Chapter 44: Spongebob

"Love."

Noo!! I still want to sleep! I ignore him and turn my body to the left to hopefully catch more sleep.

"Love." This time he starts tapping my arms and slightly shaking my body to wake me up. I hit his hand away from my arm like a pesky flies.

I heard him chuckle.

"Love you need to wake up. We are going to be late."

"Noooo." I whine in protest.

He then proceeded to kiss my whole face. When he saw that I am not reacting at all he decided to play dirty. Gideon started tickling me. Motherfreaker!

"Stooooppp!" I begged.

"I'll stop if you wake up."

"I'm awake! I am awake!" I roll on the other side to get away from the evil hands of Gideon.

"Finally awake love?"

I grumbled as I untangle myself from the duvet.

"Love?" I ignore him.

"Are you ignoring me love?" Yes I am. You sleep terrorist.

"Silent treatment? Well in that case." I suddenly became airborne. Gideon lift me and carry me to our shower stall.

"You know that I let you oversleep love right? It is already 9am love. We should be at the office an hour ago."

"I am still sleepy."

"It is your fault. I told you to stop watching another episode of spongebob but you still whine and said 'last one episode Gideon I promise' "

"It is also your fault because you let me watch it. And you gave in to my request so you are partly at fault. And you know I can't operate your humongous TV. You can just turn it off and I can never open it." I rebutted.

"Fine. Fine. Blame it on your poor boyfriend."

Poor boyfriend my butt.

He set up the temperature and pressure of the shower while I was sulking.

Like a child that needed assistance. He carefully removed my pajamas but leave my underwear on.

He proceeded to meticulously wash from on top of my head to the tip of my toes. Gideon is even started humming the opening song of spongebob. It made me so excited so I sang with him. Sulking forgotten silent treatment abort!

As we finish the song Gideon already finish washing my body.

He wrap one fluffy towel on my body and another on my hair.

"Go to the closet love and wear you clothes that I prepare then I'll come and fix your hair. We are running late already."

"Aye.aye! Captain!" I saluted him then run to the walk in closet. Being careful to not slip on the floor because it is embarassing.

I wear the clothes as instructed. Apply some deo on my armpits then I am done.

I ignore the lotions on the vanity because I can. Applying moisturizer is a hassle. My skin is still dry anyway.

I patiently wait for Gideon. He came after 5minutes and he is wearing a navy blue suit.

Wow.

Just wow.

He really should be a model. His looks should be shared to the world and not hidden behind office doors.

" okay love since we are out of time I'll just bun your hair."

I nodded in agreement.

We arrive at 10am. We are 2 hours late. Gideon is to blame. Spongebob is innocent. Spongebob is the victim!

Poor spongebob.

While we are walking through the lobby of the office I ask Gideon on how much is my deduction because I am two hours late.

He just scoffs at my question and then proceeded to pat my head. What am I a puppy?!

As soon as I step inside the room my 2 friends run towards me. No doubt worried.

"Did you get lucky that's why you're late?" Mark ask excitedly.

"No? I did not buy any powerlotto ticket. Should I?" I answered.

Mark's face became crestfallen.

"Nevermind Ella. Nevermind."

He turnaround and goes back to where he came.

I look at Eric for explanation but he just shrug his shoulders.

"Anyway why are you late Ella?"

"Well. It is really Gideon's fault. He did not turn off the Tv early so I watched spongebob until 1 in the morning. It is way past my bed time." I explained.

"You mean you did a spongebob marathon?" He clarified.

"Nooo.. I did not go on a marathon. I get tired just walking to the bathroom what makes you think I'll join a marathon."

I replied.

Eric closed his eyes and look up murmuring something. I heard the gist of it like "God give me strength." Is he sick?

"Ella not THAT marathon. When you watch a tv shows continuously in a single night it means you did a "marathon" so you did a "spongebob marathon" got it?" He explained.

"Ow. Yes. In that case I did that marathon thing."

"Now get back to work. Chase is not here today if you are wondering. He will be back on monday."

I am not wondering at all and who is Chase again?

Since I am late I plan to skip lunch to finish my work but Gideon is one step ahead of me. At 11:55am he stride inside my office without any notification, grab my hand and drag me towards his floor.

Our food was already laid out.

Chicken alfredo, croissants, 3 kinds of fruit juice, water and a brownie.

"Eat love. I am sorry that you skip breakfast because I woke you up late. So I know that you are famished already.

And I know you are planning to skip lunch."

I tried to protest but he raise his pointy finger like a teacher scolding his students so I shut up.

"After you eat I'll give your antihistamine medication."

We ate quietly. One scoop for him two scoop for me until we finish all the food.

I let out an unladylike burp which amused Gideon. He even pat my tummy. What am I a golden buddha?

Before I went out of his office he informed me that He will have a meeting at 4:30pm so He might go home late. He ask if I want to go home first. To Gideon's delight I decline since I want to go home with him.

I wave at Scott and the blonde secretary but as usual she just ignores me. She's so friendly isn't she?

The whole afternoon my friends and I quietly finish our work and at exactly 5pm we are done. I am so exhausted. Why do we have so many documents today? This is all Gideon's fault again. I am 100% sure. That man tsk. I have no words.

I went up on Olympus floor to see if He is done with his meeting. I saw that his office is close.

I went to Scott's room to ask if he knows anything about the meeting.

"Hey Scott what time do you think they'll be finish?"

"Maybe past 6pm Ella. Boss is with the other owner of the company we are taking over. Do you want me to inform Sir Rosen-Hower that you are here?"

I don't know what to do.

"Just tell him I am here and tell him to continue his meeting and don't mind me. I'll just entertain myself to pass the time."

I walk in front of his office back and forth until I decided that I should clean something to pass the time.

I know that there is a Janitor's closet in every floor of this building. Gideon is a a neat freak. I can tell you that he goes ballistic if he saw dust in any part of his house especially in our room.

I place a face mask because I know that even if I am taking my medication from my allergy there is still a chance that I might get triggered albeit not severe reaction but still sneezing repeatedly is not funny.

I put out the vaccum cleaner and to Scott's horrified look it means I am doing something wrong.

He scrambled out from his seat and run towards me.

"Ella. Ella! What are you doing?!"

"Cleaning? Do I look like doing something else?"

Maybe he wants me to clean his office first?

"You want me to start on your office?" I ask.

"You mean do I want to get fired and then killed by our boss by his bare hands? No thanks. Can -can you just do something else?" He begged.

"No. What is wrong with me vaccuming this floor?"

"Everything!" He wailed.

I roll my eyes to his response.

Scott is so dramatic sometimes. Cleaning is not a crime!

I decided to ignore him but when I look at the vaccum there are so many buttons. I hate gadgets.

"Uhm Scott can you set this up for me?"

"No way!"

"Okay then if I set this up myself and something goes wrong Gideon will get angry and...."

"Fine! Fine! You evil woman. If I get fired Ella "he started to rant again.

"No you'll not get fired for this! Gideon is very nice and generous he'll not do that!" Scotts just Scoff at my response.

I watch him click 3 buttons then the vaccum starts working. Scott immediately run to his office and lock his door. See. Weird.

They are so afraid of Gideon. I don't know why. Gideon is just like a big cuddly teddy bear. My teddy bear.

I started to vaccum on the other end of the hallway.

I was enjoying myself so I started to sing let it Go with of course wrong lyrics and off key.

In the middle of cleaning the elevator opened and two of the MIB steps out of the elevator. They comically stop when they saw me so I wave at them to pass through so that I can continue cleaning.

"Ma'am Ella I can do that for you." One of the MIB ask.

"No. No I can manage." I waved off his request.

"No ma'am I insist. You might get tired"

"I said no. I like doing this. I am not that tired.''

I was in the middle of explaining when I heard HIS voice.

"What is happening? And is that a Vaccum cleaner you are holding love?!"

The three of us look up at Gideon me sheepish and the other two beside me are frightened. I can feel the fear vibrating from their body.

"Well?" Gideon crossed his arms across his chest waiting for an explanation.

I felt someone nudge my back.

"Uhm. Well. You see Gideon. Hihihi. You are taking a long time so I decided to-" he cut off my explanation.

"So you decided to clean this floor? I can see that Love. And you two? What did you two do when you saw her cleaning?" He barked at the two MIB's behind me.

"Sir we tried telling her to stop cleaning and I even offered to do it instead of her but she refuse."

Wow. Where is the love? I look back and glare at them. Traitor!

"Come here love. I'll wrap up this annoying meeting. I am sorry this meeting took so long." I started walking toward Gideon dragging the vaccum behind me.

"Get the vaccum from her for Godsakes!" Gideon exclaimed.

Both of the MIB scrambled to get the contraption out of my hands.

We enter his office and I saw 4 people inside. Ranging Maybe mid 30s to early 40s.

"Is this the one who is making rucus outside?" The older one who looks sleazy ask.

Gideon ignores him.

I went on the other side of his office where his private room is located to not distract them from their ongoing meeting but I think I am not successful because I can hear them asking questions about me.

"If I saw you look at her one more fucking time forget about this meeting and look for another buyer."

That shut them up.

"To conclude this we agreed on $35million to your-"

"Wait what? We agreed on $50 million"

One of the suited man protest.

"Yes we did but you piss me off so I reduced it to 35 mil now if you want I can deduct more to bring the price down to 20mil Mr. Taylor. Try me."

"No sir. Yes 35 is a generous offer."

"Good. We'll send the contract to your office on Monday so your lawyers can recheck it. Gentlemen."

I heard multiple murmurs so I think the meeting is done?

Gideon found me standing beside the door drinking Yakult.

"How many did you drink love?"

I glance at the bin and he followed.

"That is your 5th one? You might get a tummy ache love."

I just shrug my shoulders. Is 1L of yakult not available? One mini bottle is not enough.

"Come on love Let's go home."

"Yey!" I cheered then proceeded to jump on his back.

I heard Gideon grunt from the impact but he quickly secure my legs to his slim waist and I wrap my arms around his neck.

"We will talk on Monday Scott" I see Scotts Gulps but maybe not I am not sure. I wave goodbye to Scott. One of the MIB is holding Gideon's attache case then the other one opened elevator.

"Am I not heavy Gideon?"

"Nope." Liar.

I wave goodbye to all the guards and the cleaners that we passby.

They are looking at us oddly. Can't blame them we really look odd.

We entered his black Rolls Royce and as we started our journey home I saw a dunkin donut. I want to try some donuts.

"Gideon''

''Hmm'' He looks down.

"Can we buy some donuts please."

"It is dinner time love. You need to eat a meal not a donut." He reminded.

"As a dessert then."

I gave him my puppy eyes and pouted for good measure.

He sigh and just nodded.

He press a button on his side and said

"To dunkin donuts Melvin"

Our car suddenly made a U-turn and in a minute we arrive at the shop.

I hurriedly remove my seatbelt and run inside the shop without waiting for Gideon.

As soon as I entered different rows of donut welcomed me.

I screamed internally in excitement.

There are teenagers inside the shop sitting on booths talking with their friends.

The door opened and I feel an arm slinking to my waist.

"Don't run out like that Ella! What if you get kidnapped?!"

You know what? Maybe Gideon is more Dramatic than Scott. He is crazy. No one will kidnap me. Heck they might return me back when they realize I am dirt poor.

We reach the counter and I don't know what to order. Too many choices. Can I buy on of each? I wonder.

"No love you can't" did I say my plan outloud?

"No I just know what you are thinking. Choose only 3 flavors. We wil come back next time."

Only 3? Unfair. I started to protest but when I saw his face I back down. I don't know if Gideon is my lover or my father.

I chose chocobutternut, chocolate glazed and Bavarian. I hope I chose right.

Gideon paid for my donut and we continue our journey back home.

I am tempted to eat one donut but to my dismay Gideon grab the box from me and place it on his side.

Stingy!

Arriving at our house instead of changing my clothes I went directly at the dining area and sat my ass down on the chair. As soon as they prepare my dinner then I can eat my donuts.

In a minute all the food are laid down infront of me.

Porkchop and mushroom gravy and there is also a mash as sides.

I want rice.

Gideon obviously change out of his suit and wear his sweat pants and black shirt.

As soon as he sat down he said.

"Where is the rice?" He demanded

One of the staff run inside the kitchen and brings out a big bowl of rice.

"I love you." I told him as a gratitude. He really knows me.

He started placing portions of food on my plate "I love you too Ella. Now Eat up love because tomorrow we will go to your Brother's house."

"Why?" I ask while watching him cut up my porkchop to smaller pieces.

"You have a sleepover. Don't tell me you forgot?"

Oh yeah! I forgot. Sorry Blakey!

Can't wait to see the house of Blake tomorrow. We will play dress up or I'll paint the nails of Blake. Don't forget tea party! Too many options! I am so excited!
