she observed the forest around her. She wasn't going to swim, she was going to go out looking for dear.
Tobys body was layered with bruises and scratches, different story for each one.
"Down there." Brian pointed, below the trees, there was blue waters flowing by a sandy shore.
The fog of the woods made the scene so mystic, it even got Y/n to forget about the cold.
"Whoa." Y/n gasped, it was beautiful.
.......
The scene was beautiful, my legs began moving on their own down the hill.
"C'MON!" Toby pushed past me, running to the lake. Before any of us could say anything, he just ran into the water and began running around like a damn dog.
As we all got set up, well Tim got set up on the ground with his brown coat and other shit he brought for reading. Brian told me to quickly undress and run right into the water, so then it wouldn't be so cold.
I got as close as I could to the shore and slid off my sweatshirt, feeling the breeze nip my skin made me hiss. Then I slid of my pants and tossed them over to the bottom of the tree where Tim sat, and ran into the lake.
I was expecting to feel cold water splash up against my bare body, but instead it was warm....like really warm.
"The fuck? Why is it so warm?" I asked, looking up to Brian as he walked in. He had on a pair of red swimming trunks, his upper body displayed many scars alike to Toby, except he was actually built.
Who the fuck has a four pack these days, obviously not me the fuck.
"The natives, legend says that a chief of the Cherokee had a word with the cryptid of the waters and set some healing spell on it, plus the other lakes were getting polluted with some virus so the cryptid granted the people a fresh water source. I don't know, but it's what I've heard. Otherwise it could just be the hot spring up river, but I would like to believe that some kinda mysterious beast had to do with it." He shrugged, once he reached me, before I could tell what he was doing I felt his hands on my shoulders and violently pushed me into the water.
Seems like this man doesn't know his own strength.
God damn.
The warm liquid was refreshing, coming back up my hair stuck to my fore head as the sound of Toby laughing filled my ears. Brian was no where in sight, most likely underwater.

"That bitch!" I gasped, standing back up and splashed Toby for laughing at me.
"Brian Thomas! Get the fuck up here right now!" I shouted, I put on an angry act when really I was trying to hold back a smile. My hands clenched, mostly because of the cold.
In the distance, Brian popped up about twenty five feet away from me and Toby in the water. "Come get me! Loserrrr!" He then flipped me off and went back under, this only resulted in me getting splashed back by Toby.
"Fine, I will." I muttered, I put my arms above myself and dived under the water current. I kicked my legs behind myself, opening my eyes, the water was crystal clear with many beautiful rocks hiding in the sand.
Toby soon followed behind me, grabbing at my legs time from time but we still got Brian pretty good.
For a while I swam with the others, but it soon I just got to tired.
I sat by Tim for a bit, but he didn't keep the conversation going so I just went and sat on the rocks, watching Tony and Brian chase eachother in the water.
I shivered as I felt goose bumps grow on my bare skin, today definitely wasn't the day for swimming. Although the water was pretty warm, getting out was the worst part.
I spotted Toby getting out of the water, he walked over to Tim and grabbed two towels and began to walk over to me.
"I'm cold." I looked over at Toby as he climbed up on the rock besides me. He only chuckled as he handed me the f/c towel, he wasn't bothered because the fucker didn't have feeling in his flesh.
I looked away and back at the lake as I wrapped myself within the cloth, the trees beyond it and how the fog made the land look mystic.
"I have something to warm you up.." Toby began, I looked over at him as he reached over to the side of the rock to grab something out of Brian's pants. The rock felt cold and hard below my bottom, the towel didn't help at all as the fog carried the breeze with it across the lake.
I watched Toby pull out a pack of cigarettes, opening it, it displayed a whole roll of blunts. He smiled at me, taking out one and grabbed the red lighter that was inside of the pack of Marlboros. He lit it, making the strong smell bloom in my nose. Toby then reached out and grabbed my shoulder with his rough hand, tightening his grip on my wet skin. Toby signaled for me to open my mouth, which I parted my lips to. He reached his other arm over towards me and let the end of the blunt sit on my lips, a smirk was visible on his bruised face.
I could tell Brian had stopped doing his own thing in thing in the water, which I think he was looking for shells and crystals. Tim was to invested in his book to notice that Toby was having me smoke a roll with him, which if he saw he would be going ape shit on Toby.
"Do you feel it yet? Do you feel warm?" Toby whispered after I inhaled the substances hypnotic breath, Toby took the blunt back and put it up to his own lips, taking in a long drag showing he was used to this. Afterwards, he rolled the crumbled paper in-between his thumb and index finger in satisfaction. He let his arm rest on his bended knee as he too, watched the fog take it's place over the lake. It was calming, all of my problems melted away along with my train of thought.
I could already feel my eyes burning, a smile on my warm face. I wasn't cold anymore, I was warm from the unknown emotion.
"Rogers! What the hell?! She can't be fuckin smoking!" Brian suddenly shouted, we both watched the man come up to shore with a stern look on his face while ours held giggly smirks.
"What a Dad." I giggled, watching the man come up to us as we sat on the tall rock. "Can't be doing that shit without me atleast." Brian whispered, grabbing the blunt out of Toby's fingers and brought it up to his lips. Water dripped down his bare body, dampening the paper a bit. His dirty blond hair stuck to his forehead, his gapped smile made me smile as well.
What a dork.
"These aren't mine are they? Don't go digging in my shit anymore...limited supply y'know." Brian giggled, passing the blunt back to Toby and walked along the line of rocks back to the main part of shore where Tim was still sitting on the picnic blanket with his book.
My eyes layed glued to where Brian once stood five seconds ago, repeating his actions of bringing the blunt up to his lips and then taking it out, looking down on it and passing it back.
"Damn, this is some nice shit." I spoke out loud, looking over at Toby who was already looking at me. "Yessir..." Toby sighed, closing his eyes as he brought his hairy legs up to his chest. He was a skinny teen, like most, with his shoulder length shaggy brown hair.
Gotta love a hippie though.

Yet, life knows to shit on you when things are just getting good. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, author-san here! This is my first story, set up in a fantasy world. It's based on the medieval and steam era where magic is rare and alchemy is used widely used as a weapon by people. There would be lots of action, adventure, betrayal, tragedy, romance, etc. ahead. Warnings-The mc is a bit mean and foul-mouthed, introvert. There would be strong language and lots of monologue narration by the MC. The stories are fast-paced and progressing faster. The chapters update would be unstable, depending on my daily life. You would get fast updates... or slow. Also, English isn't my first language. So don't expect perfect grammar :( P.S. - I would like some constructive critique and feedback! It fills my motivation gauge and increases that rate of chapter/week. (/>3

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?
